OK, I have, with much reluctance, accepted the fact that Pushing Daisies has been cancelled. But if we can't have Pushing Daisies, can we at least have a show called "Kristin Chenoweth and Ellen Greene Sing"? Because I would watch that every week for a thousand years.
I agree and look forward to more singing from Ellen Greene, too. She has a wonderdully deceptive voice as anyone who remembers "Little Shop of Horrors" knows. "Birdhouse" was a big hit in England.
This is one of those shows that NEVER should have been cancelled. Seriously. For instance, I like Smallville for some reason, but in terms of actual quality? It kinda sucks. This show, I liked AND it was high quality stuff. Somehow managed to hit the perfect mix of cheesy and macabre, optimistic and cynical, episodic yet with some clear storylines. Perfect. :) BTW: Kristin Chenoweth is simply adorable. I so love tiny people. :)
What an awesome episode and one of the most wonderful parts of it!! It's wonderful seeing Ellen Greene, Kristin Chenoweth and Swoosie Kurtz. They're all fantastic. An episode with the aunts is always a great episode!!
I thought Firefly would be my saddest ever... but Pushing Daisies bumped it. Possibly because I had a no touching pseudo fully confusing relationship when I discovered it and felt a lil less alone. And it's just so darn good!
I also hope they'll do a song every couple of episodes. It works really well in this show, and Kristin is great. "Birdhouse in your Soul" was a semi-hit for They Might Be Giants in 1990, a truly great song. I was so excited when I realized what they were doing. Fantastic show.
"Maybe you could fill it with all your Charlotte sadness" That doesn't sounds like a very happy bird house, but there it is ;) And yes, Kristin is funny, she was so good in PD!
Actually, Ellen Greene should sing one of the songs from "little shop of horrors" in the next season, maybe "Somewhere that`s green" or "Suddenly Seymour". I honestly think that would be great.

So would I
It's been a decade since you wrote this and I'm still coming to terms that they cancelled this show 😭
One of my favorite songs, with a truly original concept show. Win-win all around.
I love that this is Audrey and Galinda singing together, this is great!

This is one of my favorite scenes from this show! :) I wish they would put it back on the air. :)
This lives rent-free in my head

they sound awsome
Miss this show
Tis they might be giants, legend
Frickin' great song
One person doesn't have a little birdhouse in their soul.
i love how Lily is so serious while they sing the back seat. lol. I didn't know it was a real song, i thought they made it up.
my friend found out they sang a TMBG song I totaly started freaking out, I love pusing daisies and TMBG!

I missed tonights show! hopefully they will do reruns
hell to the yes.
Kristin Chenoweth is probably the only one who get away with singing this song and making it sound credible. The perfect combo of cheesy and sincere.
Eternal Flame? She sounded amazing singing it!
i live kristin sooooooooo much
its season 1 episode 4, just watched it yesterday!

This is a show about a guy who could resurrect dead people with a touch, and kill them again with a second- who ran a bakery and did p.i work.
Season 1. Maybe episode 6? Around there.
then I just won't open my closet, I guess. oh snap.
Isn't that Laura Greene who played the fantastic and never equalled role of Audrey in the Little Shop of Horrors musical???
Oh dear.
Bonjour Miss Ellis 💓
Sent here by Chad from NFG. Eh, sucks that the singing as so short.
Charlotte
So Ellen Greene really talks like that? Haha. Neat. xD
Hehe :)
That woman with the dark hair irritates me immensely, I'm not sure why
I love the show but they need to put more of those lil musical interludes in there! why waste all that talent?
Man. I thought I'd be in favor of TMBG on TV in any form, but this... I this might be a travesty...
Meh TMBG did it better
what the fuck is this movie?
atrocious.
