Why didn't you mention the SD card reader on the A54?! It's extremely useful. hi does the battery last long in a54? how many hours does it last in a day. ive already decided to buy a54 but ive read in some comments that thr battery doesnt last that long. thanks
@no-one7672 The battery is the BEST part of the a54! You can go look it up on here or Google yourself, the battery is 5000 milliamps even bigger and better than the galaxy s23 at 4500 milliamps, not only does it last a little longer than the s23 but it charges even faster too. I charge mine and wake up to it at 100% every day and on my days off when I use it almost all day watching videos, gaming or whatever, it won't even be below 20% by bedtime. On my workdays usually it's over 50% end of the day. So yes, on the a54 5g you're pretty much literally getting the BEST battery experience over every and any phone in the world right now. Battery is the biggest plus with the galaxy a54 even over these 1000$ phones. It's pretty crazy actually
@no-one7672 my a54 battery can last like 8-9 hours a day but I don't play games I just use social media maybe that's why my battery can last long plus I don't use battery saving mode and using high refresh rate(120 hz)

I was contemplating between A54 and S23 FE, but bc of black friday (plus some negotiating) i managed to get the S23 FE just for $250. I love it so far, and i plan to keep for 4 - 5 years. After owning a midrange, i notice they slow down after 2 or so years and the battery isnt up to par for my needs. At least the FE is one step up!
@@ddddaaddaaaa Yeah.. I checked where I live and the S23 FE is more than double the price of an A54 with all the Christmas discounts going on. For marginal upgrades and wireless charging its just not worth that price considering I don't play video games on my phone. The Exynos 2200 in the not USA phones is also pretty bad considering we have Snapdragon gen 3 coming out next month. If ppl want to buy a flagship or near flagship imo they should wait for the new S24 series.
I own an ancient A31 for now, miles better than the unreliable flagship S7 that preceded it. No, it doesn't slow down, just maintain your phone by clearing the caches often enough.
I have owned Samsung for several years. It began when my mobile carrier stopped carrying HTC here in US. But, in all honesty, i miss the camera of HTC a lot. It had the very lovely quality of making peoples teeth uniform in color and just a bit whiter. And, my memory says the macro lens was much better too. I may look for comparisons in the future of mid to upper range comparisons if I can get HTC shipped direct and unlocked. Otherwise, i buy and recommend all levels of Samsung, from A54-solid phone for price, FE23- luxury feel for mid price, 22ultra+ - top shelf and S pen luxury but tired of poity square edges and curved glass.
@berk6123 the ui m8 I think. Just loved it but my carrier stopped all HTC the next time I went for an upgrade 😔 But I'm curious if there are current versions of it?
@@YousefMohamedAbdulMoniem Very funny...and very stupid. But that's the kind of people who buy expensive smartphones with too little storage space to do demanding work with, but rely on data security in some cloud. So typical.

S23 FE Weaker battery and no sd card slot might be a killer for a lot of people and also price difference. I have seen a few different video and picture test between these phones 4k video is a little better on the S23 FE pictures with a little more robust colors is better on the A54.
Nice comparison EXCEPT - I can't believe you omitted to mention that the A54 still has a microSD storage expansion slot and the S23 FE does not. For people who take or store a lot of video, being able to add 1TB of storage is HUGE! And don't forget, all flash memory is life limited - it is possible to wear it out. If your phone has an SD card, all you have to do is change it for a new one. What is really unbelievable and very disappointing to me is that Samsung decided to omit the SD slot on the flagship phones but retain it on the cheaper phones - so now they're just like Apple! I want both a flagship phone and an SD Card Slot, so I'm staying with my S20 (last S series that has an SD Slot) as long as it lasts. Personally, I've never had any brand of smartphone except Samsung, but since they're forcing me to choose between flagship features and an SD Slot, I'll just go with Apple from now on!
@@Lacter12 Thanks for the advice. I'll certainly check out the Sony on the next time around. I just can't express how disappointed I am with Samsung for omitting the SD Slot in the S series. Ironically, I've always used the best Samsung high performance SD cards in my Samsung smartphones and never once had a problem of any kind. I always send photos and video direct to the SD and quality has always been perfect. I WAS a Samsung customer for life - UNTIL NOW. Note to Samsung - QUIT TRYING TO BE LIKE APPLE - CHARGE MORE IF YOU WANT TO, BUT JUST BRING THE SD CARD BACK!
