Love this build! Had the same idea when I was leveling a foh zealer hybrid in single player but never made it happen. Love the theory crafting vids so much and this build is dope.
Came too late to aknowledge this. Anyway, just tried this specific build by resetting my tesladin, I built it with last wish instead of crescent moon in absence of rare rings/amulets for resistance. Fade gives me max res on everything except for lightning because I use light sunder too. Using Mara as an amu and bul katos as life leech source, together with ravenfrost for combat performance. I wanted to try a solo run until baal to give some feedback but here it is if any reader might be interested in building this too:
1) damage wise: this build is just insane, cows just explode on sight, you barely need to hit them, baal dies far quicker than it would with a traditional tesladin build, this is the best aspect of the build by far, also aestetically nice to see all those bolts.
2) defense-resistance wise: the build suffers, at least on me it's 5.8k def VS 12k i had with classic tesladin + fortitude, nothing much to do in here, anyway it tends to be cool anyway as you just bring mayhem on passage, so mobs won't have much time to make serious harm (a sort of parabellum principle, if you will), resistances need to be taken care of, as the principle armor doesn't come with them, this is a problem that can be resolved with high-value rare items or, at least in my case, I solved it with last wish fade (which anyway is aleatory at least in the timing of triggering first time). Still, you won't die on solo baalruns, which is very good.
3) in general, I will not reset the character back right now, as this setting is very funny and fast-paced when it comes to farm and kill thousands of mobs in a very short time hell difficulty.

Only thing I would change on your build is string of ears for Tgods for that chance to cast fist of heaven. A few extra holy bolts running around on the screen. Plus it fits the Godzeela name perfect ;p

@@GGMentor this is probably because blocking doesn't count as being struck for the purposes of the proc.
Its a good build. I did a similar thing, which in all honesty, began with the intention of being a FoH build (still is). Managed to nab a Seraphs which works with the gloves and means less distributed points in Def. aura's. Works well with LoH & RoP. Though I dropped Tearhaunch boots recently, that I might change to. I'm also investing charge because its such an important skill. For that reason I'm using a 2/2 Heaven's Light. I'm enjoying it, and I agree with you, on the String over any other belt.
wow this looks amazing, dreamer was next on my list anyway and I tried to made use of Principle before in another build which unfortunately didn't work out (was planning a 2hand sacrificer, but sacrifice has its own mechanics that don't apply %dmg to demons/undead -.-). But ok, Godzeela it will be! Thanks for sharing Ginger :)

As soon as I get the keys I’m taking my FoH/smiter hybrid on a trip to Uber Tristram with Principle/LoH. Really like this concept and feel like it’s an awesome and easy fit with my build.
Thought my dream/dream build was pretty good, but then i saw this video. he went from strong to stupid. laying of hands was something i might have had on him anyway but just didn't have it handy and went with dracs for the lifetap, maybe i switch back to dracs but clearly that principle holy bolt made him seriously broken.
- did lose a lot from holy shield and the low defense on principle AP but in party where there is a buff, he's very solid

You don't need dual dreams to be a godzealer, that's just icing on the cake
@@GGMentoroh there are so many options, but physical damage for the [Tesla/FoH/Zeal -“adin”] thing I was going for is maxed with Dream gear. I should still clear P1 Hell though. Just stack + skills instead. Toying around with some different ideas too. That’s what makes the base “Zeela” so great, as you’ve said many times, the 22 points it costs for all that magic damage. The rest is all customizable. So fun.
Tesladin has always been my most favorite PvP character back in the day ;)

This looks awesome making a HC character starting with Principle and LOH off of drops eventually and work my way up to better gear hopefully those 2 item can carry this build till then

I know it isn't likely but would it be possible to get a level by level run up? Or instead of that a view of what the actual amount of skill points used in abilities are? I'd super appreciate that!
This character looks crazy strong! I totally respect that. I'd love to know how you made it. I have a level 50 Paladin that I can respec and I"d like to know where to spend my points exactly to get myself on the path to this character here. In order to show this, you probably need to remove all of the +to skill items and display the total levels into each. A level by level breakdown isn't completely necessary, but 'd appreciate the outline at the very least.

