Just loved your video I was glad you came back to the ktchen for the finals . Oh there is a gost in your fridege @18.24. I know. I know. We must always live in peace.
Can you please tell us more about the induction stove you are using (how many W and what's the diameter of the element)? I thought the Vevor was non-magnetic and wouldn't work well. But I see you're doing just fine. I just wanna make sure I get a good stove.
@@ToastedSynapseGaming It is a Korean brand Cuckoo stove. It is about 1800 watts. The diameter of the element is about 10 inches (I think). We have used it exclusively with our Vevor stills and have not had any issues. With our larger stills, it will take longer to heat (also if the pot is wider than the contact area), but it does the job.
There are several home brewers that can be used to distill. I like these because they are easy to clean and work with an induction eye, so I don't have to worry about scorching the mash on a heating element.
You could do that. Technically all you need is a heat conductive material to cool the steam back to a liquid. Copper is just kind of traditional and is supposed to help remove some things from the alcohol. Sulfer compounds I think.
Just a quick question i see yout not using a thumper i have seen some people using them and some dont is it best to use one or is it just asgood without one
@@danieldavey3074 We do use our thumper quite a bit. It depends on what we are making. If we are doing a spirit run, we don’t use it. But when we do brandies or flavor runs, we always use it. We have had good results with our brandies using the thump keg but others don’t see as much flavor from it. We also use our thump keg with some mash and for our moonshine or whiskeys.
@@kimchirednecks thank you for getting back to me I have been looking at getting one of them vevor kits but can't find one with the thumper apparently they have been discontinued with the thumper so all the ones I'm finding don't come with them that's why I was wanting to know but I will get one sorted at somepoint I am looking forward to start making my own alcohol
@ We got our Vevor off of Amazon. And recently we upgraded the thump keg to the one Philbilly Moonshine sells. His thumper is made of copper and all his stuff is made to work with Vevor stills.
Since our tube is now longer, it is less likely to get steam blown all the way through. (If you don't have enough coil when you are cooking, it is possible to blow steam all the way through it).Happy shining!
Try sealing it good and fill it with oilve oil. No need for the pump hookup. Theoretically, it should work. Inside your transformer for your house power. It is filled with olive oil to cool down the coil of wire.
I drilled the four holes for zip ties to low and immediately realized they would leak. I redrilled them about an inch higher and filled the original holes with silicone.

Thanks for watching!! LOL. That ghost is my better half! We never even noticed that til you pointed it out! And we definitely live in peace 😂😂😂😂
Putting water in the pipe and closing the ends and freezing it helps you bend it as well
Thank you. That is a great tip!
Wow, that's interesting. I would worry about it rupturing from ice expansion, but a fascinating concept.
I like your style 👍😎
Thank you for watching and for the comment. We love your handle!!

What is you running water temperature. I found the immerseable pumps are safe up to 35c. Cheers
What kind of flux and stuff doi use thats safe
You can use big wine cooking 2000w stainless cooker for a distiller, just the lid must be tight.

Hello, couldnt you make the condenser from flexible stainless pipe, just add a spacer to hold the coils? thanks , best regards

What type/size is the hose? I have a Vevor that didn’t come with the hose.
I think it is 3/8 ID tubing. You can get it probably from Amazon or an aquarium store.
I should’ve been clearer. I’m talking about the flexible tubing/hose that connects the boiler to the condenser
@@wpshaffer It's a 3/8ths ID flex hose which 1/2 inch connector on the end. Ours came with our Vevor kit.

😃😃😃, im not running Vevor, but i am running the same set up.
My worm is already 3/8th tubing, u actually notak8ng a change?

I'm having that problem. I'm just distilling water. I'm having a hard time keeping the coils cold enough to give water.
I also bought the biggest one as well. 😅 First timer. Not looking good.
you doing well / water shot be under zip tide level that's it
@@mosabalwan3700 Thanks. We are working on a new one because we have grown past this one already
What kinda of electric burner r u using ? And what size still is that ?
We are using an induction eye from a Korean brand named Cuckoo. We have both 5 gal and 13 gal Vevor kits that we use.
@ do u use the same induction eye for them both ?I have a 13 gal vevor. But I did make a bigger worm for it and I love it now
Where did you get your copper hose at?
The hose that connects the pot to the thumper and the thumper to the worm?
@@andybenjamin81 You can get them from Philbillly Moonshine (www.philbillymoonshine.com) or you can try and find them on Amazon.
@@andybenjamin81 Philbilly Moonshine has lots of great upgrades for the Vevor kits. You can get them there.
try a frozen coke botlte between coils
I've tried that, it helps temporarily but over the length of a run I end up with a bunch of bottles I have to freeze and refreeze.
Try sealing it good and fill it with oilve oil.

I've come up with a new plan to redesign my condenser, hopefully I will have a video ready for it soon.
Wire???
We did not use wires. But as rednecks, we will admit to using some zip ties. LOL
Please be captain spalding for Halloween.
Probably not going to happen. But thanks for the comment and for watching.
You hooked me with wire😎
Thanks for watching. i went back and looked at it and my redneck self was calling the tubing wire. lol
I mean no disrespect, but your voice reminds me of the Red Green show
Had to look that one up. The name was familiar but it has been awhile since we've seen that. Thanks for the comment!
Are you the hypothetical Victor fairy
Liquor**
Lol. Home distilling is legal here, so we don't have to be hypothetical 😊 South Korea is friendly for home distillation.

Yeah, attention to detail. At least that is a relatively easy fix. We have all been there!
