Happy Mother’s Day guys
Can you guys consider to watch Kaiju no.8, I recommend to watch this because it's funny, a new anime series that just drop previous month, have a nice animation with interesting story, at first it's sorta like one punch man that mix with Attack on Titan (AOT)but its a Kaiju and probably in the next eps it will be kinda different so...😐 Would you guys considering to watch this?
only airbending masters have the tattoos, regular airbenders dont
Book 2 is even better than 1 and 3 is better than both
When will you guys react on book 2 and 3?
I’m glad that you guys acknowledged the fact that when zukos dad gave him the mission to find the avatar it was under the context that the avatar was assumed dead so the fire lord essentially did not have any expectations of zuko coming back and gave him an impossible task. Which makes his backstory all the more fucked up.
Well, if the avatar was aknowledged as dead After the fall of the Airbenders civilisation, then he should have reincarnated in a waterbender. So the mission wasn't that useless, but it definitely a way to send him far
@@MaafaxKelen which would explain why he was near the southern water tribe at the start of the series i suppose
@@vRED13vTTVhe was near the southern water tribe because he’s from the SOUTHERN air temple; he and appa were already close.
@@chance1774 Zuko! the main subject of all the posts in this thread.

Zuko villain story started with a selfless act
Aang hero's story started with a selfish act
Ironic
Actually never thought about it like that before. Pretty cool detail.
Freaking cool insight!

Ange realizing he IS Sokka is the greatest thing ever
"oh that's me.."
"that's so you.."
😭😭😆😆
Literally him fr
I mean they're kinda both Sokka.
I hope you guys notice that it was only the elder Airbenders had the arrows. The arrows are only given to an airbending master. Aang became a master at a very young age.
Then again, we only see the old masters being at the temple. Who knows where the other younger masters might have been
@@TheSyconerdit still signified tho that Aang was still a master at such a young age which is also very likely because he was the avatar. There possible was other young masters but I doubt any were as young as Aang was. One would expect that in being an avatar you'd become sort of a prodigy in the element you were born with.
@@camrynduplessis2743 while that is true, that as far as we know Aang was the youngest for his time. But We do see however see people like jinora who surpassed aang at getting her tattoos earlier. I think being that avatar just gives you a leg up but not immediate prodigy as we could see korra taking years to meet a fraction of what aang did
@@TheSyconerd this is in relation to airbending specifically so korra can't really be roped into the debate. Air bending took her very long to learn so if anything you bringing that up only cemented my statement even further. She also was originally a waterbending avatar so again, she can't be brought up for comparison.
Jinora was also born many years after aangs passing, this particular situation correlates more so to Aangs time as an airbender before being told he was the avatar so she also can't really be used for comparison due to the difference in time frames, if she was born around Aangs time then yes we could do that. She may be among the youngest or is the youngest across airbending history that's true but in this case we're talking about Aang specifically.
It honestly frustrates me how often reacors get told to skip ep 11…
It‘s still a part of the show, just cuz we saw it over and over again on tv, that doesn‘t change that reactors see it for the first time! -.-
It's a boring episode that has 0 impact on the story. It basically feels akin to a filler
@@DIEGOLOKO82 first, dude SPOILERS -.-
Second, so what? It just means the people in the episode aren‘t blabbermouths I guess ;P
@@JiooguProductions who cares? it's literally one episode, this isn't naruto with hundreds of episodes and a ton of filler amidst those hundreds of episodes, it's literally one episode out of only 61, for a first watch people should watch the series in full and make up their own mind.
plus it's just 1 20 mins eps. this fandom can be dramatic at times
@@JiooguProductions0 impact on the stroytelling, I agree, but that's not the point of the episode... This episode is there to develop the personalities of the trio. This is 100% part of the series and it's just a stupid mistake to ignore it, even more so when reacting to ATLA for the first time.
That old woman can feel in her bones when a storm approaches, knows where to find Aang and Katara, can fly or even teleport to their places, has wisdom to make the best decisions, is physically strong for her age and probably operates secret cults. This is the most powerful character of this show clearly!
a ton of people give episode 11 a lot of crap, but thats really only because it was run on tv constantly. on its own merits its a fine episode
Glad you didn't skip ep 11... it wasn't in everyone's top 10, but it's still part of the Avatar journey, and whoever insists it's "skippable" isn't really doing y'all any favors.
