I'm so addicted to Brad! Anytime I want to learn something in web dev, I check if Brad has a crashcourse or something on it. No matter how new or strange anything is, I always understand just his tutorials. Thanks so much, Brad. You are the best
Man you are great, i have been following you since 2014. You have lifted me from zero to advanced web designer. Thank you so much. Shout outs from Zimbabwe
I love hearing the keystrokes! It help me to be able to exchange pages to other tabs when you are only explaining something, and at the moment I hear the keyboard I change back to your tab.
Really excellent overview tutorial -- Thank you, Traversy! My Intermediate Web Design class is about to begin a block on a front-end frameworks, in which each of us will be asked to choose a different product and use it to produce a small prototype site. Everybody is fighting over Bootstrap. But I think I'm going to choose Zurb Foundation, based on your tutorial and the quality support documentation. Thanx again.
Your videos are great and very helpful! I used to be a graphic designer / web developer until I got sidetracked by other career options. I have always been interested in the subject and I recently thought of giving it another shot. Your videos have helped me immensely in getting up to speed with what's currently happening in the world of web development. Thank you!
Hello Traversy! class large-8 columns/column don't work for my, but when i using grix-x in place row and then cell in place columns all is fine. Good advise for ur students in any issue, cheers!
Man you are the Bomb on tutorials!!! please keep them coming! I have subscribed to your channel.... Give me More! Give me More! Give me More! I'm Hungry For More knowledge!
Hello can any one tell me about Grids in Foundations.... I have use ....But its not showing any padding: 0 and margin:0 as in bootstrap where we use container... Everything works good inspite of grid... Its not working accurately and effectively..... Need some help will be appreciated....
Hi Traversy, you are a great teacher! Thank you for this. By now you may know this but if you type lorem40 tab it will give you 40 words. lorem8 tab will give you 8 words etc. I've subscribed to your channel. Good stuff!
I know you did an amazing crash course on Bulma and since I'm searching for a new framework to work with because all the frameworks I've used till now aren't that good except Bulma. It'd be really great if you could do an advanced course on bulma like how to install it with npm, change global sass variables to change primary colors and change it's font. Love your vids! :D
I have a little. Its actually something I am planning on. I just need to do a bit more research. There were a couple frameworks I was looking at but that has been recommended a few times
Did you take down this training module? 10 Project Foundation Course (Foundation 5) The link is invalid and nothing came up when searching for it. Two others (Bootstrap & Angular) are there! Thanks! Love your videos. Maybe just a little more of the why and not just the here it is! :-) Still I think you are one of the best instructors to date. Easy going and we get who you are.
Hi Brad, I notice you use Atom as your editor. Have you try sublime? If so, why Atom over Sublime? With sublime, I can install emmet, bootstrap, foundation extension and etc which save you a lot of typing. Emmet provide you with zen coding syntax. Maybe you can do the same with atom but I'm not sure cuz I never try it. Just a thought. Keep up the good work, love your videos.
Sunil Anthony - Sublime text is not free but you can use without paying money (that means there is no trial period). Where as, Atom is free and open source editor by Github.
Brad, how is your opinion concerning foundation and bootstrap, which one is more suitable for you to work with? i prefer foundation for their new syntax and cool mixins a lot, i guess bootstrap is working on the same useful features which will be available on their 4th version...
If I were building a production application, I would say Foundation. For the same reasons you just said. I think it offers more and I think its much more customizable. BUT for just getting something up and running or for doing tutorial based development, I always use Bootstrap. Its better for prototyping, etc.
thanks for the fast response, and one tricky question, concerning mac or pc discussions on the web, which is more suitable for you to work with web development environment, would be nice to get a small video about...someday, i hope, really liked your home tour videos....
I honestly have not done much dev on a mac. No reason really other than I don't have one. I did PC repair for a long time so I have just been a Windows guy. However I do like working on Debian/Ubuntu. I work mostly on Windows but def am not a fanboy or someone that has a list of reasons why it's better. It has a lot of flaws I know that. lol sorry I don't have a better answer
Fortunately, all the good stuff like Nodejs, Foundation 6, gulp, Atom run on all important platforms. I myself develop solely under Linux but I can collaborate with colleagues that use Mac OS X or Windows even on the same projects. Now this is as it should be! :-)
I think that the same point where i initially stuck and cant move on because i found it annoying why to move toward new framework rather it almost do the same thing but now i realize that might not be the reason, The reason is first market priority and second definitely there is a difference where developers find ease and move towards the better technology. So i always move towards new technology once you good in the previous one..
I hate foundation. I tried so much time to implement a top nav bar and every time I do it the submenus show up without clicking or hovering over it. It's always there. I hate it, hate, hate it...
It happened to me too when i use foundation.css version 6.4.2. I downloaded codes from description and use foundation.css file(which is version 6.3.0) then columns are working.
foundation.zurb.com/sites/docs/xy-grid.html go to the 'importing' section and copy the @includes into your app.css. Then you can replace row with grid-x and columns with cell
Amazing! Love this tutorial! What a great intro!! Btw, we made a generic content builder for Foundation and other frameworks (Bulma, Boostrap, Material Design Lite, ..) as well. You can play with the builder here ( innovademo.com/contentbuilder/example1-foundation.html ) It’s a jQuery plugin, so you can use it on your website. Let me know what you think :)

