New viewer here and new to 4wding. Great vid and one of the tracks on my bucket list. I couldnt believe how much traffic there was! Keep the videso coming.
Thx mate. Yeah Billy Goat gets busy at times we were lucky most everyone was going up, not down, gets more interesting when you have a lot of traffic going the opposite way.
Yeah the way I was feeling was fairly well past caring and I had a good nights sleep, was pretty tired, so all good. Next night was in the swag with some blankets the guys lent me.
@@OffTheBeatenPathAus that’s great mate! I did that once, forgot my pillow and sleeping bag, lucky had my army blanket and a puffer jacket for a pillow in a dry bag! And ever since then I have a laminated checklist so nothing important is ever forgotten 🤣
@@OffTheBeatenPathAus yep got tired of forgetting my pillow, or one time, the overnight nappy for the kid. Now its a list and check it twice. Good also to start packing a day or two early and doing it bit by bit, you on't need to remember what in there already. BTW I also always take a spare sleeping bag, incase one gets wet or something. Loving th channel mate, music free, sponsor free, just the trails
Nice footage mate. I haven't been on Billy Goat's since the early 1980s, so this has helped inspire me to get my young bloke back down there this year. Enjoy the relaxed pace of your stuff. Thanks for making the effort. Cheers PP
Another rippa vid Jason. I've got to head out there before it's graded again. I must say it's a tad unnerving watching the ascent with vehicles so close. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Mick, yeah cosy at times but the guys were all keeping a close watch on that. Definitely worth the drive at the moment. If taken slow and steady can be done quite safely.
Spewing about the GoPro, think I hear a GoPro 12 calling. It’s a crazy swing bridge. Someone said in my comments they have seen motorbikes crossing it, I’d like to see that ! 🤦🏽 Good to see Luca’s footage, a different perspective from your last video. Great effort in the rain that’s for sure. Well done Dan on his first drive of Billy Goats and on his Bday. 👍🏼🤣
Hey Mate, yeah would love to see that, maybe if they went straight they might get there. Was a fun challenge in the rain and yeah Dan did a great job given it was his first time on Billy Goat! Thx for watching mate! After this trip got the Hero 8 going again..... was looking seriously at the DJI Action Cam
Another good bit of content, but you are going to have to get some tyres and suspension before you get any damage to yourself or vehicles. Thanks for another enjoyable video. Dave.
Hey David, yeah this is the second last trip with the highway terrains, replacements have made a big difference. :-) Glad you enjoyed the video we had a great time on this trip. Big challenge doing billy goat in the rain.
Thanks for getting back to me. That’s good to hear about the tyres. Yes it will make a heap of difference. Moving forward. Looking forward to your next content release. Thanks Dave.
Well done to all of you to drive Billy Goat in the rain when the track WAS in that condition. As of now iit should be repaired and will be totally different from now on.
Thanks Mate. Definitely different now. The guys from Endless 4x4 drove it recently and said it was chalk and cheese to what it was. Will take another 3-4 years of traffic to get challenging again.
Just a little one jase- when you’ve got guys on video talking and you’re doing voiceover at same time it’s all lost and can’t really hear either mate……
Yeah recent vids are unusual, usually don't have the camera in the car so you don't usually get both. Try and sync them as best I can but there is sometimes some overlap.

Nice one Jase , must have been spewing about the sleeping bag and having to bunk in the drivers seat!!!!!!
Nice route mate 😊

@@James_James01 good to be organised! Dan's well organised I tend to be short on time all the time so throw things in the car and get going in a rush.

Hi champ, what are you using there for trip planning?
I use Memory Map on PC for my trip planning. Has the purchased HEMA map packs in it as well. This is what I make all the intro videos with.
@@OffTheBeatenPathAus nice one, what are you using on the track?
