Love the new Engine/Effect Intros (and the main intro of course). Just a short overview he said.. then goes into full end-to-end detail. Well done sir! 👏
So happy to see you getting love from Polyend with early access! ❤ I can only imagine how many devices they have sold based on your amazing reviews and tutorials. 😎
I like the idea of how many people kept their devices and got a lot of fun and use out of them after my tutorials and reviews :). I want people to have a good time, and I get to geek out on gear. win win.
Would you happen to know how this can connect to an Arturia MiniFuse 4? I can't seem to get it to work via the USB connection. I tried midi cables and other auxiliary cables, but it doesn't seem to work. Not sure if it is a setting on the device (which I set to USB) or something I am missing. Any help is appreciated 😀
I got the PT+ for its stereo capacity and additional MIDI channels, but then was blown away by the synth engines. This new device came as a total surprise and packs even more power! Very tempted to get one, now that I know how good Polyend are at the synth game.
I got plans to make some demo vids of the tracker+ and synth just because of line in routing so you have a single out from the tracker. But 6 voices, 16 polyphony, with 8 sample slots, that sounds to me like a good time :). I got videos doing a deep dive with all 5 engines on the tracker+ if you haven't watched them yet.
i have this gear, its amazing i love it. It is already pretty complete as it is now but im sure they could bring it to new heights with a few firmware updates, i hope they will! this thing has very great potential
Hope two things migrate from here to other polyend products. 1. The new synth engines to play+ and tracker+. 2. Does PERC here make sense? 3. Use the graphic possibilities of the screen to do samples editing in the play+. Interesting to see it sequenced by play+ or tracker+. How do you compare it vs torso S4?
Is it easy to copy presets that you make on this to the tracker Mini? (Compatible ones of course). I would like to know that because the mini is not so much fun to do sound design on.
It seems that everyone is setting the pads to fixed velocity to make them play nice ... But I find that to be counter to the concept of the PE Synth as an expressive instrument. Are they really that bad for live performance?
Cheers buddy, I feel there is a stigma if you don't have issues, you are a shill. I like to take my time learning the machine and hoped my explanation helps others understand its not just a 3 in 1 machine, but an interconnected synth setup with the scenes. Being apart of the synth testing and all the Polyend updates recently coming out, can see any kinks being ironed out in the future.
Couple Q's: Polyphony/voice use per engine. - You mentioned one uses more resources but didn't specify (not granular, one of the others) - how many simultaneous grains can granular generate? Also is the number of chord notes assigned to separate grain pitches limited? - chord pad mode - can you customise the "chord packs" by selecting different notes? (Terrible name BTW lol, given the association with people buying 'midi chord packs' lol) 8 voice max is honestly pretty poor these days.. too bad if you wanted to play a seventh chord with 2 different machines and still use a 3rd machine. It also seems a waste to have to select chords from a scroll list and sequence on screen given there's a great big led pad grid there. An option to use it would be nice. Also a performance effect mode like all the other polyend devices seems kind of a missing opportunity.
I did think about that idea, where you see colour mixes like yellow +blue = green. I do like layering my synths. At the price point, I feel this a compromise and probably stuck with the same micro prosessor for cross compatability with tracker+, Play+ and Mini. Imma chiptune man so I understand it might be a pain point for some musicians.
You’re honestly expecting to get a response with that petulant tone? The channel owner owes you nothing remember so maybe if you’d really like an answer have a go at asking nicely perhaps?
I own a PT and still use it, no need to update. And now I got 12 channels instead of 8. So they addressed the whiches of the users as best they can. The plusses were explained by Polyend. Due to chip shortages, they had to compromise in order to put something out. Then, new processor availability gave them a chance to upgrade. Whether you believe them us not my problem. But I find it logical.

Thank you Sandroid. You and I both know this was a "short overview", especially for those engines.
@@Aisjam fair. looking forwards to the episodes for each new engine? 😉

@ That is definitely true for me! I continue to learn and enjoy the Tracker and Play thanks to you. 🙏

Updooted for the intro alone.
19:53 so a full scene can't be loaded via program change only different presets per engine?

Excellent video, thank you

does it have the option to randomize parameters?

Does the program change recieve only change the preset on the blue channel and not the whole scene?
I like your graphics for the engines. How did you make those?
Cheers. These are Blender specials
Very nice video, thanks! I just got mine last night. So, will a Tracker deck saver also fit the Synth? 🤔
Thankyou and It does. tested with mine.
@@Aisjamgreat thanks. I did order one.

Cool intro
Thank you :)
If they add the PERC Engine to the device, that would be great. ❤🎉😊
Yes but they must change the séquencer for that.
Nice overview- thoughtful as usual. Can you use the aftertouch via a midi on external gear? Is there any drive/compression? Thanks.
F
Can this be recorded in realtime rather step ?
For the Sequencer, its only does steps for now. Maybe it could get a live record in the future.
Seems like a lot of the dislike comes from those that have gear. Guess we can take their dislike worth a grain of salt. Nice overview.

Is it the same size as tracker?!
@@christianseebauer3830 yeah. Tracker and play have the same format

Shame it didn’t come with a 3 track recorder.
Which synth come with it ?
Really hope they bring those new synths to the Tracker+ and Play+
I hope so too. Being a digital person, I like the idea of digital items being able to move around. I just really want PHZ on the Tracker+
the grid is cool, shame you can't layer with it mind ya.
8 notes max is a bit rubbish in 2024 for a digital synth mind ya.

Helloooooo
👋
does anyone ever dislike gear the manufacturer sends them? seriously. i don't mean "pros & cons" bcuz that's a cop-out. post the links in your reply.

@bondi5000, Just ignore. This comment was spam posted to a whole bunch of gear review vids that have been posted recently.
@@brawndothethirstmutilator9848 thanks mate. Getting lulled into cat fights with bots again!! Damn them!! 😎
I heard from reliable source that the Synth+ is already in the works. (This is just Polyends business model)
