    This is exactly why I advise people to avoid debt in this business, there's a lot of UA-cam videos about making money, but people don't realize the risk/reward of debt, it can go bad quickly.
    Glad Mike was able to get them moving in the right direction, great work by all.

    • @FrankKriticos
      @FrankKriticos 5 місяців тому +1

      It’s either debt to the bank at x% or paying your saving account back at 0%. Taking on low cost debt will allow most to scale quicker with revenue outpacing organic growth.

    • @DavidGeppertRecycling
      @DavidGeppertRecycling 5 місяців тому +1

      @@FrankKriticos hundreds of dumpsters, 8 paid for trucks, debt is not your friend. We had 800k of trucks coming in when the gov of PA shut construction down. Imagine having to lay those notes when reduced income. Debt ALWAYS comes with risk. Everyone can run their business how they want, but a business won't go bankrupt if it's not in debt.

    • @FrankKriticos
      @FrankKriticos 5 місяців тому

      @@DavidGeppertRecycling i don’t disagree however if things get bad would you rather owe money to a bank and not have cash on hand? There’s no correct way but there’s a reason why wealthy people put mortgages on their homes. What it really comes down to is discipline.

    • @DavidGeppertRecycling
      @DavidGeppertRecycling 5 місяців тому +1

      @@FrankKriticos I'd rather not owe, and have cash. Our trucks do not leave the yard to break even, they only leave the yard to profit. Since they're paid for they can sit, even the newest 2024s. It's liberating to not chase payments.

    Solid information from Mike and my two cents is:
    1. Someone to do full time sales on a commission basis where they get paid commission for the life of the customer.
    2. Since he is a disabled veteran, local, state, federal governments and NGO's give preferential consideration, contact them!
    Remember this, EVERY BUSINESS STAYS ALIVE BECAUSE OF SALES! SO, SELL, SELL,SELL, SELL, SELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Was watching this talking about selling their hook lift and dumpsters and I was screaming thats the wrong move. Was very happy when Mike flipped that around. Free up the wife by getting rid of the junk removal and the husband can just sit in the hook lift truck doing dumpsters. If you need cash flow sell the box truck and maybe a few dumpsters to get out of that loan.

    This is my first video of yours but I got through the video and your advice was
    1.) Give the dumpsters for free so they're not sitting on site
    2.) Target contractors (how??)
    3.) Get your dumpsters on people’s properties (how?)
    I’m excited to dive into some of your videos

      Drive around when you see a house being remodeled ask for the name of the company, google them and call or ask an employee for the # not that hard to find contractors, just have to spend a couple hours a day driving around or maybe google house remodeling businesses, roof replacement/repairs or mitigation companies and call them 1 by 1

      I wouldn't listen to the first comment, they're a troll.
      If your dad's business is already failing, maybe I'd stick with your own thing, and just do easy stuff there's no age restriction on to advertise. Print flyers and put em up everywhere, SLAM social media with ads EVERY DAY. Facebook, Nextdoor, whatever free apps you can get and advertise to your town. You can get word far and wide pretty easily.
      Would probably have to stick with cash in hand until you're 18, but keep good records for tax time in case you make enough
