1:11 only the DM (Driving Motor) cars have the transverse seats because the motor is directly below the seats making for hard space usage, the UNDMs (Non-coupling driving motors) also have it for the same reason. The T cars (trailing) cars have no motors and hence use the sideways facing bench seat config. Hope that answered your question!

2:16 the trains were ordered as 4+3 units. The drivers cab is always a 33xx unit that was meant to be used in off - peak times but never used.
