.... place nearly 50 years ago. 30th July, a day I'll always remember.
British Pathe is so damn interesting. The Internet is amazing.
Greatest moment in English Football History. Some great footage and it's hard to imagine that this took
Historic and amazing video. The last 30 sec with the dog spy was terrific.
We like Pickles the dog too! All best, Elizabeth
everybody knows: that ball hit out
I went to hear Gordon Banks talk recently, he still loves reliving these times, as he should !
I’m seeing this when in euro 2024 England are lucky to be in the semis of the euros.
Wasn't there a film made about the 1966 world cup tournament called "Goal" I think?
how cool
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Britain blew a 13-0 colony lead.
Very nkce
the greatest team
Came here after the Iceland defeat.
Don't blame you! All best, BP
7:06 pause please! :p
Gol o no gol?
@@howardmanrique6995 no goal
Interesting how the England fans are waving the Union Jack. Why is that?
Presumably over time, home nation nationalism has increased? I don't know, but it could be that the Cross of St George wasn't associated with football 50 years ago.
Heinkle You have a good point there, however on some of the shots of large sections of the crowd there were one or two St. George's flags. It's just surprising to me because it's extremely rare to see the Union Jack flown in support of any of the individual nations of GB except in the case of Northern Ireland.
Because back then we were more United and if Scotland/Ireland didnt qualify they would support England..... but now they are increasingly bitter about England and really rude to us....... no bloody idea why
No devolution=National Unity
England scored 4 goals not 3. Even if you take away the disputed goal, guess what ? England still wins the match! Cant blame the officials for that!
Well guess what! If that goal didn't count, Germany could have cleared the ball and Germany would get a breakaway and score
Germany threw almost everyone forward in the last minute in a desperate attempt to rescue an equaliser. Don't let your passport block brainwaves
I think that ball didn't entered.
Too many games are decided by incorrect referee decisions even today. This sports needs an additional referee with access to the camera feeds.
Like VAR
@@cloud4565 VAR didn't work well and in fact it vitiated the result of the final game in 2018.
Poor England losing World Cup 52 yrs in row.
7:05 That ball was so on the line it's unbelievable.
Hong Kong
Interesting! All best, BP
Wan Hei Ng ni hao ma
put the speed of the video on 0:25 and you will seee clearly that ball hit the line
Watch at 7:04 at x0.25 speed...
Line ref stealing for England in slow motion!!!
It was settled long ago.. no goal. But England seemed to be the better team anyway and probably would have won in the end. Fun fact: In those days they'd replay the game as many time as necessary until a winner emerged, if it was tied after extra time.
7:05
England 2 West Germany 2 ... the "so called goals" in extra time, should NOT have counted ... not fully over the goal line, and people running on the pitch.
Just LOOK at the footage when Jeff Hurst scores the "So Called" 4th goal ... people are RUNNING ON THE PITCH !.
Germany were robbed...
And Argentina... and Portugal... that cup was the perfect example of a shameless fraud
...and what about Uruguay
Inglaterra ganhou porque o arbitro errou ou roubou ...
England won because the referee missed or stolen ...
I have wonderful news for you!! Jesus Christ loves you and he’s coming any day now like a thief in the night!!! All the signs are here right now. Stay close to Jesus!!!
