04:31 Every artist needs to know this, and it's something I wish I knew when I started drawing. When we get caught up in "finding our art style", It's an easy trap to just skip on developing our skills and simply copy existing styles, without understanding why they work. Part of the beauty in art is exploration; discovering what speaks to you, and how your art can reflect a unique point of view. We as artists should welcome outside influences and pave new paths. Let's experiment! There's no need to stick to just one thing. Great work as usual, Kat! :D
Wow this video was awesome!! Thanks so much for these improvement tips!! I’m slowly learning digital art and your honesty one of my role models! So thanks friend! 🫶🏾🎨🍑
Yeah this is great. Especially the part about finding your art style. As a younger artist I gave myself massive artblock by telling myself I needed a personal style, and it got so bad I didn’t even want to draw anymore. Art is supposed to be fun! I’m glad your getting this out there!
Hi!💝 I know you made the last rottmnt video 2 months ago, but can you make a slower tutorial of how to draw them? If no, then that's okay! If yes, then that's okay as well💝 I really love your art, your voice, your coloring, your just amazing!💝 any-hoo, you have a lovely Halloween, and if you don't celebrate Halloween, then I hope you have a awesome 8 days!💝
Aaaaa thank you thank you!!🩷✨ I don’t currently plan to make any tutorials, but if you want to learn how to draw them you can start by learning their shapes and redrawing screenshots to become comfortable with the show’s style!!✨ If you like how other artists draw them, you can study those artworks too! Just be sure if you directly copy someone else’s artwork that you don’t post it 🤗
this is a very good video, and i agree with all of this! however, i haven't really figured out texture in my digital art yet. what do you do to put texture in your art? how do i look for ways to add texture into my art? i've never really thought about this, where do i start?
Great questions!! Here’s what I do personally: I use brushes with a painted texture, (watercolor brushes, paint brushes, etc.) and pencil brushes that have more texture, giving a similar look to real pencil. I also use images of canvas texture or gemstone texture; setting that as an overlay layer above my art! Hope this helps!!🩷✨
