MAW... Not to be played with. If you were not in the clubs when this song was out, you missed it. It's gone. This vibe came, infected many, and can never be duplicated...sorry Calvin Harris and the rest of the laptop DJ's/Loop producers. You just had to be there. It's not your fault.
Used to hear this on "98.7 KISS F.M." back in the day.......... I like this version, but I can't find the one I heard back then.... I listened to all the ones on youtube, and haven't heard it yet...
Me too, it was the one Tony Humphries used to play in Club Zanzibar. Back then I used to go, good times, I had just gotten out of the Army and returned from the Gulf War. Dancing and drinking the night away.......
alkh3myst I'm late to the party, but your comment about the energy level of this version is true! The "fluidity" is there, but it's missing it's "soul".....so to speak... Dancing to the "raw" versions of these types of house music tracks was fun back in the day..... Like going to your local church and hearing the local "Choir" sing.... Then hearing them on record, polished, and "studio produced."....... It's not the same! Funny...... You don't even hear "raw" house music tracks in the clubs anymore....... It's a sad commentary on the music industry today.
MAW took all the rawness out of Tony Humphries' original version of this mix. It used to have so much more energy. Mixing in more of that chiming keyboard part on the refrain was a mistake. Tony's mix emphasized that chugging keyboard riff.
This is titled incorrectly! Masters At Work did work on the remix, but the artist is by the following:Desiya - Comin' On Strong (Vinyl) at Discogswww.discogs.com/Desiya-Comin-On-Strong/release/35658
muchissimo gracias xxxx

I STILL LOVE this song! MAW & Todd Terry did their thang right here no doubt! I know this is a jam tailor made for the UK, it has that sound.

Nobody adds the Violin anymore. This is how it's done properly.
Oh my f_ck! I've been missing this particular version! After all these years past, this song would cause any dance floor to explode

Love this track, but Desiya's repetitive refrain becomes painfully redundant towards the end...
not very creative on the lyrics, but the track is high energy. I always liked spinning this track
