Hey, i know this would probably add a considerable amount of work but for the next time doing these could u show some ingame footage while talking about the mods? I'd really Appreciate it. That aside I've just gotten Anno 1800 a couple of weeks ago and have found myself absolutely obsessed with your videos, me and my friends would regularly watch them to learn more about some tipps and tricks or just the game in general, you are doing god's work for newcomers like us. Hope you have a great day!
Hey Taka :) You got me playing Anno again after watching that colossus/ new world mod you posted 4 days ago. Thank you for pointing that one out. I look forward to playing it. :)
Thanks Taka, even though I'm already subbed to all these and more, it's nice to see some breakdowns of what they afford that I've nonetheless overlooked. 'New World Tourism' is additionally needed now imo, at least for anyone playing with the new Colossus of the New World mod you've been showcasing.
Great video as always, Taka! I know you said these are save compatible but I just can’t resist restarting when I get new mods to play with. It’s great to see a mod that adds tools! As a 1404 fan, I always thought it was odd that 1800 didn’t have tools!
Thanks for the video! Extremely useful! After watching your recent playthroughs I had exactly the question, this video answers: what mods are you using and what mods, that are in line with the game's original gameplay ideas and visual style you can recommend? And here it is! Thanks again!!! PS I wish, there were mods like this (adding more "advanced" buildings and expanding functionality) for the Enbesa as well.
I am buying Anno 1800 and some DLCs for my son for Christmas, so you'll probably have 1 more fan soon, cuz you're the go-to for learning the intricacies of this game.
Love my cat too! I use all mentioned but my Fav is the Tramp steamer Mod 🙂. I also play with all the other building skin mods plus the old town mod (for the BIG cathedral) etc.
The Hacienda mod? Does it come in after discovery of the New World? That's huge if it does. As technology improves, do you need less farmers and workers? Gentrification?
This is the one I've been waiting for. Love mods that change up the gameplay and add new challenges and things in. Do you know if there are mods that add in missions or full on scenarios? I find unless there's an end goal I often lose focus in these management games
Enbesa Traders mod can cause a critical crash bug with the game. I recently started a new game, and after placing your first Scholar residence, about 1 minute later the game will crash with a critical error. There are numerous posts on Reddit about this. But I've also used this mod before and had no problem. I would recommend if you crash, that you remove the mod. That will allow you to continue. I haven't turned the mod back on yet, but I'm assuming it should then work.
i just looked into anno 1800 again for a long time. I found out that mods are now included! I didnt expect ubisoft to threat games that good. I only used spice up in the past. It seems that the collection is now split up in the ingame modhub, am i right?
Is Anno really "all about trade"? For me the game is all about producing and distributing goods to your people. There are just a few goods that are worth selling and after you set up the watches route all the others don't even matter anymore. Then of course you can substitute shortages in production by buying a few select goods like coffee. That's not what I would call "all about trade". That said more traders in Enbesa is a good idea. Great video as always. I'm playing with a few of the mods you use in your current playthrough and it made the game feel fresh again. Wonderful.
Maybe it's because I am an old school Anno veteran where trade really was a lot more important and a bigger part of the game. I look at a neutral trader who sells goods as an extra 7 tons/min of production that I don't need to produce myself. So, yes, I do feel that trade is a very important part of the game and one that people can overlook.
@@TakaUA-cam That's true. It's good if people are aware of the possibilites trade offers in terms of substituting production and also for early game money making. I just don't think trade is the most important thing in this game, and "all about trade" suggested that to me. But I'm nitpicking. Fugged aboud it.
Aye good compilation, Im missing a few of them in my playthrough so Ill propably add one or two. Taubenangriff is btw pronounced Tow (as in towing) -ben (with a very short e) - un (as in fun) - griff (similar to grip with a very pronounced r) Im sorry to be smartass but as a german, that pronounciation hurt :D That also brings up a little question, with such a big part of the Anno community being german, how do your viewer statistics look. Where are most of your viewers/subscribers from?
Nice list indeed I will check out some of those like the artisan skins. I don't care for tourists or that dlc much. Atm enjoying the combat overhaul mod. Cheers!
OK, I've heard you too many time butcher Taubenangriff (pigeon attack) too many times, so let's try it together: tow-ben-an-griff (last bit like the first part of griffon). You can do it!
I tried some mods for the first time including the river slots and new world cities. Pretty fun but I am starting to feel like they might be a little too strong. At least for how I play and get my gratification out of the game. For example the clay and gold river slots are really strong and the river electricity in the new world made me a bit lazy about fitting power plants and I didn't end up building any oil power plants and went straight to building the dam. And I feel like being able to produce the later building materials in the new world made me a little lazy too. My new world had power before I even had any engineers I think. And the terraced homes make the hacienda quarters twice as obsolete if you're not playing with the overhaul mod which I'm not completely sold on yet. But I guess I should try it out.
Combat Overhaul mod is a gameplay mod i can't play without, it makes the AI actually a military threat so you really have to defend yourself. the vanilla AI is a joke compared to the very agressive AI of Anno 2070 so the Combat Overhaul mod remedies it by making the AI competent. For me the game is much fun to play if your island is at stake and you have to defend it. It is a very great feeling when you protect the cities we have created from enemy invasion.
There are several that add Crown Falls to the Old World, and a few that have multiple Crown Falls, mostly for MP play so everyone can have one, but that is it currently. All the islands are hand crafted, not generated by an algorithm so making a brand new island is complex.
@@addictedfoolgamer1970 number 1 wouldve been Anno 1206 with the Mongol empiure and all the diverse regions it spread to as sessions. Number 2 wouldve been classical Greece with the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
So I meant to put a note at the start of the video... sorry for all the random bumping in the background! My cat has a new toy and was going insane.

I think I skipped back about 10 times to check on how you spell "Taubenangriff" (German). LOL!

The Industrial Cities pack look so damn good, never used mods before but it might be a slippery slope from there...
Does that mean you can’t grow wheat in the new world anymore? That was the main reason I wanted a hacienda, for beer production.
Thanks for this informative video. Does one of these mods interfere with the quests you do e.g. on enbesa or in the arctic?

U'r right, if he looking for trading complex game try victoria 3 but i doubt it he can 😂
Yeah, i feel the same. Sadly, the trading option is done pretty minimally in anno 1800, an aspect that i really missed in there.

Can someone explain me how to manually install mods please. Download and destination folders....

Yeap it's a great mod for those who like combat!
Is there any mods that expand the starting island type options from the normal Archipelago, corners, snowflake etc?
There's a few different map mods available

The giant battles look kind of lame, like just a hack and slash, no strategy , just 1000's of ships smashing into one another