Ctrl+C at any place in the line of code will copy the whole line, no need for highlighting (Atom and VSCode).
Thanks! That's awesome. For those of us on Mac VSCode it's: command + fn + C
Thanks a lot for this bit of information!
holy shit that helped, never knew that tbh ahahah
I have to admit that I enjoy these tutorials more than Game of Thrones.
haha, yah it's Nice
Hey Brad,
When I need to learn something on Web Development. I always look for a course on Brad’s channel. Your my GOTO one stop shop. Tks Carlo
I love hearing the keystrokes! It help me to be able to exchange pages to other tabs when you are only explaining something, and at the moment I hear the keyboard I change back to your tab.
Who on earth would dislike the keystrokes? Sheesh!
It's great to see a good tutorial based on Windows and not mac for a change :)
Really excellent overview tutorial -- Thank you, Traversy!

This is exactly what I was looking for. Something fast, simple and with enough explanation. Thank you
Foundation is fantastic. Thanks for showing how flexible it is and in such a great way!
This crash course seems to be exhaustive! It exhibits how much efforts you have put in in this tutorial. Thanks. 👍😃

Agreed!
Would you ever do an updated version or is this current enough for 2020,thanks in advance and great work
HI I can't download the the code ...?
turn on soft wrap when youre coding to keep everything in view
Hello can any one tell me about Grids in Foundations.... I have use ....But its not showing any padding: 0 and margin:0 as in bootstrap where we use container... Everything works good inspite of grid... Its not working accurately and effectively..... Need some help will be appreciated....
I enjoy listening to your courses. All of them are perfect. You are awesome.
1:02:51 looks like the Pagination bar in JQuery DataTables. Maybe DataTables uses it?
couldn't find the foundation courses on eduonix. are you going to update them? I'd really like to see what you did on the project management ui.
Hi Traversy, you are a great teacher! Thank you for this. By now you may know this but if you type lorem40 tab it will give you 40 words. lorem8 tab will give you 8 words etc. I've subscribed to your channel. Good stuff!
Sadly, Foundation doesn't use rows or columns evermore :/ but i really need some tutorial due the lack of information on the documents.
From version 6.4 Float Grid is disabled, replaced by XY Grid.
why is that, when i copy the drop down menu html to my project it doesn't work as yours?
thank you so much for your time! loved your video and really hope you make more. -Edward from Los Angeles, CA.
You are very welcome, thanks for watching
You should make an updated video on Foundation! A lot of updates since this video!
So I got ATOM and I am confused about this message "Register as Default atom://URI handler?...My question is why would I need to do it and should I?
Excellent cheat sheet. Thanks for a great and concise tutorial.
Do you publicly post your powerpoints online? Your information is great and I would love to go back and read back on them!
Fall in love with Foundation. Thank you 👍
is there anyway you could go over how to make custom controllers
hey traversy, how and what are you using to view your site in the browser for Atom?
atom-live-server by jas-chen. Its awesome
hey thanks a lot! I see that atom-live-server is at the top of the searches. must be really good

