Oh man this trail network look really good! Will need to come by to check that out at some point!
Don't forget to include Razors Edge to see some Alberta slabs, and probably bag some lines no one else will! Blackrock for a big epic big mountain ride, and moose mountain for some awesome shuttle trails. I'm sure a lot of locals would be stoked to see you shred out here!

@@remymetailler I'd also recommend Crowsnest Pass area which has some pretty sweet riding as well, and it also gives you an excuse to make it a loop towards Fernie ;)

@@remymetailler if you follow a trail called horseshoe and go to horseshoe slabs there's a big rock slab that can be jumped on too, it actually kind of reminds me of squamish other than the trees around it...

I’m jealous. From 2010 to 2014, I spent a week in Canmore every August, did not get to ride near as much as I wanted, and I’m sure it’s expanded. But man, what a great outdoor town. The Nordic center, Banff, Kananaskis.... so many options available. Cheers Ryan and Beth.

I stayed in Canmore last October whilst on my Rockies Road trip. Told myself I'd one day make the move from Ireland to Canmore. It and Revelstoke were my two favourite towns we visited.

Great Video. You are a great ambassador for Canmore, Banff and the local trails. I discovered and really enjoyed the Grip Ripper and Lebens Run last summer. Top Notch and Star Wars are two of my faves in Banff. Looking forward to getting out there this week.

more commonly the killer grouse. i have had more sketchy grouse encounters in the bow valley than with any other wildlife, i kid you not. 😳 do not underestimate the grouse!

Great video Ryan. Star wars was my first mountain experience and we sessioned it the whole day. What a great trail to improve on some basic skills and have fun. Maybe we'll run into each other on them

They’re good, but hold off until the health minister gives the go-ahead. These little towns can’t handle the influx right now. Looking forward to seeing you out here when things are rolling again!

You absolutely have to drive over to valemount bc for a video this year. I live in north bc and drive all the way down for their dh trails. And now you’re pretty close to it too. Nate Hilo’s made a pretty good video on it, as did mark matthews

Hey Ryan, couple of us from Edmonton went down to the Nordic Center last year and loved it. Planning on going for a 2 day trip this year if things open up again. First day Nordic Centre second day local trails. Any loops or routes you suggest for intermediate riders?

Now that you’ve been in Canmore for a year ish what do you recommend? House on the sunnier north side of highway 1 or south side near the town and amenities? What side has the better trails?
You definitely have to visit crowsnest pass if you're living in canmore, I'd reccomend school of rock, it's super fun. I live around lethbridge and make the trip out there a few times a year
Crowsnest has 100% been on my must-ride list for the year. Can’t wait to give it a try!

Those are all non-shuttle trails. Glad to hear your trails are opening up too!

When you were working with Pole, did you ever visit Finland and ride the near by trails close to their factory?

What are the rules and atmosphere in Banff in regards to trail building? Seeing as it is a provincial park. Haven't been back there in years

I rode top-notch two or three years ago. I recalled there being allot of climbing yet little descent. Is that the case or was I just in really bad shape back then lol?
Lol, the descents are slow, but yeah... It doesn't have more climbing than descending, actually the opposite.
What are your current top 3 trails in the area so far? I need to do way more exploring of the Banff trail systems this year. Fantastic video as always
Prospector, Reclaimer, Razor's if you like blacks. Lebensrun, Lower Stoney, Nordic Centre Lap of EKG to Odyssey to Blue Coal Chutes.
