Brilliant! It worked! I am a 66 year old woman with few DIY skills and I managed this and without the Aquanol. I was getting prepared to go out and buy a new hand-held vac. Thank you SO much.
I took the switch assembly to pieces and cleaned it, and it WILL turn on and off with a screwdriver touched to the points, but will not work when the switch cover - the little end bit with the spring in - is replaced. Any ideas?
Might need another clean, i have 3 of these and 2 cleaned up straight away but the third took a lot more cleaning, Either that or the switch has failed in which case you can solder a new micro switch onto the board or you can get a new switch unit, but try another clean let it soak and work the switch to try and get any muck out.
Don't waste money buying a new switch, try this first. it cost's nothing to fix.
