Great review. My poco x3 pro still performs great but the M series is kinda +/- for me idk if I should ever consider buying it even if it’s similar to Nothing Phone 1. Nahh… i stick with my Nothing Phone 1 for this. I’m waiting for Xiaomi 13 in Singapore (if ever) or considering S23 ultra.
Great straightforward review. No 10 minute unboxing bull crap, and good comparison with another camera so we can see the diff. Solid one from poco though pity about the missing card slot.

Nice review, can you do a Camera test on Poco X5 pro on seperate video for video capabilities also beside images quality? Unfortunately, this phone has no SD card extension so do you think for a non gamer a 128GB of ROM is quite enough? Can this phone use OTG for flash disk and use it to store video files while taking or recording videos for instance? thanks

I still remember Poco F4 launched at RM1499 last June. It's the same price as the high spec X5 Pro. Poco prices are slowly climbing.

Better to get X5 pro at rm1499 for the 256gb. With the 108mp camera the pictures gonna be big, if only 128gb, and no card slot, eventually u will run out of space. Poco should keep the card slot that was on x4 pro.

Great Move by POCO putting SD 778G but i think Poco X3 Pro Snapdragon 860 are much powerful in paper than this 778G i think the pros of this 778G is it have a 5G than 860 4G, but i think it can support 5G. But overall this Poco X5 Pro is cool.

Stunning looks! 💛🖤 Superb screen, decent chip, great cameras and I just love the saturated look of photos shown here and therefore Poco easily beats Nothing Phone in my opinion. Only disappointment is that it ships with old Android 12 and not 13. And why SD card slot is gone is a big mistake too.
What is the use bloatware, no proper update, broken updates, not good

1:37 the only thing that I hate about this phone is that black panel housing Poco logo on the back. It wasn’t necessary and give me an impression of some cheap casing with camera cover. All in all, I love the color combination of black frame & camera module, and yellow back as well as the power button which in my opinion looks edgy & sporty.
Also, the photo looks great in daytime and indoor regardless of being oversaturated cause I think it looks more lively. However, I dislike it for night photography which makes the photos looks a lil bit eyesore hahaha 3:07.
For the design I think they put the Poco logo because otherwise it would be identical to the Redmi note 12 pro

Well balanced. I think if the ultrawide camera is a 12MP it would be icing on the cake. Otherwise, for an everyday device, this is not bad.

Between the X5 Pro and say the OnePlus 10T which in your opinion have a better & brighter display (under direct sunlight), louder & crispier speakers (w/ a bit of bass), better selfie camera ( in HDR, sharpness, skin tones,) and a more robust Gallery/Photo Editor? this is the best and most balanced poco device in the past decades because this phone is so charm but for me i don't know I'm going to choose this one or the redmi note 12 pro (although it's not launch globally yet) and galaxy a73 if i can found in the stock

Redmi note 12 pro might be great but i kinda am concerned with the QC issues on poco phones. But idk since the x5 pro is just the global ver. of the redmi note 12 pro speed

Would you recommend upgrading from Poco X3 Pro to Poco X5 Pro?
If you really want 5G and better camera you should get Poco X5 Pro. But if you doesn't care about 5G yet and ignore the best camera you can just continue Poco X3 Pro for this year and next year because this year Poco X3 Pro will get last update which is Android 13 later this year with MIUI 14.
After 2023 will no OS update for Poco X3 Pro but if you really want another 2 years update support go for Poco X5 Pro which you can get up to Android 14. Poco X5 Pro expected to get Android 13 later this year as well follow by Android 14. But I recommend you wait the flagship ones like Poco F series which is flagship device or X GT series which is over killed mid range device.

The problem with this phone is it's quality. It's easy to brake in half. Check those tests on youtube.

Btw Nothing Phone 1 uses Snapdragon 778G Plus,not 778G which is inside Poco X5 Pro.
The "plus" is just for wireless charging & reverse charging as stated by Carl Pei himself.. doesn't affect the performance

was using M3 pro simultaneously with ifon 7 plus… after a yr… ifon perform almost the same as before but the poco… lagging when sliding from page to page… couldn’t run even youtube app.. poco / xiaomi has by far the worst software experience… no longer trust any of their products…
