I mean what a perfect late afternoon ride. Smooth 6-cil sound, smooth driving, sun going down, fall scenery, almost no talking. Love it
It was relaxing and invigorating at the same moment.
lovely
I've never driven one of those but given the awkward configuration that thing is probably not smooth!
@@SoulTouchMusic93 they’re incredibly smooth
Just hoping the price of r32 don go up in five years
This was the last of the truly classic looking golfs imo.
Because it was just like 3rd gen and V gen stepped far away in modern styling. So there is hardly any argument to be made
@@cyjanek7818 The 6th Golf looks really classy tho
Classic looking good styling YES.. but very heavy to drive
To me the mk5 was the last, maybe mk6. After that quality went downhill fast
@@JMNTN mk6 good quality? Forgot about all the tsi engines that drink oil like a russian drinks wodka?
Who cares if this isn't the fastest lap. It's such a smooth lap and soothing sound.
Who verify the lap times to make sure they correct just curious is it the same company that did the ssc tuatara run
Legit so much fun I’m sure. Indeed satisfying passing each car along with that exhaust note 💥
The symphony of the VR6 is amazing
I think the R32 is a normal v6?
@@axelschwaiss1576 No its not a V6
@@sergiomoreno5103 it technically is but isn't, thats what makes it cool
@@sv_cheats1970 yeah, its a strange motor and sounds amazing
@@axelschwaiss1576 No its a narrow V with a single cylinder head, the amazing sound comes from the 3 short and 3 long intake runners and 3 short and 3 long exhaust......i miss mine...i transplanted a 3.6 R36 engine in to mine with a turbo....
A typical Boxster driver if I ever saw one......
The exhaust sounds like two trombones playing in unison. :)
This guy is a nice smooth driver, that wookie was purring 🖤
Of the 30 cars I have owned my MKV R32 is the only one I miss, I extended the lease twice, only car I have kept 5 years, it made me smile every time I drove it.
This car is so cool 2 doors, manual gear box, 4 motion, 3.2vr6, amazing
Best part of my day is when I seat quietly in my home at night, watching Misha's videos at the nurburgring.
It's so easy to push these into understeer. The driver did a fantastic job keeping everything smooth!
OOh I miss my old Golf R32, I had an upgraded haldex, suspension from ACE competition and so on. That car was so funny in the winter here in northern Sweden =)
Sometimes at Winter Times, when i miss my DBP Golf 5 R32 i go into the Garage and open the Door and turn the key on the MK4 R32 and dream from the next Summer^^
what do you mean upgraded haldex, controler gen1 tuned ?
@@hortenIX It was a software upgrade that made it more rwd biased. It made actually a huge difference.
So fun to watch! Very smooth driving! I just bought a mk4 r32 (all stock) a month ago, and I can't be more happy. What an amazing car!! A classic!!
My first car was a 2001 mk4 1.8t, i fell in love with the mk4's and got a special place in my heart. i wish i can someday own a r32 in the green colour i had mine in.
This VR6 and the Alfa Romeo Busso are the best V6s ever made.
Nissan 350z sounds also cool
W205 C43: hold my synthetic oil...
Somewhat different take on it but the Renault/Nissan V9X is pretty special in its own way, even if it is a diesel, as well - there is something very satisfying about a good V6.
Audi 2.7 TT would like a word
100% had both
Loved this video. I could listen that beautiful exhaust note all day long . Thanks for sharing this hot lap in your R32 . 👍
I love R32's but I am sorry... The "Baby GT-R" is the Pulsar GTi-R
I owned the pulsar and it was known in certain circles as the egg , delicate because it would blow up at any moment...the gearbox was crap but excellent drive otherwise..
Yeah but the r32 got a rear bias 4x4 and you can boost that engine to like 700 with upgraded internals and it would hold. I don't know how much power the manual gearbox will take but the automatic will do 1300. For a while.
@@SoulTouchMusic93 Haldex front Bias
@@buildindian8169 I had a mate with one, the thing needed a priest not a mechanic. Good fun though.
