if I recall, fire resistance potions also give your heat resistance. Meaning, if you have fire resistance active, you shouldn't need to waste your lamp.
Your temperature will still increase, but you won't suffer from any of the negative effects.
So you can just run around at 100 temp without any issues.
Chosen you can enchant your backtank to make it hold up to 3x more air

Cactus and Sugarcane are almost exclusively summer crops. But by creating a closed structure around both with a glass ceiling would allow them to be grown year round, Serene Seasons adds the ability to make a greenhouse that disables the seasonal growth. As long as the green house is above ground and the glass within 16 blocks of the crops. Another note at 4:30 of the video. Having a soul lantern allows you to traverse the nether without overheating on your temp. Netherite will still say you're overheating but you will never die of a heatstroke. Soul sprouts can be grown and harvested later for the soul lantern using a single soul sprout and placing it on soulsand. Its max growth height is 6 and could in theory be automated with mechanical harvesters

@@Sarafimm2 harvesters won't work. You'll have to use something to break the stem and then later pick it up with funnels or something. I haven't attempted to automate it as it's not necessary with how much you can eventually have. My buddy and I are sitting on like a few hundred of them and haven't used it in a year (in game)
The Respirator is more convenient than a backtank FYI.
Lasts longer from what I can see, significantly cheaper, and doesn't bog down your chestplate slot.
Both the Backtank and the Respirator do the same thing (as far as thin air is concerned, water is a different story).
Yeah but the back tank is refillable, whereas the respirator is just durability based
When I got into the nether, I was met by two flame eaters, and promptly died. They also pick you up after setting you on fire adding fall damage to the fire damage.
I would suggest building a small building around your portal and putting some solid doors on there. Wooden doors will get destroyed by the heat (I think).

@Chosen btw, u can also put the ammo for your gun in your backpack and still use it; The soul sprout is easy to farm with a detector and a piston
I don't know if they changed it in more recent versions, but you used to be able to put goblin traders into boats to stop them despawning (although their trades never refresh). That way you can save them up until you have what you need for their expensive trades.
Also if the modpack has the latest version of cold sweat a full set of netherite diving gear should give near complete heat insulation (if backtank has air) and let you go in any generally hot areas.
For soul sprouts it grows like 6 tall with 33% chance to grow fruit (blue bulb) or just sticks. Also would advise putting glass above the lava.
Great content once again. A note about the soul sprouts - you need to let them grow tall. When you harvest them, you get one seed back (no matter the height) AND for every growth 'level', there's a 1/3 chance of making an additional seed. You can see them as little blue 'pods' on the stalk.

dont worry too too much about the quality crops, at worst you can filter them out or use mechanical crafters to break them down to their vanilla form! They also dont take away from normal drops, theyre purely additive (as in when you harvest something its just a chance of getting another of the same item with a quality crop)

Lovin' the mod conflict simulator.
At least you get a funny one with having 3 arms among the pain of the others like not seeing ui elements you're supposed to be able to see.
The reason why the insulation bars doesn't show up on armor is because of a conflict with Legendary Tooltips.
One thing the mod does is gives items a 3D model and it doesn't render with the insulation so you'll need to turn specifically that off in configs.
Ah yes, the nether region does stink.

Hey chosen! Eventually you can get a full beacon which gives insulation. The hearth is a RAM killer in this pack so I wish I organized my base with beacons reaching each point beforehand
Steel is pretty easy to make (just blast furnace, or Create Blast iron ingots or blocks) and works fairly well for tools and armor until you can get more expensive materials (unless you want to go the magic route OFC).

I’m 99% certain that the rose Quartz you got near the end of the video was just decorative, unless the mod pack changed it in some way. It’s from biomes o plenty which is notorious for adding blocks that do nothing

Is apotheosis in the mod pack? I'm pretty sure it increased the growth rate of sugar cane and cactus along with increasing the growth height if it's missing that could be why you think it's slow , especially since so many mod packs have it
If no one has mentioned it, you can put most quality crops in the crafting table to downgrade them, which includes going from silver star to no star (Vanilla)
I didn't see any letting you go back to the vanilla ones unfortunately

You could just harvest the sprouts the vanilla way like sugarcane... with pistons and observers...
I'm fairly certain that breaking any part of the plant breaks the whole plant, unlike sugar cane where it leaves all the blocks below the one you broke
You need to remember the damage cooldown that's built into Minecraft. If you only fire approximately every half second, it'll make every bullet count, An' ya don't wanna waste bullets, do ya?
You should update your gun! That mod has a lot of opportunities to have some fun and make yourself have a better opportunity in a fight against mobs.
If you get the Fireward Ring from the Iron's Spells mod, you'll never lose health or debuff from overheating.
that boss nearby your portal cant be damaged by guns and also you should make the cogloader it is a really good gun and my favorite

When I apply it doesn't show at all, I didn't even realize you could get more than one level per gear piece.
