Hi, I'm from Granada and I would like to say something that tourists usually don't think about. It's true that Granada's center and The Alhambra are beautiful, but there are also a lot of small villages near the city center that are always forgotten like Vegas del Genil. Using this one as an example, there are amazing views and peace. You can easily go for a walk while listening to music and take a look of the river, fields a lot of more things ^^

vegas del genil¿¿ Santa fe is a historical city where the Kings fought against muslims. In Santafe you can see the cathedral and the 4 gates

Walking up the river walk from the city center to Pinos Genil is also amazing. Granada also has a lot of hills and mountains next to the city center for those who like hiking or trail running. Nothing compares a nice run/walk surrounded by nature only to end up watching the sunset over the Alhambra and City center (Silla del moro or San Miguel alto are good options) and then just walk down to the city for a few beers with our popular free tapas. Un saludo paisano!

I was totally mesmerized by the visuals in this video: the super atmospheric narrow alleyways, the steep topography, the beautifully clear skies, the architecture, the exotic vibe, the staggering panoramic drone views, the snow-capped Sierra Nevada, everything is just so alluring. Especially in winter, I can only imagine the coziness of the place, tucking into a little tea house to sample some Moroccan tea! Just lovely. And of course, the Alhambra itself is a rare once-in-a-lifetime treat. Staring into those infinitely intricate carved ceilings in the Nasrid Palaces is what I imagine staring into the face of God would be like. Absolutely hypnotic! This part of Spain is truly one of my target destinations for next year. Thank you for taking us along. This was an awesome and very intimate look at a most beautiful city and Unesco World Heritage site.

Granada is a beautiful city and the Alhambra is nothing short of a world treasure. Anyone going to the Andalucia must put this on their "must see" list. We also had Moroccan food (and a few other meals of Arabic food) in Granada and Malaga -- wonderful flavors. I just found your videos and have enjoyed your Spain series. Great job.

My wife and I returned from Granada just yesterday. Yes, the Alhambra is big and beautiful and is steeped in more history than can be explored in a few minute video. I'm in my 70's, and you should have mentioned that the hike uphill to the scenic spot that's on an even plane with the Alhambra will be quite the arduous hike. Because Granada is such an old city, you could have mentioned that the streets are literally hundreds of years old and are of cobblestone. Even the sidewalks are cobblestone. I saw people trying to push others in wheelchairs in attempting to get around, and it was problematic at best. We even ate at the Riviera.

You made it to Granada! Wow 🤩 amazing top notch video. 👍👍 And what beautiful drone shots. Couple episodes ago I was suggest to goto Alhambra Fortress (due to Korean Drama, the memories of Alhambra). Your video is better than the drama and A lots scene reminds me the drama. This city is so beautiful, snow capped and craftsmanship is amazing. Thanks so much for being us along to your great adventure. It’s simply spectacular! After watching your video I want to goto Granada someday.
Your free water scenes at the water fountain crack me up (btw you two). Chad has a huge blue bottle. And $15 euro for dinner is amazing.

Hi, I'm from Granada, I recommend you go skiing to Sierra Nevada and if you are mountain experts, make an expedition to El Veleta or El Mulhacen, which are the two highest mountains in Sierra Nevada. If you notice an earthquake do not panic, the area is full of seismic faults and there are earthquakes very often. Enjoy the city.

Thanks for sharing another great video! I must visit the Alhambra one day🤞🏼. With only one city left to visit I am guessing either Sevilla or Cordoba. I have been to both, but it has been about five years so I am excited to see your next video. It must be difficult deciding on just one… Do you go to Sevilla and see Alczar, Plaza España and Flamenco dancing, or Cordoba and it’s World Heritage sites. I would love to see and hear your take on La Mezquita.

No such thing as "Spanish food". It's more like "regional Food" depending on where you are. Spanish cuisine is so varied that one can't label any dish as the official staple of Spain. OK, perhaps Paella and Tapas would be the more recognized fare for visitors, but the cuisine of Spain is second to none in terms of taste, ingredients, and the many styles to choose from. Exploring these differences is an adventure in itself.!

Despite the its Moorish roots, Granada isn’t exactly Little Morocco. The Moroccan market (Alcaiceria) caters exclusively to tourists. Also, the gardens at the Alhambra are not at their best during the winter months and city can get very cold due to the higher elevation. Some significant but overlooked sights are the San Juan de Dios Basilica, the San Jeronimo Royal Monastery and the Cartuja Monastery. The Albaicin area is overrated in my opinion.

Hey Guys, stumbled upon your vlog while doing research for an upcoming (COVID willing) Mediterranean trip which includes Spain and some recon for early retirement. I currently have my eye on the Iberian pen and Italy for possible retirement locations so while I was watching A Place In the Sun real estate videos for these locations your vlogs popped up. It could be the geographer in me but since you two are and will be crisscrossing the globe it would be super helpful if a map was included in the beginning of your segment when you mention where you've arrived or where you're going next, etc. This way we can see where you came from and where you're going next to orient ourselves. A little geographic education is helpful for everyone in this humble Geographers opinion. I always need to know where a place is located. As soon as I hear of a destination, if I don't know the location - immediate Google Earth. Even if I do know the location I still want to see what duration of a trip it would be between the two points. Anyway, just a suggestion. Well done on your vlogs thus far.

Al-Andalus was not Moroccan, it never was, in fact Morocco did not exist at that time, Al-Andalus was an Arab colony *, like all the other territories in the southern Mediterranean coast from Spain to Arabia.
(*) Al-Andalus later became an independent caliphate 'Caliphate of Córdoba' and after that became in numerous kingdoms, including the kingdom of Granada.

Well Sorry but morrocco has almost nothing to do with arab culture . In Spain was arab culture ( siria,Iran,Saudi Arabia and so on )
Morroco is a country also influenced by arabs.
    Thst tapescrit is hindú .
Arabs introduced almost everythin un Euripe
Desserts, perfume, science, architecture, medicine. AMD remember a saying in Spain " Central and north of Europe were " bárbaros " which mean no culture ,illiterate and so on
    Good video !