Because the build uses principle and laying of hands you can't activate it until you can put them on.
I just leveled as a holy shock paladin until I got access to the gear pieces

yes, very well too. Of course there are restrictions. The Item based skill is stuck at the level it's at. Also you need Hard points in the synergy to get the effect.

loved your build. tried it, it is godlike, i can easily destroy players 5 chaos sanctuary. i changed my weapon to last wish though cause i dont have mana and life leech.
Amazing build, I would very much like to try a physical + holy damage version of this, instead of a (way more expensive) holy shock + conviction

It would work great just build it like you would a normal fanaticism Zealer and add in the godzealer build should work very well

@@GGMentor yea I remember a few years ago people were tossing around a end of ladder variant with I assume a phase blade with 5 ber runes and whatever else you want. That way you can get rid of other equipment to free up for other things. Sounds expensive but good God 100% CB with holy bolt piercing and lightning 🥹👍
Crushing blow is a bit misunderstood. It reduces enemy hp by a certain percentage of max hp. It's mainly used for high hp mobs (bosses, champ packs with high hp such as blood lords).. 100% crushing blow would just be a guaranteed chance to proc this effect, deadly strike is the one that increases damage dealt. ( think like a critical strike). If you stacked deadly strike and critical chance together you could end up with some stupid high damage potential, for sure.
@@Matthew-zs8nm deadly strike doesn't work on smite unfortunately
@@GGMentor ah, wasn't aware. Crushing blow and some bleed effect is all you need for smite anyhow. You can get any target down to a sliver of hp and bleed will finish them off quickly
Had the best zealer last season. Straight PKed all LK and off route farmers lol.
It's sad people are only privy to what they see man there are some fun builds out there and I've caught them all

The build only requires two items really, principle and laying of hands.
They rest is how you want to make the build work.
@@GGMentor can it farm more or less anything in p1 if you have those 2 items and rest is budget and any p8 farm as well ?
Hey ggm your videos are great. I've been playing with version of teh dream paladin and love this so much. Can you help me understand why grief isn't better than crescent moon here? i feel like with conviction and a sunder, that minus res from crescent moon isn't THAT much of an improvement. sure maybe helps with lightning immunes, but the physical damage bonus from grief has got to outweigh that, no? As in, same exact build but replace crescent moon with grief. Now we have great lightning damage from the dreams, great physical damage from the grief, and great magic damage from the principle. What am i missing?
Love the video, although I think I’m doing something incorrectly. I have the PB, LOH, String of ears, and the Principle armor, but I feel my zeal damage is lacking. Only thing I don’t have is dual dreams and I have a focus on fanaticism instead of Conviction. I do ok on P3 Hell in most undead/demon areas but it takes a bit to kill tanky enemies.
My merc is an act 5 frenzy, should I switch to the enchant merc for more varied damage? Sorry for the long comment, this is my first character in D2 so I’m learning as much as I can.
So if you are focusing on Fanaticism instead of conviction you are in a different boat. You are in the Physical damage boat and you need items that will enhance your physical damage. Crescent Moon/Plague are not very good physical damage weapons especially when made in a phase blade.
My Character is based off of elemental damage using Dreams and Conviction and it's a completely different build.
You can't just use Elemental damage items with a physical damage build it doesn't work that way.
If you are going to change the Godzeela build into a physical damage one than you need to use physical damage weapons like Grief, or Breath of the Dying. You are also going to need more attack rating because the loss of the negative targets defense from conviction is gonna hurt a lot to your hit chance.
@@GGMentor thank you so much for the response, that makes a lot of sense. I definitely made a mistake investing more in fanaticism rather than conviction, I severely underestimated conviction.
Ill start working on getting a token of absolution to get another respec to fix the issue, also I was progressing toward getting Grief (need a Lo) or dual dreams ( need one more Jah and two Puls) so whichever I get first will likely decide how I respec.