@@JamesThompson-fb2bc The reason microSD cards are omitted on phones with stronger processors is that they make the phone slower when accessing anything stored on them. MicroSD cards are slower than the SSD they put in your phone and will bottlecap the performance on higher performance phones.
@@thierryp4998 I've always used the best Samsung SD cards and NEVER had a problem with it bottle necking preformance. On a practical basis, for most users, they'll never notice any performance difference when using an SD in lieu of internal storage. Besides, an SD Slot just gives users more options - if someone doesn't want to use it - they don't have to use it - they can just treat the phone like the SD Slot doesn't exist. Personally I want the option. Also, it makes backup much easier and you don't have to compromise your security by sending your data to the cloud for backup. Just backup to the SD and if your phone quits for any reason, just pop out the SD and pop it into another phone or computer and you have your data back! Samsung's motive is to just extract more money from our wallet by selling more internal storage at exorbitant prices and sell us cloud storage. I despise this foolish move by Samsung. ONE PREVIOUSLY LOYAL SAMSUNG CUSTOMER GONE FOR LIFE UNLESS THEY RECONSIDER BRINGING BACK THE SD SLOT ON THE "S" PHONES.
It's both a good phone .I will just give emphasis on s23FE because I like the premium materials used on the phone unlike in it's predecessor the S20,21 FE's made of plastic body but the performance is all good in all FE phones of samsung. only differs in the phones composition itself. This S23FE must be the new basic standard on it's phones body specifications. Good job samsung 👏

Also folk the plastic just doesn't break as easily .. 8m disabled and drop my phones alot . Ive dropped the plastic phones and metal .. the plastic is super hard and it's just very durable .. I'd really rather have it .. money be damned
They are really not that close as he makes it seem. My wife has the a54 and I have the s23fe. My phone moves faster and has more features. Her a54 freezes alot and moves much slower with less features. The cameras are not comparable. The only thing that is better is that fact you can add more memory if you need. Our phones are not the same or even close other than your standard features that all samsung phones have. I hope this helps.
The FE version vs the A54 is talking about two different chips that are not peers, so the FE is going to be much better at raw power -- obviously. Sadly, reviewer after reviewer just craps on Exynos name because they simply repeat what they've seen of original tests done on different chips at introduction from the S22 Ultra, just as one example. They don't do their homework and understand that the Exynos is a Samsung exclusive chip that enters the market with less optimization (partly due to it not being sold in other phones eariler, and Samsung not having the dearth of 3rd party developers to assist in that). Test after test since shows that the Exynos will eventually match and sometimes exceed the numbers put up by Snapdragon (although they sometimes lag a bit in efficiency). With certain models, the Exynos comes out ahead (after 3 months or so) due to it being married with a better graphics chip than its Snapdragon counterpart. Trick is, however, they are rarely optimized well from launch. It takes the Exynos longer to catch up, but it does. When the A54 was released, it was a bit sluggish due to poor optimization of the Exynos chip. Now it's been out for more than 3 months and it's like butter. If you are paying cash for a phone, you save a lot getting an A54 over the S23FE. But if saving money is truly your ideal, look at the A34. It's CPU speed is approaching the A54, but will less graphics power and Wifi AC instead of AX (which may not matter to people at this price point).
OK so how does it perform as a phone? Call quality reception quality. It's a phone right not a camera or laptop? I need a phone not a camera or computer FFS!!!

1000 nits is dim? 600 nits is considered enough for outdoor viewing. You must want your phone to burn your hand and make your battery explode. Besides, 2500 nits is not sustainable currently. It's good for like a minute or two. Iphone 14 reaches 2000 nits and can't stay bright for more than maybe 5 minutes. I'm not sure if iphone 15 improved this or not. If they can reach 2000 sustainable nits for like two hours, then I might consider 1000 nits slightly dim.

