I have noticed these patches seem to have more depth than the current vr-09 & 730 so I'm really happy as I've just bought one at an awesome price in fantastic condition.happy days..thanks for a good demo of many presets !!
I own this keyboard and luuuuv it. The keys are a dream to play for organ or piano and the all the tones are very rich. The primary piano patch is quite good as well as the Rhodes sounds. Organ sounds great and is very tweet able. there are tons of extra sounds that are very usable.
Thank you for the great demo of the sounds in this very nice clone wheel. Most organ presets had a bit too much key click for my tastes, but that is adjustable. The pianos are better than some reviews I've read; and there's a bunch to chose from. Nice.
Faz muito tempo que eu procuro teclados com timbres no naipe desse som de coral aos 15:40 . O VR-700 já me convencia em muitos aspectos, e depois de ouvir esse timbre em especial ele já tem minha preferência garantida :D
I wish I knew what kind of amp system he's playing thru.Maybe any good sterio amp system will do.The zoom recorder sure captures the sound well. That's an important component of this recording.
I found one on eBay a year or so ago; haven't been able to use it live much, but it's definitely a lot of fun when I get it out and jam. The keys feel great.
Seems like Roland had a lot of really dope boards in the mid-late oughts (V-Synth, VR-700, VP-550/770) that they discontinued for a bunch of cheap quality plastic garbage... wish they'd improve on these boards instead on downgrading :(
But that is honestly and sadly true for most manufacturers, not only roland. There are more and more dollars in circulation without cover(like in gold or whatever) which reduce wages and on other hand raises labor costs. Consequently better materials are more and more expensive to acquire and produce. So they look for cheaper alternatives which are less costly and most of the time of lesser quality. So this is sadly a reality. If you want something decent today, you need to pay a lot of extra.
I have one - keybed is superb. Built like a tank. Organ is top notch, and physical feel of the drawbars totally authentic. Also because it supports 3 organ parts, I have PK5A pedals and any simple midi keyboard to give me a full dual manual church organ capability. Because the organ is separate sound engine, you can combine it with two “ensemble” voices eg a string and a brass to get amazingly dense and rich sound. Use it to control an external sound source (like a BK7m which gives 4 simultaneous voices) and you can generate a massive sound with 7 voices including the organ and organ pedals. Truly a thing of beauty. Much under-rated and it seems under-promoted by Roland when it was available to buy new. Don’t ever see selling it - those 76 keys are hard to match as a controller for any more modern sound source I might purchase. Only things I really miss are after-touch and half-damper pedalling for piano playing ;-)
Thanks for the pure demo. I liked the fact you just played the sounds without any talking.

That sounds awesome. Need it in my rig immediately!

Love this organ. I wish you could still buy it outside of eBay; the newer VR-09 just does not hold up.

Does it have a pipe organ or cathedral organ patch?
Roland VR-700 has 256 GM2 sounds so the answer is probably: yes.

Do the drawbars send MIDI cc? Thinking about getting one to use as a controller for the VB3II
@@joshuaswannmusic6462 According to "Roland VR-700 MIDI Implementation", it can only receive drawbars via MIDI, not send them.
this guy plays with no dinamics it sounds like he's playing a bunch of chords when playing organ.
