They didn't get into Maturin or the deep lore in the TV miniseries. But in IT Chapter 1 they did make references to Maturin a few times. There was the turtle in the water where the kids played, and there was the Lego turtle that was a protector until it was broken to pieces. I think we're going to get the lore this time, and it certainly looks like they're going to depict the Ritual of Chud in some form.

Yeah, sometimes appartments are build like that, it's because of the top floor and So rooms often get these sloping walls... that is the best way that I can explain it. I don't klnow, maybe it's a Denmark thing or a Europe thing, I dunno, but there it is.