It’s in regard to the noise it makes, nothing else
Very smooooth lap, love the VR6 sound
those VR-6 Engines always sound great, had a friend with a corrado VR-6 'Storm' edition I drove it a few times and the sound of that V6 engine always sounded amazing
Wookie noises, gotta live em!!!
12 valve ones sound especially lovely
I’ll never forget the first time I sat in one at the dealership when I was a kid. That interior was the coolest thing to me. The suede headliner, amazing pedals, chunky steering wheel, the seats! And I still feel the same today. They’re timeless.
What a nice chilled lap. The thing looks and sounds sick.
I really enjoyed this lap, very nice car, nice sound and a very good controlled driver, hell i'm going to watch it again!👌
My dream car!
He wouldn't mind a trade ;-)
I think if you trade in the gt2 rs and put some cash on top he may agree to trade it 😂😂
Just get a tt, there's plenty of them with the vr6.
@@SoulTouchMusic93 not the same
I always loved the R32's, he's got nice wheels too..reminds me of a Lancia. Great video
Awesome sound, like you said sounds like a GT-R... and awesome wheels to man 👌🏻
Nice video Misha (like always)
One of my new favourite channels, great spectrum of cars and info. Not the usual UA-cam “look at my new .....”
So nice, just pure driving and racing as we love it 👏👏
One of the best hot hatches ever build, super!!👍
THE Golf R. The MkIV was the last of the classic Golfs. I had a GTI (1999) and boy did I love that car. It was just the perfect city companion for a young man in his early 20's. That car became part of my identity. I'd love to pick up a Golf R like this one but all the ones I'm finding online are quite beat up or high miles.
I owned a 2003 for 12 years from new before I reluctantly sold it, even so I managed to get 50% of its purchase value back at that point as well. What I will say which is pretty amazing is that a stock version of this did a 8.37s lap of the Nordschleife and bearing in mind this car is 20 years old its actually only 9% slower than the fastest modern mk8+ laps it. The engine and noise is far more satisfying as well. It would also not surprise me if the 3.2L NA V6 is far more bomb proof than the highly strung 2L modern equivalent.
The car is gorgeous and jeeeezzzz it sounds even beter
Amazing driving skills and a beautiful car! I also own an MK4 R32 deep blue and did my first Nürburgring lap a few month ago. I was so excited and I think my lap time was twice as long as yours :D
Always love that sound of the R32! I am glad that I still have mine ❤️! I wasn’t aware that the r32 had a faster steering rack. Always fun to know these fun facts 👍🏻
I found that out when I replaced mine and couldn’t find one for 6 months lol
These things are great, the VR6 is an amazing engine. Been in a couple pushing more than 600hp with a turbo, they were insane.
One of my daily drivers is 2008 VW R32 which I had modified at a company called New German Performance in Virginia. Added a Turbo, tuned, new suspension and now I am adding an advanced differential. Probably near 400HP. Car only has 34,000 miles on it. I call it my smile machine as it is just a hoot to drive and that sound mixed in with the spooling turbo!
VR6s sound 👌! I had a 1994 Corrado VR 6 for 12 years from new. I took it to the track a number of times with only some basic mods (ie suspension, brake pads/lines/fluid, exhaust and chip, and track tires). I was able to keep up and/or pass many ‘faster’ cars. It was a joy to drive!
I have a red R32 and a jazz blue tdi 130 colour concept. Love them both. Mk4 for life !
That induction sound 😍
Impressive car and driver did great at showing it's performance ! My love to all at Apex Taxi !
R32 owners love there car. So hard to find one with low miles. Thanks for the video
This makes me love my 3-door Mk5 R32 even more. Similar (or the same) blue too.
Ah - wonderful sound. No particular filter was harmed in this video! Great Video!
Smooth and cool driving !
Sweet Golf, the OG R
Very nice drive, smooth with no drama.
Sounded like tires giving up at end.
