I picked up quite a few tips watching the video. I’m trying out upholstery for the first time. Keep the videos coming 🤝

Whaaaaaat?? 😃 bro, am subscribed to your channel and love your work man!! You have inspired me and given me great tips, my friend! Just not setup properly just yet for paint, but hoping to in the next couple weeks. I, too, am now starting upholstery and enjoying it....did my first KEI truck show recently and got to show my upholstery work.

That’s awesome I’m just learning but I have the same 2 machines. And I feel like they are 2 of the best. I don’t like the new style machines.

Show this channel some Luv and Subscribe! Really nice work! What weight thread were you using on the thread removed? 92 or less?
And what weight did you switch to....maybe you said it and i missed it....thanks!

I switched to 277 I believe??? The then was like normal weight thread and I hated they way it came out. I was being lazy and not wanting to thread the other machine! Ended up eating more time redoing it!

@@HomeboysHotrods whoa, that is thick! That thick thread does look sik....Since Hot Rods are more for show and little use... should be okay...but high wear areas that will fray apart rather quickly. I am not an expert by no means, but every shop I have went to looking for that on my seats they all rule against it....I stay with 138 but my seats get used regularly. Nice job 👏

For your topstitching do you use a lighter weight thread in the bobbin?

Same thread on both top and bottom . My lager needle pulls the thin bottom thread up too far.

Yeah, i am not sure if its a good thing to mix different weight threads between your upper thread and bobbin. However, do pay attention to what type of thread you are using "polyester vs nylon", do not mix up.

What thickness sew foam (pink foam) did you use?
