That was a blast!! You make learning so much fun! Never has anybody explained the how and why as well as you. I'm sure I am not the only one who appreciates the hell out of you. Thanks for all you do for us. Much love💋💚
I don’t even know what to say… this was one of the best videos ever!!! Thank you for your time and expertise!!! I could not get over the difference in the brow gel application!!! WOW! Thanks again!!! 😊
This upload was super helpful Cheri!! I have been wearing makeup since I was 13 but I've grown, I've evolved...(aged 🤪) but always enjoy new tricks or techniques!! Specially from yoo!! 🥰❤️ However, they will have to pry my deepest darkest black noir Chanel eyeliner from my dead hand!! 🤣🤣
This was fantastic.. made me laugh and was also painful at times, too.. I’ve seen that sort of makeup application all too often.. have to hold myself back from wanting to ‘help’ but like you said, it could be the way they wanted it to look. I especially loved “we are ready for our close up Mr DeMille!”😂🤣👏🏻
This has helped me so so 🎉 much! I love the UA-cam beauty community. And I’m learning the hard way, that a lot of videos and products aren’t great for my age. I absolutely love your channel. Thank you. ❤x
Girl. GIRL! I have *never* heard nor seen explained eyelash curling till you! I thought the repeated clamping was all at the base, which to me, made no sense! I'm all about a smokey eye, even when I don't mean to, it's just part of me. I think, being an artist myself, I'm always averse to a harsh line, so I buff out my liner usually with a bronze to soften that line. Glad to see that here! You're the queen. I'm following along with this. 🎉❤
Wonderful. I'm 72. I never had freckles as a kid. Now as an older woman, my "age spots" are embraced. Light foundation. No contouring. One eyeshadow. Be your beautiful self.
I am so happy i watched this vid. I do some of the things right but i also overdo the bronzer and brow gel and now i realize its not a good look. especially as i'm middle aged. Thanks for this
What are the other four face powders that you like the most and especially which one you choose when you want a pore-free flawless skin texture that blends into the skin and does not make you look cakey🌺🌺😘😘
EXCELLENT TIPS,I PERSONALLY DON'T USE CONCEALER BUT IF I DO IT'S VERY SMALL AMOUNT. I WILL TRY YOUR TECHNIQUES. I DON'T LIKE ALOT OF PRODUCTS NOW AS I DID IN THE PAST. I FIND SO MANY PRODUCTS SO DRYING. 🕊🦋
That lipstick is such a gorgeous nude! And OMG here in South Asian countries like Pakistan and India, so many women apply thick black eyeliner all around their eyes like you did on your right eye, making them look like panda eyes. To each their own but I personally think it looks so harsh and ages a person. I do like the look of kohl-rimmed eyes when kohl is applied right on the waterline, not outside it. I almost always use brown eyeliner instead of black for everyday because it looks softer, especially with my ash blonde hair.
So helpful! I have combo/oily skin, with some texture on my cheeks, so I use light powder in an attempt to smooth things out. It works with a light application, but the powder itself matters, too. Sisley and Chantecaille compact powders are great in the hot weather, when I’m more oily. In the colder months, it’s a light loose powder, like Cle de Peau. I was happy to hear about the Gucci Powder and appreciate the tip.
So good to read all these fabulous comments supportive of your work, Cheri. Incredibly heart warming! My favourite part was how to use my brushes to get the most out of them. Technique is a large part of handling them. I had not really appreciated how much hand position, shape of the brush etc could have such an impact. I am firmly in the sane camp regarding aesthetic style. The French style is so elegant, and self affirming.
Love this…informative and entertaining! You look gorgeous with both looks, but the “bad” side definitely makes you look older. Question…how do you decide whether to use a brush or a sponge for foundation & concealer? Thanks, Cherie!
Thank you so much Cheri!! I have been having issues with my foundation for a while and your approach to it really solved my problem ❤️. The way you apply your eyebrow gel was also super helpful. I’m super into a grungy Smokey eye with burgundy or brown eyeliner even on bottom lash line but your technique for applying shadow on the lower lash line makes it look softer and I’m really enjoying it. Thanks for being such an amazing source for learning and reviews❤
Thanks Cheri !! You do make me laugh 🤣 . Awesome love the good side , you can pull the not so good side off . Great tips and very helpful . Less is more for sure 🤗💕🙏🏾
Hi Lovely Cheri… you look so beautiful. I am looking for a sheer foundation to cover up inerfections of an evening to sun tanned skin. Can you please recommend one. Thank you 🙏 Debra from London. I am medium fair but going on holiday soon. ❤❤
Thanks Cheri….I just found your channel, I am 59 always wore make….as I am getting older I have gone with the less is more. I look after my skin and use products to keep it looking good. I have learned a lot just from this one video. On how to apply my blusher better….I really don’t use eyeliner anymore because i don’t want it to look to heavy on my eyes. I am not sure how to apply it so it does not look aged. Also I wonder if you could do a tutorial on how to apply eye shadow for the older lady.? I can’t seem to get it to look right. It looks caked and gets in to crease. I love this tutorial. I do prefer the more subtle side of your make. And the way you have applied it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful wisdom. 😊
Oh my Foundation!!! Goodness! What an interesting tutorial, and poignant. Less is more I agree. however, I am known to enjoy a generous glossing with a pretty light color. 😂
Speaking of getting old, lol. What foundation should I use on mature skin? I have not wore any for years. I hage large pores and wrinkles. I am still watching your video so I may see info about it.
Depends on the finish you want....also application id the most important when it comes to regal skin :) If you go to my Instagram and direct message me I can send you a detailed audio message :)
Cheri, thanks a lot for this veery helpful Video....🎉❤I have to admit, that my blush/bronzer sometimes (often...😢) ends up like on the 'Bad side' in the demo Part....will try to do it better in future!😂Big hugs are coming your way from Hamburg in Germany!💜
❤ I have a question. I would love a blush in an everyday color (I have light/neutral skin-Hispanic) I also have dry mature skin and I prefer powder blush. Do you have any recommendations? I’m pairing down my collection to very select quality items. 😊❤
@@CHERIVOYAGE Thank you 💕💕 I would love a video on your favorite lux items. I really cleared out some things I don’t use and I know in the future I only want to replace my makeup with nicer quality items. I live very minimal and my makeup is the one thing that has taken me a while to pair down.
@@CHERIVOYAGE Thank you for connecting with me...... It happens when I apply it. i try to have a q-tip ready with a little bit of makeup remover. This is a real problem if I have the rest of my eye makeup looking really good by then. It makes mascara marks right behind my lashes too ,that makes them hard to get to. I am older I am 58. I have been using great lash mascara for a long time, Once in a while I try something different. Other kinds are wetter so I end up with bigger messes. I really like Benefits Mascara. I have just worn the very basics in makeup but now I am single again so I want to look really sharp.
And STILL TO THIS DAY we see "pro makeup ppl" doing this crazy concealer bonanza style of way too much product application 😂... (UA-cam is full of 'em!)
So funny the bad side or what I would just call the side with no experience. I have seen so many videos lately of especially the lip thing . My thing is , it’s so obvious that is not your lip … the other way at-least looks like you can see when you did your make up …. Just me
“It hurts my makeup soul.”❤❤❤ Can’t handle it either.

Be your beautiful self. Completely agree. Less is more; and there's an elegance that comes with simplicity I think :)

I enjoyed the humor aspect of this video, but more importantly this demonstrated the correct way to apply make-up. Thanks so much...💄

Can you tell us how to prevent mascara from going everwhere? If a tool is best to use then which tool?
Hello Carolyn, does it get everywhere when you apply or after applied throughout the day?
