Damiani has two modes. Going extremely long periods of time without saying a word, or going extremely long periods of time talking uninterrupted without anyone else saying a word.
Both modes are really bad for conversation too.. he either doesn't speak and Blood has to directly ask him for his input, or he gets going on something he cares about (Square, Nintendo, etc) and barely takes a breath for minutes, making it hard for others to join the coversation. In his defense, I'm sure doing this remotely makes it much harder to to insert yourself in natural conversation.
@@Coreyahno he’s a typical modern podcast participant. He respects everyone to the point of being useless, he doesn’t question anything anyone says because that would be “offensive”.

I absolutely ADORE Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. But Arnold as the Terminator is the correct answer to this debate. T2 for me is like Arnold at the peak of his powers.
Blood's take on toasted almonds is 100% correct. Here in Italy, we eat almonds toasted all the time. The difference in taste and texture are night and day.
Love Don’s final word about movie snacking. Funny and relatable trying to snack quietly in the darkness of a theater. The worst is when the movie reaches an eerily quiet moment, while you are in middle of chomping, fearing that every bite audibly bounces around the theater.
Love and Respect allies! Still my favorite podcast after all these years. Thank you Blood, Isla, Damiani, Huber, Don, and Gabby for all you do every week to bring some of the best gaming coverage on the internet! Especially appreciate Damiani for sticking with the crew and showing up remotely each week! Also, shout out to Don’s Final Word. That’s the kind of goofy fun that has always made you guys #1. Keep up the great work!!
Just sad they didn't ever talk about Exoprimal much considering that game was trying some very weird and interesting things with an oversaturated genre.
Absoulutely agree with everything said about kunitsu-gami!! everyone should check it out. Not sure if it'll become a new series but i'd love to see capcom expand on the gameplay.
Pricing is certainly relative to your means but a purchase can also be a good or bad value, and it's useful to have critics weigh in on that. Just because you can afford to buy a banana for $100 doesn't mean it's a good purchasing decision.
I’d say Arnold as the terminator is more iconic because when I think of terminator as a whole, I think of him, whereas when I think of Wolverine, I think of the 90s cartoon Wolverine. 1:35:36 ☠️ 1:44:46 lmao
Kinda shocked Huber didn’t dig Flintlock. Yeah it has some jank and doesn’t really hold a candle to games like it but I found it pretty easy to enjoy for what it is since it does have some cool ideas. It’s also pretty short. I did some of the side quests but mostly just breezed through it. It’s swimming for sure and it’s on Game Pass so it’s worth a shot imo
The souls multiplier and banking mechanics arent exactly new to flintlock. They were in both Lords of the Fallen and The Surge series. Suprising that Huber hasnt played those games, especially The Surge 2 as its actually one of the best souls-likes that exists.
OG Lords of the Fallen and Surge 1 are superb games (some of my favorites ever, in fact), Surge 1 in particular. While i did enjoy the QoL improvements to gear and implants in Surge 2 i was, never-the-less, extremely disappointed with Surge 2 overall.
@@Echo__plex Souls is clunky. Even the Easy Allies have been guilty of R1 spamming in Souls. Lords was doing its own thing, deserves another look from all.
@@charoleawood From Software games have always been more measured than Clunky. They have the right type of movement for whatever the game is. A lot of other developers still haven’t quite grasped that yet.
@@BasketCase-rr7tx i hated Souls when first i tried them and they certainly didn't feel "measured" to me, they felt clunky. And that chunkiness is on purpose, it's the biggest thing separates the genre from character action games like Ninja Gaiden (my bread and butter) and Devil May Cry. Players of Souls and Souls-likes must become "measured" in the way they play versus the more intuitive elegance of the character action genre. The movement in OG Lords and the way weapon combos work is unique from Souls, but purists didn't want to adjust their playstyle. They still accused the game of being unoriginal and couldn't give credit to those things it was doing differently even as the differences were clearly deliberate. The world of OG Lords is much smaller and more cramped than any of the From titles, its slower pace of movement is intentional. Besides, Souls can feel painfully slow to me --- especially DS1, which i think is a terribly overrated game. The combat system of OG Lords allows for more than single action swipes and strikes thus bringing a measure elegance while still having that intentional clunkiness what makes the genre. When i first played Lords in 2016 using Games With Gold i was not yet a fan of the genre. Lords helped me get there and afterward i went back to Demon's and found myself in love with it. Lords unlocked the enjoyment of a genre for me and every time i replay it i think "wow, this is still a great game and deserves more love!"
The open beta had an 8% DROP from the closed beta. Which is insane. Apparently it plays well but hero shooters are just oversaturated, no one wants another one when Overwatch and Valorant are there.
About to watch and hoping y’all have a review on Dungeons of Hinterburg as well. It’s been quite fun with a little mix of Zelda and social sim like Persona
I found the Kunitsu-gami demo to be extremely slow going. The game played itself. No difficulty at all. Does the full game get better and do I have to play through the same monotonous intro to get to the fun?
Agreed. I was really looking forward to it, and after trying the demo, it didn't gel how I had hoped. I think it was the way the camera has to be moved around. The close or further away at that angle doesn't give a good view of the field. I also fear what was in the demo is what the whole game is.
