Thank you for your thoughts and a fun project! I so agree that our supplies inspire us as we see them. I love the idea of petting them, haha. It is a good idea to know what I have:
Hi Kim, I can admire the idea & your construction standards but can't see myself doing all that work. I do love how you've pre-made your snippet rolls & have them at the ready in any colour way desired. Bravo, H
@@imagesbykim Not so sure about that but it did inspire me to make a boho snippet roll that will fit on one of my wooden spools. Did some slow stitching on that baby last night. I think I did a Part 1 video on it so far.
Good morning my dear Kim! Love this and so easy to do. Love the size of them. My sister in law Tracy has made me 20 spools using rolling pins. I am patiently waiting for them so that I can use them all. I will plan on making some of these as well. I’ve used glue dots to tack the edge down as well. I’m like you, I don’t want the stuff moving around. Thanks so much for sharing. ❤ hugs and blessings to you and Tom
Thank-you Jen! I would love to have you make some in a video. To see your creations and how you use them would be fun! It is always nice to see someone else's designs. Happy creating!
Unique and beautiful! Thank you! I live in Ohio so baskets are and easy find and not to expensive; lol. Longaberger ones I even sprayed a couple my husband said you painted those lol. I said Im keeping themm not selling them. But teal and pink are my theme colors. 😊❤71 years old and having an interesting life! Happy New zyear and New Ways! ❤
Thank-you Nancy, would love to see your creations, please be sure to give Izzie a little scratch for me, right behind her ears. Have a very creative week! xo
Love this idea for when I don’t have an old spool. Your snippet rolls are beautiful too. It is so great having you back again!! I missed your cheerful voice and great instructions. Vicky
What a useful and beautiful creation - thank you for sharing the process and your thinking/planning! Especially your suggestion for keeping them the same height. Looking forward to your desk tour! Happy crafting 🩵 Lori
Thank-you Peggy for all of your lovely comments! Sounds like the wheels are turning....or should I say spools LOL Have a very creative week and yes please do share your creations on fb in the crafting with eyes wide open group. Happy creating!
Love your snippets. Motivates me to get ready to work and create with bits and pieces. I adore the flowers. I am repurposing a shoe rack to upgrade my from my self designed rack made from clothing rack. I want towatch you spool creating. I'll share pics of racks later
these are very cool and would look so lovely on a shelf for sure... love the ones with your snippet rolls on them, you know as crazy as it sounds I have not made a snippet roll yet LOL
Thx Caroline, Well there is a video to be done, making a snippet roll and putting it on a spool! Add it to the list LOL Have a very creative week darlin! xo
Happy New Year! You were recommended on UA-cam because I discovered Cass from Clutterbug over a year ago and she has helped me many times over! I’m just starting to get into sewing! Now you’re expanding my creative side. Thank you!
I am planning on just going to make holes to place spools on metal bars of shoe rack. I like the dowels for making stands. I am guessing that I might pad inside of tube for stablity for eack spools.
I enjoyed the project. I'm super interested in how you made the snippet rolls starting with bedsheets. Going now to look at your channel to see if you've done a tutorial on those. Thanks!
I have saved circles from ribbon rolls and cardboard food lids. Now I don't have cut the circles. Now I need to find them since everything was thrown into boxes to have new floor installed.
Hello Kim, I’m new to your channel. What a great idea! I love those spools for snippets. Where did you keep them when they’re full of snippet rolls? Trish
Thank-you Trish! They now have a home on a shelf in my studio with all of my fancy laces and trims. One day I will do a tour of that area of the room. Have a very creative day!
I liked your video but the smoke detector chirping in the background because it had a low battery was super-distracting and stressful. I had to keep pausing the video to walk through my house to see where the sound was coming from. Finally I realized I only heard it when the video was playing, and that it must be on your end. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this!
I am sorry the noise was distracting for you and possibly for others. Unfortunately, I create my videos with background noise all the time. Whether it is a smoke detector, our dog barking because it is supper time, a pet ruckus, and a husband sawing or drilling or mowing the lawn right outside my studio door, it is what it is and will not be edited. There are many times I am distracted by other ytbrs videos myself, and my own solution is to use the close caption feature on the video. It really helps. Thx, have a very creative day.
@@imagesbykim Thanks for your response! I think those other things are pretty common background noise; my concern was that it made me feel really unsafe. Thinking that my home had a smoke detector that was going bad. I would suggest maybe just putting a note in the video description that the smoke detector chirp is on your end, so that others don't spend a ton of time worrying about theirs! 🙂
Thank you for your thoughts and a fun project! I so agree that our supplies inspire us as we see them. I love the idea of petting them, haha. It is a good idea to know what I have:

My dear Hazel if you make one spool and see how it looks, you will be making more LOL Have a very creative weekend!
@@imagesbykim Not so sure about that but it did inspire me to make a boho snippet roll that will fit on one of my wooden spools. Did some slow stitching on that baby last night. I think I did a Part 1 video on it so far.
