- For many, Dangerous Game Hunting remains the last frontier of those grand adventures from yesteryear. Hunting Cape Buffalo from our southern base, Woodlands Safari Estate, is arguably the finest Buffalo hunting experience in the Eastern Cape. With large numbers and weary old bulls spread across 30 000 acres, the hunter will be left in agreement with Harry Tennison, as he eloquently described the relationship between hunting and Cape Buffalo; “You don’t get engaged to a Cape Buffalo, you get married to him - for life - his or yours. Not as fast as a Lion or as rapid as a Leopard, not as large as an Elephant, not as bad-tempered as a Black Rhino, but committed to one thing - living”.
Join our Masters of Adventure as we embarked on an open site journey with their original Westley Richards rifles and their extraordinary quest for Cape Buffalo. It’s a challenge not be taken lightly, but one to revel in. It’s the ultimate hunt, with the ultimate foe.

The best part of the video is at 12:13 when the son says: 'Thank you dad'
Thats what i saw first time and here you are posting the same. Amazing how such behaviour also draws attention.
A father helping his sons to become men. We have enough powder puffs in society.
The thing I can conclude from these cape buffalo hunting videos some can shoot really well some can't.
What i would like to point out in the video is the appreciation these young guys have , especially when after the blonde young man shot his buffalo he still had time to say thanks to his dad at 12:13. Thats what makes this video special. Well brought up young gentlemen appreciating what is made available to them. Good job guys. Lovely video.
We couldn’t agree more with you! Fine young men!
A thanks to the buff would have been nice to see…!
Great to see hunting as "a family affair". The PH's dog is a hoot!
Wow, truly fantastic. I always feel as if I am part of the hunts. What a privilege it must be to take 3 amazing buffs and at the same time doing it with your Father/Sons. Well done guys.
.m
Open site wow perfect shot on second 🐃 to put him down
Kudos to dad. The boys were well taught. Good gun safety. And top it off with open sights. Well done!
Absolutely! Great young men!
This is the reason why i make videos
Beautiful Buffalo,love this Channel🇿🇦
Just outstanding, and just when I was starting to have Eastern Cape withdrawal symptoms - because there aren't enough new John X vids coming out!!
Thanks chaps.
And to the young man (men) who (I'm assuming) shot his/their first inyati:
'Ukudubula okuhle, mfondidi'.
God bless,
Dave
Congratulations. Much needed meat for many mouths.
Chaps I’ll tell you what... this channel is baaaaad news for me... busy trying to write exams and all I wanna do is binge your vids... need to get into the bush soon
The young man's a great shot - He should be very proud. Excellent shot placements.
Two tuff young men dad should be proud of them great photoage
Great video live buffalo hunting😬
Nice to see some jack’s work!
Good shooting with no scope. Well done!
The dad's hunting jacket looked sharp. If I ever go on a Safari I'll be sure to dress the part.
By @06:00 I am completely convinced the family of those Young Men is amazing, when they know the next move the make the move, when they are unsure the look to for advice. A great group of dudes!
Great people indeed!
Those boys can shoot.
Great video, lovely to see such a wonderful relationship between father and sons!
Congratulations!
Loving this 😍 keep it up chaps 💪

Well done boy's
Congratulations to the 3 hunters , what wonderful memories for a father and his 2 boys, great shooting and a fantastic vid, thanks for sharing your hunt with us.
Jis those lighties can shoot
Good hunting Black Death can take a Bullet like a tank except for high shoulder spinal, neck and head shots
Ricardo Jansen glad you enjoyed it! You’re so right!
Shooting Irons on a Mauser pattern rifle. Really old school.
Well done
Great shooting! I just wish they would tell us what rifles and loads they're shooting.
Hope you at least tasted one of those buffalo you hunted! Great meat on those animals!
Every last bit!
🐃🐃
Julle maak die beste jag videos. Dankie.
Baie Dankie! Geniet!!
Another good hunt, well done guys. You cameraman did excellent work.
@@JohnXSafarisExperience New releases will have to wait a few weeks, I have a few other projects keeping me busy, have to put food on the table!
what i would like to know is how do they transport that massive animal out of that bush??
When I shot mine they cut it in half and put it the back of the land cruiser
Just a little thing. There so stuff called windbreaker, so’s you know.
super 👌
Claudio Lopez Abenza glad you enjoyed our video 👌👍
Great shooting and excellent hunting!! What calibers were they shooting?
15:02. LOL. Was that "though weather"? I heard 'kak weather'. Both correct though.
Groete uit Texas.
What caliber are those guns?
I wounder could you use a 22lr.
What calibre rifles were they using?
Probably 416 Rigby. The sons looked like they had the Mauser 98 Magnum
Hoekom skiet hulle nie met n scope nie?
baie mense verkies oop visier
Ek verkies ook open sights
Hi Joe can I come to your house again someday
It took 3 of y’all to shoot it down lol
I see hunters carrying their guns holding the barrel and stock over their shoulder. I have done tests in mill with action in vise you can bend the barrel with one finger. That is not a great ideal to carry gun that way. A sling attached to stock if the best no damage to rifle. Not a fable I have proved in real world. It is physics equal and opposite reaction. You can and will bend the barrel.
Jealous beyond words...
If a guy had ambitions of becoming a PH, say moved to ____… is there anyway to start at the bottom and work into a position? Assuming he is adept at the multiple facets of the job…or is this something yore born into..
It’s most certainly something you’re able to pursue! Follow your dreams and you’ll go anywhere you desire in life!
why on earth do they wear ear plugs id want to hear all the sounds not have them muffled with ear plugs
Ear protection to avoid problems later in life 👍
Stopped watching when a kid who hasn’t got pubic hair yet shots a buffalo and then the whole gang playing yihaa and the kid still running around with a rifle trying to get a shot between the supposed adults.... Is it just me or is this some kind of missing link between hunting and madness? Not blaming the kid though, not his fault.
FZ
this might be illegal
Great vid but man Americans are funny. Dressing for the Vietnam war or dressing for hunting, no difference.
Your guns weren’t made for buffalo hunting. If you gonna have to shoot 5 or 6 times
no it's all about shot placement my guess is that's a 375 h&h magnum fine for buffalo as long as you shoot in the right place
All you guys would look good in the cross-hairs
