I've always loved wretch and his music. I'm watching this video after a few drinks on a Sunday night and just realised its in Dungeness, in Kent on the south east coastline. I work in the power station at 0:29 when they have shutdowns to service the steam turbines, I'm there every two or three years. I've pedalled threw there and past that lighthouse to work on my mountain bike, absolutely beautiful place on a peaceful quiet morning. That old train track is from a small tourist train what goes around the area, it still does now but just on a different track and route.
As someone who got to see him play this live recently, I cannot recommend going to see him Live enough, you can really tell that this song is special to him, since he wrote it for his kids.

I was looking for the "Five words" compilations from about 16-17 years ago (silly quest, they would have all been washed away by now) and came across this. Got a "new" band to listen to now.
Looking at a lot of the comments a lot of the people don't understand how deep this song is!

Seriously! Why do people have som much hate for this song? I won't everybody who reads these comments just to take a minute and read this comment because I really don't think people think before they leave a comment that involves hate in it. I don't understand why people would be so nasty to leave things like that on, nobody wants to read a hate comment, it means nothing to any body it makes them stronger than weaker. And on this song, it has a lot of meaning through the lyrics and nobody see that and people should. It makes me speechless when reading mean comments because I don't think a single person who leaves hate comment can become as successful an Wretch 32. You are just low lives who has nothing better to do in there life instead of comment on such a amazing song with amazing lyrics. I'm hoping everyone will read this comment and think about how meanful this song is and hope people will stop hate on others as it dosent help anybody in the world,

This song is very very nice. Will definitely be a classic. This song belongs in the classics. A song 20 years later will still have that great vibe, emotion and memories. Like madonna songs in the 80s and early 90s.
