  • Some remarkable packaging turns the Sealine F34 into a TARDIS, it appears bigger on the inside than the outside!

I don't know about you guys but EVERY TIME i see a boat under $150k (used), I get far more excited than the multi million ones, absolutely love how clever the packaging on these "smaller" boats are!

Even if I was a multi millionaire, I wouldn't want a big boat. The biggest I'd probably want would be about 50ft so friends and family can come away with me but you see these big super yachts with a crew and think 'were is the fun in that'? I love his little boat and because its a flybridge, it has more room.

      Yachtworld
That site is your friend to find a boat, you can even find them in your area by using the region filters.
In Washington State, there is a 54 foot Devefer trawler available, asking $50,000 US. ( listed by Curtis Stokes )
      www.yachtworld.com/boats/1972/defever-offshore-cruiser-3474840/
Same port, a 55 Foot American Marine Alaskan trawler, at near 4 times the price. ( listed by Denison Yachting Seattle )
      www.yachtworld.com/boats/1972/american-marine-alaskan-3640571/
The differences between the 2 are minor, 25 US Gallons difference in fuel tanks, one is a mast for radar etc, the other is an arch.
both wood hulled, both 3 staterooms, both twin engine.
Yachtworld will allow listing by price, ascending order so you can start browsing by lowest cost and work up.

34 foot beard? You wouldn't know it from the tour. Looks like a much larger beard. And on it's 13th year it still looks very serviceable. The beard's design, while modern, has a classic appeal - solo live aboard, a young family or an empty nest couple. This beard is a very viable "yacht". BTW, there is something a bit different about you in this video. Have you changed your tailor, perhaps?
    Thanks for sharing...

I think you should definitely do more sub £130,000 boats. Regardless of condition as I think the fun would be the refurb of them. Also I would be interested in knowing how you would travel to maybe the med and how you would stop to refuel and berth etc along the way. Keep up the good work. Best channel out there for boats and yachts

Clever boat, lots of well thought out features. Not quite 007 with Q needing to explain how and why, but pretty damn close. In the 007 movie Thunderball the bad guys yacht split in 2 but it didn't grow in length, it's a cool feature, thinking outside of the box. Chaps tend to exaggerate lengths anyway.

This boat had it all. Stylish wood and extremely clever use of space. The engine bay for the boat's age was so pristine. The outdoor shower with hot water. Ideal for cleaning that large chopping board as I would surmise the small sink would be pretty useless. Presumably, there is a heating system? Ersbacher or some such. It's nice to see an "Affordable" boat review.

This Sealine has one thing I get a bit nervous when I see it. A gas cooker with a WOODEN cover and placed close to wood cabinets, counters.

Very nice layout. I was looking at another 34-footer before I bought my 38,5-footer but the thing that made my choice was that the smaller boat didn't have any guest cabin. Even if the guest cabin on the F34 is a bit cramped, it's still a separate cabin which is nice if you are more than two persons sleeping on board. I wonder if the front seat on the flybridge can be turned backwards to make it more sociable to sit up there in the harbor. Mine is not rotatable but I'm planning on rebuilding the seat.

You look a bit raffish lately: more like the Captain of SMUGGLER'S BLUES! This boat is a very neat package for coastal cruising. One head, and a simple one at that. Lovely wood and tasteful upholstery. I like the compact catering arrangements. Simple, family meals are in order. Special lunches/dinners at the next port, overlooking the marina!

Hi Nick, great video as always. I’m quite addicted to your channel, you might have seen me commenting other videos too. I’d like to ask you a question, what’s your opinion on all these people on UA-cam who restore old boats with no experience?

I’ve not watched any so no idea I’m afraid.

Agree with comments below regarding the small boats because of how well they design a space for a limited scale. They're all like Mary Poppins' handbag inside.
Still great seeing how the other half live with the bigger ones though. Nice to watch overall, cheers.

I never knew you looked like simon Cowell til the beard appeared. Love the boat nick, some great features as usual with Sealine. Look forward to the next tour.

Excellent quick review as ever, Nick. A clever boat, it would be a real challenge to pack much more into just 34 feet. It’s just big enough for all it offers, without too much squeeze. Should be pretty economical to run, too, aside from the twin outdrives. Mind you, someone I knew who was retiring from boating, and ran an F33, said he really wished he’d bought a Corvette 32 instead. Have you reviewed one of those?

I haven't but I've been aboard them. Very nice, but a totally different kind of boat.

@@AQUAHOLIC Ha Ha! Just watched an MBM review of the F33, by a very young looking Nick Burnham! It looked great out on the water. Damn, I'm missing the boat already...
