Trish McEvoy revolutionised makeup application in the 1970s with the advent of makeup brushes shaped to simplify and enhance makeup application. The invention of her iconic Makeup Planner in the early 1990s established Trish's place as the author of makeup organisation and functionality. Trish believes makeup should be joyful and simple - a way to celebrate ourselves.
I have used Trish McEvoy makeup for years and have one of her makeup planners which I treasure. My mum as you know is also a fan. I was very excited, if not a little nervous to be asked to appear on her Instagram IGTV for a Trish and Tell style interview. So I thought I’d film myself, using her makeup, getting ready for the interview, this evening.

It seems to me that cosmetics are wonderful items that can cast a spell on you. Even those of us who wear make-up on a daily basis, when you go to the mirror in the morning to apply your make-up, try to be aware of and feel the changes in your mind and psychological state before and after applying your make-up.💄💄💋💋💞💞💖💖

Loved Trish for about 18 years. I just ordered her holiday planner 2021 and it arrived today. She has the best edits and such wonderful products. Plus, I can only hope to look as fabulous as she does when I reach her age!

I met Trish a few years ago in Harvey Nicks in Leeds. She looks amazing and is so confident yet humble at the same time.
I went to a Trish McEvoy event at Selfridges winter 2019. She was there and seemed very nice, obviously older but God she looked amazing! The event was lovely, we all had a consultant to guide us and give us tips (and there were tasty canapés too). I ended up buying a set and love everything in it. The brow stylo has the finest point ever. Not so keen on the mascara I got with it but I like oomph and volume.

Have used and loved Trish McEvoy products for years although now thinking I’ve been using things the wrong way around! Thought the Instant Eye Lift was for under eyes to brighten and the essentials Eye Base was an eyeshadow primer for lids? Well, what a testament to her versatile products! I’ll now try them the way you used the Eye Base, Caroline!
Eye Lift is typically used under eyes and Eye Base Essentials are the shadow bases for the lids. (I have done a few event sessions with Trish and had the 2 items explained to me). But I agree those Trish McEvoy products are versatile, so whatever works. It all looks really great.

Initially I was only able to get the moisturizing cream at her husband’s office
Beautiful make up. Interesting your comment about your right eye being more hooded reminded me about a programme on tv years back saying that most drivers in the uk were on average 10 years older due to sun exposure. I noticed my right side and in particular my eye was more creased much earlier than the left eye.
Absolutely love the lipstick color! Can't wait to watch the interview! Always love your recommendations!

Love a good eyeshadow stick when I'm in a rush, so quick and easy. I do that thing of treasuring things too. I'm getting slightly better as I get older. I've given myself a rule of use the expensive stuff first, rather than saving it lol. Good luck with the interview - how exciting. I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine - you're such a lovely person. Hi great video. Just a tip the eye base essentials are meant for the eye lid and the instant eyelids is meant to be used as a concealer under the eye.

The 24 hour are so soft they can break. Mine has but I still use it.

Gorgeous look Caroline! That lipstick color is so flattering on you. 😘 One of your recommendations that I adore is the Kiko eyeshadow stick in #06. It’s just so good, with regard to color, the right amount of sheen, ability to sheer out, and longevity. Bonus is the low price point.

I was getting ready with your video (as I usually do on Saturdays) and looked away for a few minutes to do my mascara as you were adding bright blush to your cheeks (which I kinda thought might be a mistake LOL). When I glanced back at your video, and saw your finished look, I actually exclaimed: "Woah, what a BABE!!!" and repeated it 3x! I would love to see Trish interview you and find out about how you got started and your makeup 'journey.' Would love to hear about that "organizier" too! ;-)
So glad you’re feeling better. I love this look especially the bolder lip. I don’t have Trish’s products, but I have two Laura Mercier Caviar sticks ( Cocoa & Au Naturel) and think I could create a similar eye look. I do need to get a berry lip color.
