Jim Thorpe was an amazing athlete but had his gold medals wrongly striped of him…they were restored to him after he died and had lived his life in abject poverty…….so terrible a thing to be done to this talented man.

Discrimination, censorship, and bigotry against deaf people and history are common. For example, look at this video - no deaf historical images. Deaf people have endured discrimination, prejudice, exploitation, suppression, denial, and taunts, and it is still practiced today.

The photo of the Salute refuser at the Nazi rally. People show this all the time, twice here, but if you look closely there are quite a few others. This poor chap just stands out. The young man behind him looks as if he is refusing and the man next to him is scolding him. Move to the back of the crowd behind him and notice the man in a white shirt watching his neighbor take a photo with his cell phone( no, really 😂). Plenty more, some ducking down a little.

Wow, these are fascinating and I have never seen them before....I have to point out the photo with Steve and Terri Irwin touched my heart, it's not about the Iguana on top of their heads it's about their 'love' for one another, so apparent in that photograph, Steve is looking at Terri when kissing her and Terri's looking at Steve. Terri made it clear she will never find another partner in life nor does she want to, Steve was her 'one' her 'soulmate'...evident within that photo. So sad, May Steve 'RIP' and all of the other victims within these historical photos 'RIP'. Amen and prayers to all; many of these are heart wrenching...thus why I wanted to mention a 'nice' one.

I think it's more them being proud of them regardless of their sexual orientations. I think, back in the day, you were supposed to be ashamed of them and/or keep it hidden, even if was your own child.
