Hi guys, was just wondering how long it took you to hike up? I'm doing Schiehallion on Thursday night/Friday morning and want to time it right so I reach the summit before sunrise :)
Lauren Gavin sorry I never seen your comment until now. I hope the walk went well. I was up in around 1hr 45 and down in 1 hr 30. Not sure how this compares with others but I didn’t really hang about and just kept a steady pace on the up. I ran a little on way down. 👍🏼
Sydney Devine, its OK :) I went for a nighttime hike with my mate, plan was to hit the summit just in time for the sunrise but unfortunately the weather beat us. Definitely going to attempt it again in the better weather :)
Did you do this hike in mid-summer? I was in Perthshire at the end of April 2019 and all the hill tops were covered in snow. Schiehallion and Ben Lawers were too difficult. I managed to do Ben y Vrackie.
John Trollinger Hi John - no believe it or not it was the Easter bank holiday. Monday 22,04.19. I lucked out as it was a stunning day. There was only small pockets of snow when I was up. The next week the weather was very poor in Perthshire as I had been planning to go up ‘Lawers’ but it was too wet and windy. I’ve not been up Ben y Vrackie. Do you recommend?
Did this one yesterday! My first Munro.
No walk in the park! Great climb though!
Lovely video thanks, what's the name of the music?
HI - we're visiting Scotland and really want to walk this. Where is the start of this hike?
