Did you ever stop to think from time to time? About the way the worlds been left behind? Every single day. I’m ex army. Fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since been diagnosed with PTSD and this song means so much to me. I often question our governments motives. Which I’ve no doubt contributed towards my condition.
War is a racket. It's clear to me now. I served in Iraq too. We we're lead there to take control of the oil, not the tyrant. If you like reading, I can recommend an excellent book by the then most decorated US Marine of all time, Major General Smedley Darlington Butler. His book 'War is a racket ' explains all. He chose to confess to the people in hope that we could put a stop to this nonsense.
War is all about $$$$ … unfortunately. Our governments don’t care about the lives they send to ‘fight’ AND they definitely do not take care of the wounded souls upon their return. So many Vets are homeless. It sickens me!! Thank you for your service. I’m South African, my brother fought in the Border War (south Africa & Angola) ~ it was ruthless, during the late 70’s & 80’s the ever present threat of the USSR was pushed down our throats. War sucks…no one wins besides the fat cats in government and high ranking officials!! I do hope you guys are living happy lives and coping as best you can. Take care.😊❤

I'm sure you know why if you know their history together It reminds them of the low place mentally they were during its writing and recording process The biggest factor was Jeremy's heroin problem was at its worst and it was difficult for the others as they tried to help but he was in a place where he wouldn't be helped .
@@dorkbrandon4422 He got through his problem so aint that enough to celebrate, also they should of held off writing this album until he got through his struggles, but still the best tunes of all their albums, maybe they took a bit of inspiration from his problems?
Although Zeitgeist is closest to my heart , I come back to this album and get knocked back how great the songs are . I don't know why but levelling the land never gets played here .

Have you ever lost your job because you stood up to a arrogant ego maniac boss? I did two weeks ago. It was and still is a great feeling and I feel blessed and strengthened in my heart for taking that stand. I'd love to take my family traveling, do you have lots of money saved up do it? We don't, and I don't want to be a wage slave for however long before we could afford it. If we ever do it, it will be Travel Junkie style, without savings. Now thats living!!

Best album from the The Levellers easy, I know they had shit going on (band members) but a certain person pulled through and delivered their best ever album.