what is the class="no.js" is that node?
You can use shift option and down arrow to copy line to the next
Hey Brad have you had experience with materializecss ?It would be great addition to show as another alternative to the bootstrap and foundation.
I have a little. Its actually something I am planning on. I just need to do a bit more research. There were a couple frameworks I was looking at but that has been recommended a few times

You are the best of the best. Thank you for taking to time to go through this 👍🏿

Why not? Emmet for Atom is there for a long time now, otherwise I wouldn’t have switched to Atom … from Sublime.
The link for the 10 project foundation course is 404
Thanks. Great introductory video!
This is an excellent tutorial for beginners. Thank you so much!
I use Bootstrap 4 on iMac and it keeps loading and blinking. That's why I am here. So sad!
And if you want to wrap the text on editor, go to View > Toggle Soft Wrap
Didn't constider "small-up-2 medium-up-3 large-up-4" etc classes :'-(
keystroke sound is music to every single programmers' ears.

And as far as features, this tutorial is just starting to scratch the surface. There is so much more but is too advanced for what I wanted to do here.

Where can I get the download?
Great tutorial! Straight and to the point!

You're pretty good at explaining things! Keep it up man ;)

project based would be bettee though great and clean tutorial
Great course! Cheers from Brazil!
Great crash course. Thank you!
Brad Awesome Traversy!
I wonder why U're not using emmet for typing in these tutorials.
It's annoying sometime to watch you typing closing tag manually.
Thank you for this video, it really helps in getting into it.
is it ok to use Zurb instead Bootstrap? i mean the functionality is the same
I think that the same point where i initially stuck and cant move on because i found it annoying why to move toward new framework rather it almost do the same thing but now i realize that might not be the reason, The reason is first market priority and second definitely there is a difference where developers find ease and move towards the better technology. Perfect way of explaining
Really ,it's awesome and thanks from bottom of heart
Brilliant intro cheers.
Thank you for this really helpfull tutorial...

I hate foundation. I tried so much time to implement a top nav bar and every time I do it the submenus show up without clicking or hovering over it. It's always there. I hate it, hate, hate it...
for some reasons my columns are not working

Thank you, man. Great video!
Very good course, great (Très bon cours, génial)
It sounds like you're walking on coarse sand when you type.
How big is ur monitor??
I use multiple monitors but the one I code on is 27 inches
Traversy Media :the crash courses are really helpful, you do cover almost everything, thank you very much.
he has six monitors
Alien or something u can choose more than one... Hahahhaaaaa....😂😂😂
Good Job!
Really good man
Thanks so much!
You the MAN!
thanks traversy
Thank you !
goodwork
Boy Br ad I just barely have a lkowledge of Bootstrap, setting up columns and some buttons when you suddenly have this Foundation framework!
I know, sometimes it gets overwhelming. Pace yourself. These videos are not going anywhere. Once you learn one thing move on to the next :)
front end development is definitely overwhelming.
Why would anybody click "dislike" on this? I guess there are at least 16 weird people out there, at the time I write this.
thanks again for another great tutorial. laughed when i thought you said vagination lol
dude, please stick with the old keyboard. The noise is realy old school.
learn this shit . not fucking stranger things !
Just saying but it's 2021, now there can be more than 1 gender of a person, you need to be more politicaly correct. XD
