I've heard that it was said about Jewish weddings, 'only the father knows the day and the hour', possibly in answer to people pestering the bridegroom, so 13:32 would be a verse that paints Jesus as the Bridegroom of the Church. I think I favour this interpretation, because it allows the Holy Spirit to know and possibly Jesus as well. InspiringPhilosophy has a video on it and I think he footnotes his sources
Both Matthew and Mark tell us that Daniel is key to the understanding of these events and our admonition in both Gospels is for those that read, to understand. Without the knowledge gained in the study of Daniel one can get lost easily and Daniel is much, much more than just the abomination of desolation. Daniel is given visions of his present time (The head of gold) to the "stone cut out without hands" obliteration all earthy kingdoms to the time of his inheritance (lot) "at the end of days".
Unfortunately, I didn't hear much in this video that I could hang my doctrinal hat upon. "Could be", "maybe", "others think", "some other scholars believe"... there's just not a lot of commitment here other than in Herod's temple being destroyed in 70 AD and the Lord's coming has not yet occurred.

This guy is surprising in his ideas. The Gospels were written AFTER 70AD? That's a secular view made to undermine Jesus as a prophet.
This gospel will be preached to the whole world - the Greek word was "economia" was usually referring to the Roman Empire. This absolutely happen before 70AD.
End of the age? That was the end of the Temple system. It does not have to mean the end of space and time. That happened in 70AD.
Desecration of the temple? The Jewish Zealots desecrated the temple after they kicked out the Romans. This is so obvious, the irony is that "Gods People" created that abomination.
Jesus "coming in the clouds"? God coming in the clouds was a common Old Testament description of a physical judgement on a people. It was used to describe God's judgment in history by a foreign army on Egypt and Babylon. In 70AD, Christ DID come to Jerusalem in Judgement with a foreign army.
The gathering of God's people from around the world? The word 'gather' is related to the word 'synagogue', which means gathering people in small groups - describing the formation of the early church. Which DID happen before 70AD.
"This generation shall not pass until ALL these things are fulfilled." Stop trying to pick and choose, ALL of those things were fulfilled by 70AD.
If you don't have to continually shoe horn this idea that "Jesus was talking about the end of the entire planet, and we are living in that last generation." then you don't have to constantly pick and choose which things actually happen.
The final resurrection and second coming will someday happen, but this passage is NOT referring to that event.
Agreed. I followed 'end times'. Was force fed it from the age of 7. Bishop of The Apostolic Pentecostal Church in 1968 declared the rapture was gonna be in the 60's!! With 2 yrs to exist on planet earth??? At the age of 12 i was horrified 🥺. That man flat out lied!!! I think JESUS would be VERY ANGRY at people who keep trying to determine something that we clearly cannot know.
Its mind boggling and pushes people farther and farther away from what is true and right in 'this life'.🥰😇

You are saying the gospels talk about the end of the It's not full peterism because you believe some old testament passages like Daniel 12, Isaiah 66, the apostles letters, and Revelation 20:11-22 still refer to a final judgement, resurrection and new heavens and new earth correct?
@@danielayotte1647 basically you are right. Jesus spoke of a physical resurrection in John 5;29, Paul talks about a single resurrection of both the just and unjust on Acts, this is the Last Day. But the Olivet discourse in the gospels is NOT talking about the Last Day, it's talking about the end of the Temple system and the judgment of the generation of Jews who rejected him. Which actually happened, proving Jesus to be whom he said he was.

Mark 13:24-25 is pure nonsense, Jesus is not God, if he was wouldn’t he know that stars don’t fall. Stars are like sands of every beach on earth. The moon and sun were not lights in the sky which the writers of Mark, Matthew, Revelation thought. This is big error which means Jesus wasn’t a God and couldn’t die for your sins.
He is using Old Testament language that describes God using foreign armies to destroy a nation…. Which is precisely what happened.
@@N81999 you can make about anything about the Bible, man wrote it, it’s far from perfect, and hardy anything can be proven fact. And allot of digs are proving that things are different.
