FYI: Loreen is back and will represent Sweden again at Eurovision 2023 with the song Tattoo. Check out her performance at the Melodifestivalen 2023 (the semi-final is readily available online), such an artistic performance as well just like Euphoria.

So a little fact for you, she was acually sick here with a cold and that effected her voice a bit. There is a high note originally after the bridge thats amazing that she skipped here because her voice was not in the best condition so i recommend that you watch her performance in the swedish competition Melodifestivalen (its from that competition you get to Eurovision) that she won with this song!!

Yeah, she sounded even better at the Swedish competition. It still amazes me how outclassed everyone else still sounded while she was having an off day.
Loreen smiling at 1:15 and 3:51 was genuine because she was overwhelmed being the favourite most likely winner beforehand, she was overrun by emotions.

One thing i like about Eurovision is that they have minimal effects on the sounds and autotune or whatever is not allowed. In the early days they even had a live orcestra to help.
Loreen is very good, she had backup singers in this and you can hear that but Loreen pulled the heavy loads of this song.
I only just realised how much effects are on the voices in almost any other show!
Yeah, but because of that 90 % of the whole show is painful to listen to 😂 so many bad singers that hit barely any note
Fun fact: at 6:06 when she missed the note it was actually one of the snow particles she inhaled and when she redid it again when she won she had the snow put behind her so it wouldnt happen again.
Totally true. There are interviews where she explains what happened. She swallowed it and continued like the pro she is.

That year we all knew who was going to win. As soon as the song starts she showed us that she knew too.
Loreen is a pure artist. She deserve so much more recognition!
She changed the contest forever with this song. Was a real turning point.
Euphoria is (IMO) one of the best ever Eurovision performances. The thing is, it was ground-breaking at the time. Prior to this, Eurovision contestants basically gave a stage performance. Euphoria signalled a new direction for performances by basically being a music video, performed live on stage. Since then, many entrants have done this, and Sweden basically has it down to a science.
I think this is a bit of a overstatement. a lot of acts in last decades ware actually criticised for being just music video instead of a live performance. Also Euphoria was nothing special when it comes to act it self if you remove the amazing vocals and song.
Ruslana was far better in that regard and in my opinion is still the best act so far. Ruslana has left it all on that stage! her hart, her soul, ten years of her life and portably her voice. We can probably argue till forever which song is better. but performance wise Ruslana with Wild Dances is in a league of its own. Period!
There will never be a winner like Loreen again, and I'm so proud she represented my home country.

Her mesmerizing performance really shows her capabilities as an artist as she visualizes some historical moments of humanity while the song itself is totally unique and haunting. It's one of my personal favourites! I also would love to see your reaction to "Dami Im - Sound of Silence" who probably had the best vocal performance at Eurovision EVER!

Yay, Eurovision! And the Swedish winner, no less! Thank you for reacting to Loreen. Eurovision gets a lot of flack for being a bit silly and campy but there are SO MANY great singers and performances out there. One I would highly recommend you check out is Australia's entry from 2019, Kate Miller-Heidke's Grand final performance of "Zero Gravity". Now, she can sing! And her performance makes her singing just a tad bit more impressive. ;)

Perhaps you’ve heard it already (or not), but Floor Jansen (Nightwish) has a new cover-song. This song *_”Euphoria”_* was sung by Loreen from Sweden who won the 2012 Eurovision Songcontest. Sadly due to her surgery she wasn't able to participate in the AVROTROS Beste Zangers Eurovision Song Contest special.
Btw. This Eurovision Songcontest is a (yearly recurring) contest which takes place in the country that has won this in the year before. (Participants from around 35 countries).

Just have to comment on the breathing thing that you noticed. She said in an interview that this performance is very technical and that she needs to remember exactly where to breathe or it'll "destroy the harmony" or she wouldn't be able to keep singing it the way it's supposed to be. She wasn't supposed to breathe in between that "Euphoria" making it "Eupho-ria", exactly as you described it. You were alert to hear that, I just thought it was cool 😄 this is a live performance so it just happened that way, but yeah, she knows it sounds better the way you wanted it. The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) is basically the biggest televised music program in the world, where different European nations and a few others compete against each other. Only two people have won it twice, Johnny Logan for Ireland and now Loreen for Sweden, as she won this year again. She competed with the song Tattoo and I think you should really react to the Grand Final performance of that song too.
