Thank you for your comment Marino! We're so happy we are able to share our videos with others, especially Croatians! We love this country :) I hope you stay safe during these difficult times. Yes, we are really looking forward to visiting Istria during the warm summer months ♥️😊
@@VeroandJustin No, I suppose Marino is not Croatian. Marino is part of the Italian-Venetian population that was living there in Istria for 2000 years. Until 1945 the population in Pola was 98% Italian Speaking, but as soon as Croatian General Tito Josip Broz took power with comunist partiasans in Yugoslavia, He immediatly started pogrom against the 350.000 Italians living there and forcing this people to diaspora, like Marino. Just try to search "Istrian Exodus" read the statistics and the data of the Census from 1800s by Austria, look for videos about this fact. Did you wonder why Pola look so Italian in Its architecture?
@@davidetoffoletto9981 Nothing of that isn't true. Croatians is in Istria and Dalmatia from 7th century. South Slavs comes from Carpathians on Balkan in 7th century. Romans, Venetians and Italians do aggressors on Croatian soil many times and do Italianization of the Croatian population, mostly in Istria and Dalmatia. So many people have similar names like italians. For example: person Marin Crnković(Crn = black) forced from Italians to change name in Marino Del Negro(del negro =black). After Italian occupiers left Croatia some people left their italian version of names and others turn back to croatian original names... Also many fascist collaborators fled after the WW2 from Istria and Dalmatia to Italy. Josip Broz Tito was hero and leader of the largest anti-fascist movement in Europe.
I see you avoided highways and that is the best decision because the best experience is when you drive on old roads. It is good and necessary to have modern roads when you are tourist destination, but i am kinda sad for many small restaurants or stands which failed cause most tourists use highways, and for that tourists for missed experiences
Hi Domajoj! That is a really sad but valid point 😕we've never considered the impact of highways on small businesses. We remember that drive along the coast vividly, such a beautiful and fun to drive road.
Too bad you didn't stayed in Labin. It's the most preserved medieval town in Croatia. And beaches in Rabac, which is at the coast, 4km from Labin, are the most beautiful in Istria.
Nice coliseum! Glad you were able to visit that region and that you have chosen to avoid highway all the time.
Haha yes, Justin will always choose the funner route 😜 it's impressive that it's still around after so many years!

I knew a dude who survived fallin off of Arena. He died 30 years later, RIP Marino
Wow that must have been quite a fall, it is very tall!
70 kuna is less than 10 euros
What monument can you visit for 10 euros in paris...london...venice...madrid...rome...?
Common now..
Haha fair point. When you intend to travel for one year with no job, you need to make these budget decisions!
No,please coleseum is in rome not pula.in pula is Amfiteatar
Ahhh we know.. we only realized after filming the video! ♥️