If you DO game alot mobile, OR if you have the most of a hobby taking pics/videos and you definitely have the want and require the most of better cameras less or more, you want the s23 FE forsure. Aside those 2 single things, the a54 is beyond perfect in every way in fact since I've had it 6 months now, I'm in love with the camera all the same as the iphone 12 i just had if not more, I can't even lie. I have no idea how anyone is complaining about a54's camera at all its just outstanding. The entire a54 all around is better than my iphone 12 was in all honesty. I'd bet the s23 fe might even be better than the iphone 15
hi does the battery last long in a54? how many hours does it last in a day. ive already decided to buy a54 but ive read in some comments that thr battery doesnt last that long.
Its the battery im waiting on there have been alot of complaints about the a54 5g battery life .. thats more important to me than anything
I'm worried about the s23 fe battery too though Snapdragon 8 gen 1 wasn't the most efficient processor.
@@Greenfrom3 exactly
HEY THERE. I'VE JUST BOUGHT THE A54 AND ITS THE END OF MY SECOND DAY... AMAZING BATERRY LIFE...REALLY AMAZING... I CHANGED LIKE 10 PHONES IN LAST 2 TO 3 YEARS AND THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST BATTERY ENDURANCE EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD..FULL STOP
I've had the A54 for a couple of months now, and the battery is pretty good. Full charge when I left the house @2pm, battery now at 43% 1:00am.
Do cases fit both of them? Like a s23fe case fits an a54?
No
Here in Australia, some reason both phones comes with Exynos Processor. So very hard find difference. By the way I like video though. thank you.
At least the FE is one step up!
wow that's a steel 😮
@@ddddaaddaaaa Yeah.. I checked where I live and the S23 FE is more than double the price of an A54 with all the Christmas discounts going on. For marginal upgrades and wireless charging its just not worth that price considering I don't play video games on my phone. The Exynos 2200 in the not USA phones is also pretty bad considering we have Snapdragon gen 3 coming out next month. If ppl want to buy a flagship or near flagship imo they should wait for the new S24 series.
@sgf1495 USA has 8 gen 1 and the 8 gen 1 in the s23 fe is better than most 8 gen 1 and gen 1+
I own an ancient A31 for now, miles better than the unreliable flagship S7 that preceded it. No, it doesn't slow down, just maintain your phone by clearing the caches often enough.
Plastic also takes drops and punches better than metal. It absorbs better.
😂😂
If you have money get the s23
If you can't afford s23 get a54
Simple!
Of course I agreed 👍
What camera did you use to record this video?
Which HTC are you talking about ?
@berk6123 the ui m8 I think.
Just loved it but my carrier stopped all HTC the next time I went for an upgrade 😔
But I'm curious if there are current versions of it?
Don't forget that S23 FE has Dex.
And don't forget that a54 has esim/dualsim plus memory card extension. None of the s line has that.
@@svend.7324so does the s23 fe. memory card expansion isn't really important nowadays lol
@@YousefMohamedAbdulMoniem Very funny...and very stupid. But that's the kind of people who buy expensive smartphones with too little storage space to do demanding work with, but rely on data security in some cloud. So typical.
@@svend.7324Until some idiot drag a trawler's anchor across the ocean floor in the Med and more than an entire continent gets cut off the www. The cloud is a stupid idea, as Steve Wozniak correctly predicted. Young people don't see ahead. They're still too dumb.
Is this Bulgarian tv.
S23 FE Weaker battery and no sd card slot might be a killer for a lot of people and also price difference. I have seen a few different video and picture test between these phones 4k video is a little better on the S23 FE pictures with a little more robust colors is better on the A54.
You make video large intentionally
Many are thinking anout the 200 dollars or more price difference
Personally, I've never had any brand of smartphone except Samsung, but since they're forcing me to choose between flagship features and an SD Slot, I'll just go with Apple from now on!
get a sony smartphone then, both flagship, sd card and P2 port. For example a Sony Xperia 1 V
Someone needs to talk about the battery
I did in the performance segment
Samsung S23 FE outside USA runs Exynos 2300.
Snapdragon 8,gen1?..
The wireless charging makes a HUGE difference for me. Its a deal breaker with no wireless charging. The S23 FE over the A54 by far.
I have phones with and without wireless charging. I can honestly say that I don't use it that much at all.
S23 FE looking like a S24 (just design) ???
I would like you to compare the Galaxy S23 FE vs the Pixel 8.
