More or less one year ago, I got really into doll customizing after watching your Aldrich video. And here you are now killing it again with Simone! Awesome job!!
First off, wow you're a beautiful 2B! Secondly, this has to be one of the most well built dolls I've seen on this platform, you really outdid yourself Elisa! Keep up the good work!
Pro tip: When trying to make new and/or vibrant material look old and dirty, get some a few colors of fabric dye. Colors such as brown, green, red, yellow and blue fabric dyes. Slowly add colors to the pot of water that the directions of the dye suggest you use. When you achieve the color you are looking for start dunking your materials into the pot. If you want to give the allusion of like a dirty shirt sleeve/seam that has been rubbed along a dirty table then create that fold using a clothes hanger and clothes pins and dunk that edge in a few times or leave only that seam to soak for a bit. Here is the most important part of executing this tip... If you're dying red fabric, like you used here, the you'll want to use colors that contrast it, like green and brown. The goal isn't to fully dye the material, just alter the color. So I don't recommend using the full amount of dye to water ratio. I prefer to use 4 parts water to 1 part dye. If it's a strong dark color then I'll even go with a 5/1 ratio. That way it's not too pigmented and can easily be altered to fit the look I am going for. Make sure to let the material dry before going all in because dry material can look vastly different than wet material. When you achieve the color you like make sure to wash as directed and then wash again but this time add some vinegar to your washer so that the color doesn't bleed I hope this technique helps someone else in the future. It took me years upon years and countless dollars in material to find something that was just short of strapping them to my Lambor-feeties or taking them for a ride on the shoe lace express.
@@MoonlightJewel Your partner did a wonderful job with his technique and it was likely much less time consuming. This technique is good for cosplay since planning can take weeks if not months. I wouldn't recommend someone whose never tried my technique try it for the first (or second) time if they are in a time crunch. However, I wouldn't not recommend trying it with scrap material sometime if you're curious how it works. Again, he did a wonderful job and I wouldn't have thought to do that.
I saw the thumbnail and audibly gasped in excitement. I LOVE NieR Automata, I think I might like it a little too much tbh... *Glances at the hundreds of dollars worth of merch and figurines* But this enemy in particular was one of my favorites. Especially with the battles leading up to her. It's like she's the grand reveal, and the way her story is told during the second playthrough of the game with 9S was awesome.

But this enemy in particular was one of my favorites. Especially with the battles leading up to her. It's like she's the grand reveal, and the way her story is told during the second playthrough of the game with 9S was awesome.
