Although you did not show it in the video, Simon was her said that he had never heard that version before and he was right as Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelinafying". And if you watch the video to the end, The lady who first stood and clapped at was Angelina's maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani. On her right was Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, then Juliette,her sister and last her uncle, Michael Aster who is also her Manager. My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7 year old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven year old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were Baby teeth. And that was when the normal perception ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. Not sure if you know it but when she was and on a trip to the mid-east with her Persian grandmother she came across a shoe less young girl in the street who commented on how pretty Angelina's shoes were. This 6 year old then gave the girl her shoes and continued on bare foot. She then told her grandmother that she would never wear shoes when performing until all children in the world were able to have shoes. we know that will never happen but AJ is 14 now and still true to her word. You know, Mother Teresa once said, God hath no greater love than for those who come to the aid of a stranger in desperate need'. I believe God has blessed AJ from that day on.

@@keithserafyWalks like an audition, smells like an audition, sounds like an audition. Maybe it's an audition. 😊 But, by that definition, each phase would also be one. Even the finals. I'm regretting starting this. Personally, I look at all rounds in the AGT-C as competitive, as the pool of competitors has already been selected (without an audition). In the simple AGT (not -C) they have auditions to determine the pool of competitors. Could just be a semantics issue that I'm comfortable conceding if you will allow me to slink away with some remaining dignity.

Thank you for discovering and reacting my favourite singer. Although you did not show it in the video, Simon was her said that he had never heard that version before and he was right as Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelinafying". And if you watch the video to the end, The lady who first stood and clapped at was Angelina's maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani. On her right was Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, then Juliette,her sister and last her uncle, Michael Aster who is also her Manager.
My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7 year old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven year old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were Baby teeth. And that was when the normal perception ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. The body of the 7 year old was still there but the voice wasn't. Or was itt? I was surprised then and that surprise is still with me, some six years later.
I have followed her career since I saw that first video on UA-cam and in the six years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz,Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers,like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. You will notice that she never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. And I'll add an even more extraordinary item for you to consider, to show how unique she is. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener.
As I have noted above, I have been following her career a long time and have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What stands stands out for me is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing.
Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. across a shoe less young girl in the street who commented on how pretty Angelina's shoes were. This 6 year
old then gave the girl her shoes and continued on bare foot. She then told her grandmother that she would never
wear shoes when performing until all children in the world were able to have shoes. we know that will never
happen but AJ is 14 now and still true to her word. You know, Mother Teresa once said, God hath no greater love

I'm regretting starting this. Personally, I look at all rounds in the AGT-C as competitive, as the pool of competitors has already been selected (without an audition). In the simple AGT (not -C) they have auditions to determine the pool of competitors. Could just be a semantics issue that I'm comfortable conceding if you will allow me to slink away with some remaining dignity.

She has over a 130 videos on UA-cam over 80 cover's, She has over 90 million veiws on UA-cam and over 1.3 billion on Facebook She has perfomed in front of Prince's Nobel Peace Prize winners and even President Obama and was part of a concert for Quincy Jones 85 birthday and he told her that he hasn't heard a voice that good since Michael Jackson WOW.
She is known around the world and all of this was done before becoming a teenager. Quite accomplishment for a kid I think Oh yea she has 3 album's and 3 originals

Check out her cover of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing if you want to see the power of her voice. She does Adele covers that - to me- sound better than Adele. She does Rihanna’s Stay and to me the raw emotion she conveys makes her version better than the original.

Shawn and Mel I just watched your reaction- it was great. And to think Whitney sang this song as an accomplished professional singer and she was in her late 20’s- Angelina was 12 years old when she did this tribute!!! She’s got an amazing future in front of her. You should take a look at her version of Stay by Rihanna when you get a chance. I know you probably have to spread the wealth so to speak when it comes to doing reactions. But I think you’ll like her version of that song as well.