I have the s23 fe I'm happy with it I came from a s21+ before my speaker went out on it.. the s23 fe has wireless charging and reverse wireless charging and a couple other features that's on the s23 fe that's not on the A54 that he didn't mention
Just goes 2 show u the people u think luv u the way u luv them, don't...💯
No point having 8k record if u don't have a micro sd on s23 fe
I just started the video and I'm already confused. THEY ARE THE SAME
They are accept of processors that the gap is wide the s23fe is so much better
OK so how does it perform as a phone? Call quality reception quality. It's a phone right not a camera or laptop? I need a phone not a camera or computer FFS!!!
I think the best phone for u is an old school flip phone.
This video is made for those who bought A54 and wanted to feel good about their purchase.
Are the cases interchangeable? Any reason to think they are different?
NVM holes and keys don't line up.
In Uk get the s23 over either of these. But you if you can get the 54 for £200 then it's worth it.
Mine it's saying it's 256 but when it reaches 15.52, says storage it's full
I have the samsung galaxy a31, I'm thinking of buying the a54, is it worth it in your opinion?
Me watching on my s23fe great upgrade from my s10
Appreciate the video. Wish someone would do a bettery test on the fe. Only a 4500mh battery and on the snapdragon 8 gen 1 processor which had bad battery life... Im worried.
They made it better for the fe
@@rolebub2955 yeah I heard they added some extra cooling fan or something. Regardless I went with the s23 and have no regrets so far
Try a battery test, or a dictionary.
Price is a big factor for some of us
Like me. Lol
Indeed, that's why I went with the A54. It's a beautiful phone too. It sucks that you have to cover it up with a case 😒
I ordered from the Samsung site the S23FE for $379. The choice was clear. Plus the processor in the a54 is very poor.
I moved from the a52 to the s23 fe and its night and day what a diffrents
No SD card is a problem for me.
I just got the galaxys23 plus, i really like it, wanted to switch to apple but this phone was in stock, im happy with it, , and I like it so far, except the volume doesn't go loud, guess Ill have to get ear or headphones, ❤
S23 Fe im using..very good
How can I got the a 54 now
Watching this with my A54 with samsung evo 512gb micro sd
I was the 1300th like on this video 😅
do the s23 fe vs pixel 7a please
In my market the s23 FE is a lot more expensive than the s23 and uses the exynos SoC. Doesn't make any sense.
Got the 23 fe a couple days ago i had the a54 and its night and day the fe is so much better
The galaxi A54 can't be charged wirelessly
Got my a54 but was not enjoying it. The camera is blurry, video, and movies also.
Everywhere I looked the S23 FE was almost double the price of the A54, so no thanks lol
Imma buy the S23 this month...S24 is way too expensive.
S23 FE in EU Exynos crappy proc
You reviwers don't live like the rest of us.
Preserve your cash with 54. Were I to uber spend I go with higher spec base s23 and above or flip.
Superior glass on 54? Way susseptible to scratch, dust than my a53.
The s23 fu is basically an overpriced a54s knowing the a54 was already overpriced
Camera
@kg6071 the cameras aren't that great to be considered flagship
Dont buy s23 fe (even Snapdragon). It is overheating hitting 70 degrees Celsius playing COD. Also overheating when playing YT.
A54 vs a54s
A54s doesn't exist.
hi
A54 5g Samsung is super
Just remove the plastic
YES but You can buy two A54 and one S23 fe the price is very much. IF i Think I but S23 but not but s23 fe
s23 cost alot more
I just trade my iphone 11 from this phone
Why? I supposed 11 still fine
1000 nits is pretty dim
1000 Nits is not dim
Really? Haven't most of us used much dimmer phones for the past 15 years?
1000 nits is dim? 600 nits is considered enough for outdoor viewing. You must want your phone to burn your hand and make your battery explode. Besides, 2500 nits is not sustainable currently. It's good for like a minute or two. Iphone 14 reaches 2000 nits and can't stay bright for more than maybe 5 minutes. I'm not sure if iphone 15 improved this or not. If they can reach 2000 sustainable nits for like two hours, then I might consider 1000 nits slightly dim.
@@sphong0610Yes. 600 nits is considered usable in sunlight.
The Snapdragon Gen 1 S23FE is also available in Canada.
will use S23FE vs S22 Plus? because too use 8gen1 cpu and camera too 5000mp two phone which will gd ? ,thx 🤣🫡🤡🥲
