I always make myself read books as much as possible to learn real things and always remember real hackers don't use tools like what's todays going on youtube but instead they tend to write their own script to exploit because the condition can be random and sometimes tricky even this is the easiest part of whole process, the hard part is you need to read IR to figure out mechanics.

As a ctf player and reverse engineer i don't think modding is so easy as you are showing, even now i always keep a notebook to write down as i reversing intermediate code into logical statements.
You had just done a quick search about some random strings which is a very bad idea to reversing IR (here, smali in case of android) there are some good practices you should follow like you first need to find entrypoint and reversing a huge codebase consist of smali is not an easy task so code navigator, debugger also make sense in these situations.

So how hard would it be to modify the camera app to make the pro photo settings have 100x zoom like it does in the normal photo setting, instead of being limited to 20x? Auto settings are trash, like it purposely goes blurry after showing you how sharp it can be just to tease you.