I loved my 2004 R32 and miss it to this day. In my opinion VW's best sounding engine.
Nice laid back driving style making it look easy...............Mk4 R32's getting rare now a great car......
I wish i could share pictures on UA-cam. But this video totally explains why i got my R32!!!
And i would always buy it again. Love that car!!!
A very calm & composed drive. Would have been very relaxed and felt very safe in the passenger seat. With some additional advanced instruction I feel that this guy would really shine.
Awesome! Love golf4
Greetings from Switzerland.
I looked up the definition of smooth in the dictionary and it sent me to this lap with this driver in this car. That was nice!
if a lap at the ring could be considered relaxing this was it. great video...
Definitely my fav vw golf
This guy is really smooth! Nice lap.
Great to see the VW R32 getting so love :)
Great drive, loved it.
Holy crap isn’t this a dream-made video! I’ve been chasing one of these down in the states for years. One day!
Jeez it sounds so good!
Literally the first thing I did when I got my Sim rig was hop in that weird Renault Clio V6 and went for a lap of the Nordschliefe because GT sport doesn’t have the MK4 R32, lol
What a noise 😍
Fav alloys ever
Awesome car!!! Awesome sound!! Lot of emotions... Love it!!
For me this is the perfect TF drive. No need to be right on the limit, just drive and enjoy!
What a beautiful car.
What a beautiful noise
I own a MK4 GTI, but have always wanted a MK4 R32...my personal favs of the R line
That's some smooth sailing right there, nice.
Lovely tune coming from that VR6and it looked so smooth on the track :)
OH MY GOD MY DREAM CAR IN NURBURGRING!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I HAVE A GOLF TDI AND IN FUTURE I WILL HAVE A R32
Lovely drive!
MK4 R32 Legend Car 💙🔥😍 VR6 Sound best Sounds ever!
Nice smooth ride!
That sound! I still miss mine.
Pretty car with a lovely rumble!
Now thats a proper vw🤩
Whoa... I have not watched the entire video yet... bot OMG what a gorgeous car!
the only golf i'd keep for a while ^^
and that guy deff knew his way around the N-ring !
What a nice lap! 👏👏👏
Amazing lap!
Sounds so full.. Nice.
Love a mk4 r32, one of the best sounding engines ever in my opinion espicially when running a decat
Add decat for a vw tvr
Sounds great
I wish my car had that cool Sound.
It’s really nice.
What memories, had a black one but never tracked it. But the sound is one of a kind :)))
How much i love this my dream car 😻
The MK4 R32 is a superb car. A bit fat and slow maybe but they handle really well and were "special" unlike the modern R. Nice to see one being used properly
Nice smooth lap 👍👍😎😎👌👌👍😎😎👍😎
Best Golf „R“ ever. 😎 1.000 thumbs up
A beautiful lap
Love to see a good wookie howling at the ‘ring! Great vid :)
I really liked the sound of the V6 😁
I've got a 400hp turbo Mk4 R32, and this video really makes me miss the stock exhaust note. I live a mile above sea level, so I needed a little extra oomph to make up for the thin air. The turbo just takes away some of that smooth brassy note though. Even with a few bumps and bruises I still love the car almost 20 years into owning it.
silky smooth!
I would love to see some kind of real-time telemetry from a Harry's Lap Timer or something that could display when the Haldex is actually kicking in on an old R32/ TT 3.2. When the front end washes out laterally does the Haldex respond, or mostly just if you try to put the power down on corner exit and get some wheelspin. Gotta say I never got bored heel-toe'ing my old GTI VR6 24v, even deep into 200k miles. Engine revs sounded glorious...
Those cars are so sickkk 💯🔥
clean driving
V6+AWD = best Golf ever!
sounds really good!
Sounds good!
It's 2023 and that's still my dream car.
Old but not obsolete. VR6 power with amazing sound
Your videos are satisfying etc you name it...
God I miss this engine loved my MK5, was the best through tunnels full throttle. I have a GT350 now and I still wish I had a golf to park next to it.
