Fall and winter ❄️ summer heat drains me and I have no motivation to do anything in the summer. I don’t care for the beaches or laying in the sun but I’ll bundle up and play in the snow and in the fall I love sweater weather and sitting by an open fire. Amelie is one of our favourites too.

Well, I so agree with you. I absolutely hate hate. Hate the summer. I love the winner in the summer. People make so much noise outside and they’re playing horrible loud music that I hate and don’t understand all I hear these drums beating in my head. All summer can never relax outside of the house that I’ve invested half my life into kind of a nightmare when people just don’t care about their neighbors. Look at your videos. I wish I could pick my house up and move it out into the middle of the woods I’m an animal lover, then a vegetarian For over 55 years. I’m 80 still very viable still in classes. Yes I’ve never left college even though I’ve worked my entire life two jobs and I’m with the animal rescue so those are my children. They don’t talk back too much and they always agree with me and it’s unconditional love but I love your aesthetic. I love your house. I love your videos and you’re an absolutely gorgeous gorgeous person😊❤
I have to agree with you! The rudeness of Neighbors in the world that we live in now is sometimes just too much to bear! You are right we work our whole life to build our little sanctuary to have the neighbors next-door and all around you ruin it for you! Another thing in common that we share is I am retired and still love to take classes and learn every day. Merry Christmas to you.

🧤🧣 The powder snowscape looks so idyllic....the trees, the deer 🦌. Saying hello from across the oceans. Gorgeous sunny day here today. Made my Christmas Pudding. Sunday is going to be up in the high 30s, with 40 degrees Celsius and winds predicted for next Monday... so fire alerts. It’s so dry here, so a real worry. Favourite Christmas movies .... Love Actually and The Holiday. Random fact ... we do get snow here too... in the winter...in the Mountains....which are about 3 to 4 hours away from Melbourne. Stay snug.

Born and raised in Hawaii but for the last 8 years of my adult life we’ve lived in Colorado, Washington, upstate New York (pretty close to you, actually!), and now South Carolina. I LOVED the rainy PNW weather, and the snow globe of New York was incredibly beautiful and fun, but, I feel the most alive, healthy, and comfortable in warm weather. The heat feels so good lol. I also have raynauds syndrome which is very painful in the cold so that is a bit of a problem lol. I have the worst time picking a favorite of anything, but Mary Poppins might be my favorite movie.
Oh wow! I literally cannot comprehend feeling good in the heat 😂, but I have heard that condition is quite painful. Ohhh! I love Mary Poppins! My son recently put it on when he was sick and it’s such a good one.

But my comfort movies, ones that I feel all things cozy, are Sense and Sensibility (Kate Winslet, Emma Thampson one), You've Got Mail, and Little Women (the one with Winona). Loved that you were watching Prancer the other day! I remember going to a friend's birthday party where we went to the movies to watch Prancer - it has been a favorite of mine ever since. @the.ellemars I go to Glecoffs. There is no real reason. However, i should look at Jan's, I'm a very, very basic crochet and knit person, so I just buy regular wool, nothing fancy. lol I look at her beautiful knits in the window and think , that's not happening hahahaha
I am new here. You came up on my feed. Yes, yes, reverse seasonal disorder exists! I love autumn and winter. I enjoy spring if it is not too warm and love our tulip fields! But I hate summer which I know is a strong statement. I find it depressing to have to stay in a closed up house to cool off. Here in The Netherlands we don't have air conditioning everywhere. I concentrate on now as I am here in my woodland cottage enjoying the warmth of the wood stove. Love your crochet scarf. I am currently working on sleeves for a crochet sweater. 🧶❄️🎄
Oh my goodness, your home sounds like a dream! I find that I feels sad out in the heat but annoyed that I have to be inside to be comfortable. You can always bundle up for the cold, but you can’t escape heat unless you live on the water.

I am the same. I have always been the worse in the summer. Even back when I was in my 20s. I never really liked the heat and hate humidity. My favorite movie wow, I do not think I can just say one. But I loved The Book Thief and the novel was just as good. Highly recommend.

It’s a replication of an old style radio, but it has a record player, cassette player, Bluetooth, cd player and radio. It’s awesome…my step dad got it for me when we were out thrifting one day!
It's absolutely wonderful! I used to have a Wooden arched retro radio that played cassette and FM radio. It quit working but i loved the looks of it anyway. It was also lost in my move. I think i just found my b-day present 😊 Everything in my home is vintage or antique, gifted, thrifted or second hand. Thank you for sharing.

Last year I read a book called The Snowsister for the kids, and it was so so beautiful, and it has been made in to a movie on Netflix, so going to watch that today……I am not a fan of summer, love autumn the most…… 🍂🧶 my knitting right now is an islandic sweater for my husband……and socks for the kids.
I love those two as well, but I haven’t heard of that book/movie. I will have to check it out. Wow. Icelandic sweaters are gorgeous. I would love to be able to make a garment like that or even a pair of socks! I keep trying to to knit, but I can’t seem to grasp it.

