This is so true! I’ve had lots readings. Many of them were fantastic, a few mediocre, and only one that I was disappointed with. The disappointing reader was exactly the type you described. She had all the jewelry, the long flowing garments, the over the top ornately decorated space. Totally fine if that’s actually who you are…but the moment I met her, I felt like she was playing a character. Then, she spent the first 1/3 of the reading telling me about how she was the descendent of this-that-or-the-other shaman from wherever. It felt like she was trying to convince me of her abilities. The reading was pretty vague and inaccurate, and she didn’t allow clients to take notes or voice record anything. Not gonna lie, the best readings I’ve had have been from down to earth ladies who look like members of my Mom’s bridge club.
I briefly read for one of those psychic sites (won't name it here) and some of the bios of the readers... LOL Talk about charlatans. One woman's photo was of her all dressed up in flowing gold lamé robes, with an elaborate Egyptian temple-looking backdrop. All kinds of people out there. That's why I so appreciate you keeping it real.
Really enjoyed this one. Thanks for your unique way of keeping this profession real, grounded and heart centered. I so appreciate your topics and stories from decades of sticking around as a Reader. You inspire me, Vince! 💜
As a budding green witch, I do spells for myself, but this isn't to be mixed with tarot reading for others. Deep mystical studies are fun (things related to the tarot but not about reading the cards) but if one wants to be a good tarot reader, I agree with the recomnendation here to be all-out sincere and to do one's best in reading. Yes avoid theatrics and pretending to be something you're not. Really, really great advice to those who want to read for others!
Thank you for all your info. I found you I haven’t read tarot in 20 years and your translation are what I can relate too more than all these new card readers
I know you love the history of the cards. I really like how discovering how images might have developed for helping me think about what they might mean. Like when you talked about the fool, it showed me it was a sort of rite of passage, to see a bit of the world, get experience, have adventures and tell your family about them. For me, these are gold and help me to imagine what such card doing in a spread. Much better than opinions- I think a Clint Eastwood character said something about them! I know you’re on our side and find the things you share useful. Thank you.
Gosh what a loss you were to all us beginners and more advanced tarot lovers. RIP Vincent xx

It is because people mix things, one is a tarot reader and another thing is for example a shamanic healer.
Really like what you're sharing here, thanks Vincent

There's always something magical in your interactions with us. Wow, thanks!
Energy reader an interpretation of the tarot is the stance I take on it personally speaking...

The notification for this video just stopped me from listening to my fav music, but hey - a vid like this is way better. And helpful.
Forget the gym or diets. Just read the golden dawn. Lol❤❤