Nothing seems to beat zeal/fanaticism with grief. But your build seems somewhat neat.
Godzealer could easily be added to a grief smiter

Yes and it's fist of the heavens not holy bolt. Unfortunately the proc chance was just too low

Really cool idea u had there, but i dont understand what charms ( Offensive Aura -/ Combat Skiller for example) would be the best choice to fill my inventory with. I'am also planning to play a Tesladin. greetings
Ok so Holy shock is an Offensive Skill and if you are running holy shock natively then yes offensive skillers are nice.
However in this character's case he was not running it natively, instead he was using dual dreams. The Holy shock aura from dreams is not affected by offensive skillers. So in that case you use Combat skillers to enhance what you can.

Quick question. If your working your way to full gear but can only afford 1dream, what do you suggest? Helm first with pally spirit shield until I get a second Jah ?
To Be Honest they are not very good separate, you really need both to get the full effect. but Paladin shield with 45 all res would be a good start.
What would you use if not dual dream or dragon a mean on a budget side
Think it would have been interesting to see how it goes without dual dreams. Once you have those you could run wurts leg.
Hard to see how the holybolt really stacks up
It's never meant to be run by itself, it is a complimentary build.
However I can tell you from experience the P8 solo goes a lot slower with only dreams

This build requires the principle armor and the holy Fire build requires the dragon armor they can't work together.
Did those charms come from trading in general? I've never found charms like that personally.

Phoenix could also help for the merc instead of Spirit

So…I had an idea to use scepter w 3os to get + 3foh and other stats if possible. I found one w this and converted to Lawbringer. I’ve been testing this out vs crescent moon PB in my God zealer.
I think the scepter stats w lawbringer may be better! Now grantee I’m using a5 barb dual wielding grief/last wish w Andy’s and hand of justice chest.
I think the decrepify for zeal and merc is amazing and then some bonuses to undead and life steal seem to be better than the -35% light resist to enemies.
Am I off base here, thoughts?
So been playing this more and I think I like the 3/2/298 heavens light w 2 x 5/5 light die facets. The extra 10% to light dmg and still keeping some -10 light resist is very nice. Total build up to 10k now vs 7600
One annoyance is the heavens light seems to have very small melee range. Smaller than PB and it’s annoying me lol

I don’t think people understand how OP dual dream is. I have a paladin running dual dream on NL and it’s a joke. I don’t even have to hit anything. I just charge around with conviction and kill everything.

Hi, back in the days, the skill bonus wasnt apply to the skills cast on striking or when struck, so I dont think it is apply, LMK, TY

In general you want to look for tier 2 or Three bases for better damage.
You don't have to ask about each item they say what class they are on them.
The Holy bolt proc is fancy and nice but the star here are dual Dreams. The Dream Zealot is OP
I disagree, I tested the build many times without the holy bolt proc and it was noticeably slower, and more painful to run.
Even a Sanctuary Paladin 😂 (crickets)
Just an idea but what about a principle armor since it has a 100 percent chance to cast holy bolt on attack?

It has to be synergized, as well as fast attacks are needed to take advantage of it.
It is an easy supplement damage to any build. But not a main damage by itself

At 22 skill points and 2 pieces of gear this is never meant to stand alone

why would you vendor a Dual Leech All Resistance ring? O.o I am honestly confused
Dual Leech is already worth keeping, they are kinda hard to come by.
All Res 11 is the cap for Resistance on a ring, again worth keeping.
Together Dual Leech + Capped All Res + AR + Min Damage is Most definitely a keeper.
Would a Faith Merc benefit the build?

75% block chance good all res, nice defense he rarely if ever died and it was usually to something super dumb like extra strong, fanaticism, spectral hit ridiculousness that came up unexpectedly
Just for clarity, you are aware that Holy Bolt is Magic damage right?
No he doesn't know, he's brand new to the game and its concepts as his whole channel can attest.
I call holy bolt holy damage Because it bypasses all magic immunities.
If a monster is magic immune, holy bolt does full damage anyway