I feel like I found a lot of new people through that video where I talked about mental health and tried to knit again! Yeah the scarf is a single crochet and then chain 3 and back to single so it creates the cute little bumps or berries (I think it’s called the berry stitch). Every once in a while you hit a good hallmark! We liked one where a girl time travels from the 40’s or to the 40’s. And another one was filmed in Santa’s village where we used to take the kids when they were little and where we grocery shop so that was fun!
Well i saw crocheting but the ANXIETY 🫨 was why I clicked!! Oh the Biltmore? I’ve been repeat watching that one. Bethany Joy Lenz is my friends step daughter. Her movies are generally decent ones. lol.

Sunday is going to be up in the high 30s, with 40 degrees Celsius and winds predicted for next Monday... so fire alerts. It’s so dry here, so a real worry.

Random fact ... we do get snow here too... in the winter...in the Mountains....which are about 3 to 4 hours away from Melbourne.

Born and raised in Hawaii but for the last 8 years of my adult life we’ve lived in Colorado, Washington, upstate New York (pretty close to you, actually!), and now South Carolina. I LOVED the rainy PNW weather, and the snow globe of New York was incredibly beautiful and fun, but, I feel the most alive, healthy, and comfortable in warm weather. The heat feels so good lol. I also have raynauds syndrome which is very painful in the cold so that is a bit of a problem lol. I have the worst time picking a favorite of anything, but Mary Poppins might be my favorite movie.
Oh wow! I literally cannot comprehend feeling good in the heat 😂, but I have heard that condition is quite painful.
Ohhh! I love Mary Poppins! My son recently put it on when he was sick and it’s such a good one.

Picking a favourite movie is so hard!! But my comfort movies, ones that I feel all things cozy, are Sense and Sensibility (Kate Winslet, Emma Thampson one), You've Got Mail, and Little Women (the one with Winona).
Loved that you were watching Prancer the other day! I remember going to a friend's birthday party where we went to the movies to watch Prancer - it has been a favorite of mine ever since.

This is true! Being California girl your crunchy snow is such a treat. It’s winter wonderland. When we drive to visit my folks for Christmas it’s weird that I see the ocean and palm trees, I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have a white Christmas. Our little RJ will know this year❤

Awe. My heart still aches for you with her leaving. I’m not sure I could do a green and hot Christmas to be honest…it doesn’t even feel right when we don’t have snow here…it’s not often, but it does happen and I hate it, but it usually snows the day after anyway.

Wow, you have a lot of snow! Probably normal though for Canada. I am in Illinois and no snow here yet. Snow days are the best!!! I always love the quiet of the snow days and nights. It is just a different sound that people who never experienced it would never understand until they do. I love winter!

@the.ellemars I go to Glecoffs. There is no real reason. However, i should look at Jan's, I'm a very, very basic crochet and knit person, so I just buy regular wool, nothing fancy. lol I look at her beautiful knits in the window and think , that's not happening hahahaha

I am new here. You came up on my feed. Yes, yes, reverse seasonal disorder exists! I love autumn and winter. I enjoy spring if it is not too warm and love our tulip fields! But I hate summer which I know is a strong statement. I find it depressing to have to stay in a closed up house to cool off. Here in The Netherlands we don't have air conditioning everywhere. I concentrate on now as I am here in my woodland cottage enjoying the warmth of the wood stove. Love your crochet scarf. I am currently working on sleeves for a crochet sweater. 🧶❄️🎄
Oh my goodness, your home sounds like a dream! I find that I feels sad out in the heat but annoyed that I have to be inside to be comfortable. You can always bundle up for the cold, but you can’t escape heat unless you live on the water.
I have a few Favorite movies, Big (Tom Hanks ), Sandlot, Practical magic, The Holiday, The Family Stone, Sleepless in Seatle & You've got Mail! lol I love all Harry Potter movies too. 🧣

I am the same. I have always been the worse in the summer. Even back when I was in my 20s. I never really liked the heat and hate humidity. My favorite movie wow, I do not think I can just say one. But I loved The Book Thief and the novel was just as good. Highly recommend.

That record player/stereo (I'm not sure what you call it), is very interesting! Is it vintage? Can you tell more about it please?
It’s a replication of an old style radio, but it has a record player, cassette player, Bluetooth, cd player and radio. It’s awesome…my step dad got it for me when we were out thrifting one day!

I used to have a Wooden arched retro radio that played cassette and FM radio. It quit working but i loved the looks of it anyway. It was also lost in my move. I think i just found my b-day present 😊

Last year I read a book called The Snowsister for the kids, and it was so so beautiful, and it has been made in to a movie on Netflix, so going to watch that today……I am not a fan of summer, love autumn the most…… 🍂🧶 my knitting right now is an islandic sweater for my husband……and socks for the kids.

It takes place on Nantucket and that is where one branch of my family came froom, so makes it fun. Happy days.

I feel like I found a lot of new people through that video where I talked about mental health and tried to knit again! Yeah the scarf is a single crochet and then chain 3 and back to single so it creates the cute little bumps or berries (I think it’s called the berry stitch).
Every once in a while you hit a good hallmark! We liked one where a girl time travels from the 40’s or to the 40’s. And another one was filmed in Santa’s village where we used to take the kids when they were little and where we grocery shop so that was fun!
Well i saw crocheting but the ANXIETY 🫨 was why I clicked!! Oh the Biltmore? I’ve been repeat watching that one. Bethany Joy Lenz is my friends step daughter. Her movies are generally decent ones. lol.
