Emanual are TERRIBLE. Absolutely horrible, poor customer service. No returns. They have the downloadable content paypal non refund process down perfectly. There will be far easier ways to get ista, and probably cheaper too. Thats my experience with them
Good video, I've just subscribed to your channel. Re. E Manuals on line. I ordered and paid for a manual a couple of years ago for my son's car which is fairly old (2002), the one advertised looked fantastic compared to the Haynes which we already had. The manual they supplied was the poorest scanned copy of the Haynes manual, which we already owned, imaginable. However, having complained and finally got through to the right person, they sent me a link and I had to download some software, which enabled a very dodgy looking process indeed. It appeared to hack into the Vauxhall dealer system via someone else's desktop computer in America! However, I managed to get the specific information I needed to do the job in question and haven't had to use it again, I don't know whether it still works.

There must be a market for selling specific information to customers on a set model instead of bits missing ,not paying an arm and leg for yearly contract.
@@bigo975 correct one car but if i were using manufacturer portal it would normally be for one car, easy manuals are a couple of pound more but you get everything in one pdf file with the complete repair manual with wiring diagrams.

I ordered a manual for a Mercedes W208 from them a week and a half ago. What I eventually got after two days was a 1500+ page pdf with no index, loads of blank pages, the diagrams in black with white outlines, some cut through the middle on two pages or to the right of a page, split down the middle with the right portion missing. They replied saying that at the time the car was built Mercedes only published paper manuals. They did eventually come back with several links that I need to download, one being a program that I have to install without which the new manual cannot be accessed. I've not gone through the whole process as of yet because of the frustration of downloading the initial link that they sent me thinking that maybe I had done something wrong. With my connection 1500+ pages take a bloody long time. If the new links don't give me any joy, I'll be making a claim for a refund from PayPal despite their claim that they don't make refunds 🤔🤨🤬🤬🤬

Is there info telling what signal/voltage to expect from the sensors so you can test if thay are functioning correctly thats what you also need to determine if its a sensor fault or a bad connection somewhere
I don't know why anyone would use E manuals for BMW when you can pay BMW $32 a day for service info on all vehicles, not just one make. Edit: That can be only in the USA, I don't know.
If you’re pro, that’s definitely the way to go. I do know some people have problems setting up accounts depending on the status of their business. Not sure if non-trade can access; certainly need an approved account here in the UK 👍

Wish I would've read these comments before I ordered my manual from Emanual Online. Ordered a manual for a 2015-2019 Chevy Colorado (mine is 2017). The manual doesn't even have the correct motor and transmission for my truck. My truck has and LGZ 3.6 engine with and 8L45 transmission. The manual only has the LFW 3.6 with the 6L50 transmission. I don't think the LFW and 6L50 even came in these trucks after 2017. How can I trust any of the information in this manual. Feel like I've been defrauded.
you have i tied them ended up with same info from the Haynes manual, doesn't cover my convertible at all only some engine parts are the same, no info on the body control for the roof or window sequence as these different from the normal cars prices are over the top for the, DIY for the short time you can get access ON LINE
I was testing autel mk808 wire obd and didn’t test obd port voltage before connecting mk808 then the motherboard was 🔥 burn and smoke because wrong wires for obd port 😢
@@brianb5779 no odb wires on a car was wrong because put holden v8 engine in nissan patrol 1990 so my advise use can obd voltage tester befoure connecting your scanner

Have anyone else tried this to verify that once you purchase the software its not just sending you a pdf file of copied papers its actually giving you access to exactly what we see in this video.He said they sent him a code and. then had access to what the tech would have access to so I dont know if that was for promotional use or what I just don't want any misleading confusion because once you spend your money there is no return.

I live in Australia, I Have 2003 Astra Bertone convertible with the z22se engine, could not find any info to buy or down load, just like all the others ,you get shit copies, I had one site and they downloaded a service manual for a toy remote car using the name of the heading for the Astra above.

Since i left dealerships and went independent, wiring diagrams are an absolute nightmare to get hold of. I tried emanual online to get a diagram for my 2006 focus st, but they only have facelifted 2008 model. My boss doesn't have or want a subscription to alldata etc since he doesn't do much electrical work, and i can't subscribe myself as i am not a business 🤦
That is not the page I saw when I bought my manual… it’s was not awful but light years away from all data or Haynes pro. It always annoys me that they have 3 or 4 manuals with the same name but with different prices.one might say Service Workshop. Another might say Workshop Service and it’s 10 pounds more expensive…? Hi. I've tried E-manual in the past with little success. Went over to the dark side😏. Thankfully these days I've retired but the charges for online/CD based tech reference is rediculous.
I'm sure that all manuals were obtained legitimately by them (sarcasm)... even if most of them are sold as VM (virtual machine) copies of the copied factory product.
I do like your channel, but using your BMW as the example in this case isn't helpful. It would have been a good idea if Emanual would have allowed you more access so you could have searched for different vehicles. It's clearly showing the BMW ISTA program so other manufacturers information isn't going to be shown in the same way, so this video is a bit misleading. People going to search and pay for their information who don't know that ISTA is BMW specific might be a little suprised when their info is in front of them and it looks nothing like what is in your vid. Having worked in the industry myse;f, those in the know will understand that all manufacturers diagrams etc are all different and not shown in the same way. I think it will be a good idea to do a vid or series of videos on different manufacturers info so people watching your channel can see what is out there.
It would definitely be good to see the quality and method of material for other manufacturers. It seems there are varying levels of quality for eManual. I think I mentioned that they said it would be different depending on the vehicle. They did make that clear to me as I did ask 👍
For my car there is 30 PDF's with silmilar name "Service workshop manual" etc. Each around 30$... Looks like collection of random files without any info what's inside. No search by VIN.
Emanual just supplied a badly scanned copy of a Haynes manual - I already had a a physical copy. Took ages to get my money back by contacting my card provider. Scammers...
at the very least, this sounds like a service that illegally accesses the dealer software services. I would be very cautious about using a website from a company that is happy to use these sorts of methods, and certainly wouldnt be happy sharing payment details with them. I'd steer clear if I were you.
That site is a waste of time - I just looked if info was available for two of the family/friends cars I work on, Fords, 2017 & 2022 - and neither is listed. Useless.

That i what I got from the service site before they closed it down with no notice. You had to use windows for the boxes to have something in it.

I totally agree.....plus you get more information on the BMW site. Emanuals $42 is for 1 VIN only.

Or instead, install ISTA on your laptop and you don't have to pay for wiring diagrams 😁
Looks cracking that does. Have been using haynes, this is very similar but with added bonus of dealer diagrams.
The Haynes diagrams are nice. They can lack details so good to have back up if required. Thanks!

How big is the file you downloaded
It is accessed by a link that they sent over, along with a log in and password. It only works with the chassis number I supplied 👍

If you are good and watching PHAD, open your own shop and get ALLDATA.
