Without a doubt about the best dodge and burn tutorial I have come across. The verbalization of the process is what makes it so very understandable as to the whys of the entire process. BRILLIANT
,,,just discovered your channel. Your methods are not generally what we see from other retouchers. Your full length tutorials are very instructive and for us have revealed a depth to PS we never knew existed! We look forward to seeing more and are now subscribers. Thank you, Eli. Canada here.
Best video to learn d&b ... no need to apologize that the video is too long ... the longer the better ... thanks so much teaching us .... we realy appreciate !!!! 5/5 stars !!!
Hey Eli, Greetings from Germany! Very impressive your tutorial. I am very excited to use the new experiences from your video. Since I only discovered your video now, I'm probably no longer one of the first 5 users to receive your action "free of charge"... ;-) Many greetings Alan
i am watching this vedeo more than 10 time so finally i got concept behind dodge and burn thankyou so much eli sir! ... Hope another action giveway soon !
Hi Eli, been following you in insta for a while, just want to say your images and colors are inspiring - these tutorials are incredible, love the presentation style too - keep them coming and thanks !
I bought your photoshop pack. Trying to learn it by watching your videos. I guess my question is does this work for say fixing sunburn spots? On an arm or leg as well? I was using a paintbrush, eye dropped a color tone that was more appealing and painting over it.
Eli - what a lovely tutorial. I am wondering what is local dodge and global dodge and by the time the tutorial got over it is very clear. It is such a detailed explanation which one never forgets. The manipulation of helper layer to identify the areas to dodge/burn is a great idea. Many thanks for posting such videos. I am restless and I want to practice right away. Good job Bro.
Maybe I'm confused... what is the difference between this method and your frequency separation method using the mixer brush? Don't those methods really achieve the same results? What determines which method you'd use and why?
just found your channel subbed and loved it. most of all I love your work flow. do you have a video on your actions and how to set those up. looking forward to your future videos!!!
Thanks for the tutorial, really helpful and fun. Few days ago I was trying to do this myself after you mentioned on a recent video, but I was missing the global DB adjustments that evens all out. This video filled a lot of the gaps on skin and lighting knowledge I was missing. I'm right now slowly transitioning from LR to PS and those actions you have mentioned on this and previous videos would be really helpful, it would be awesome if you select me to have one of those. Thanks again!