Besides, The Great Divide (if anything) shows us that Aang isn't an absolute saint.. that counts :p
More importantly, this is the first time Aang shows his Rizz to Katara (at 10:11). Look at their facial reactions and voice tones lol
this episode aint bad but it aint good either
ehhh, its pretty skippable
@@drateryakonah
@@drateryako skippable after seeing it the first time 2nd watch yes very skippable
Episode 12 isn't just a parallel of Ang and Zuko's story. It also parallels Jet with Zuko and how despite being the recurring antagonist, Zuko has far better care for lives and morales
Zuko doesn't have far better care for lives and morales than jet. Zuko has no problems burning down entire villages, or using manipulation tactics to get what he wants. Zuko saved the crew member partially because he has morales sure but imo it's more so because he needs them.
The tonal whiplash of going from The Great Divide to The Storm is wild. I'm cackling.
(Also, glad you watched The Great Divide. It's definitely a different vibe from most of the rest of the show, but it's fun and does some experimentation with animation styles, which is cool)
So it's not exactly filler, but since the episode has no real continuity to it, story progression, etc. it was repeated over and over and over again on tv. So all of us who watched it as kids learned to just HATE this episode
Eh even if you haven't seen all the reruns it's still probably the only bad episode in the show. No real interesting character stuff, no good action or fun bending, it isn't very funny, no interesting worldbuilding etc. The best part is the creature design and the art styles in the backstory.
Still wouldn't recommend that someone skip it first time, but I think pretty much everybody skips it a second time.
@@tortoiseoflegends4466 The world building is interesting. Action is pretty fun and new; we also saw that bending is not the only means to tackle one's daily life problems. Also, Aang rizzed Katara up in 10:10 (notice Katara's face and tone). This is a decent episode.
Exactly
no one cares. can they have their own first experience with it and decide for themselves??!! you're not that important.
@@brandonjuno *Counterargument:* What if humans can't decide anything on their own properly? What if he is important? I personally think that he is right and that we learnt to hate it but that's just besides the point.
Nice to see all the Zuko love so early. I am excited for later if this is how it begins with you guys.
People who tell reactors to skip episodes should skip commenting.
It's weird to suggest skipping 11. It might be the worst episode, but that's no reason to skip it. It's *fine*
4:39 I thought australians are used to see such things like every day
There is a pathway to the cave, which is how the old woman got to the cave. You can see it clearly when Katara spots the cave from the air while flying on Appa.
Aang had us all fooled 😂! Really sad to see Zuko and Aang's backstory, and nice to see Zuko make a good decision here
can't freaking believe someone told you to skip Ep 11 man, the heck?
I'm glad you didn't skip any episode, much like you shouldn't skip watching the movie after you're done with the whole show (ignore the fact that the movie mostly only covers the first season, there are some small elements from latter seasons in it as well). Seeing everything is a part of the Avatar experience we all went through and you reacting to even the less likeable parts is still worth it for us.
Never listen to those people who wants you to skip episode please!!!!!
I'm proud for Ange for the "rinsed" burn for katara. Lol
I don't care if it's a 'filler' no one should ever skip any episodes on a first watch through. Skip them on a rewatch if you feel like it but first time people should experience the whole show.
Spoken like somebody who has never watched Bleach or Naruto
This is... This is bad advice and rule. No, just no.
I will never get over the VO for Robin from Teen Titans.
Great reaction!
That backstory hits!
i can’t wait for you guys to get to the later seasons, i just know you’ll love them
I never thought I'd find someone else like me who also doesn't get sightseeing. I always say I can just look up the places on google images and it's the same thing. I'm on Ange's side here. If I'm going on a vacation I do it for the activities and food, things that I can't experience through google.
You guys should look at the visual differences of water bending and air bending it’s really different when you look at it
Aang’s backstory is sad too :(
Zuko's backstory just lays a lot of the groundwork to understand that Zuko is a good kid at heart. He is just misguided by the desire to please the person who's supposed to love him, unconditionally at that. At heart he is Iroh's kid more than he ever was Ozai's.
Iroh also feel guilty about Zuko because he's the one who allowed him in this war meeting.
fun fact: the monk's choosing of next avatar is based on irl test of choosing the next Dalai Lama
Pretty sure the old lady just walked up to the cave lol. You can see the mountain's pathway near the entrance in some shots.
I really see episode 11 as character development for the main characters
Aang the lil creative menace
Two comments. 1. The Storm is one of the best episodes in season 1, and I’m glad you guys appreciated the parallels and seriousness of what this episode shows.
2. Completely unrelated to this, but I’m so glad you guys are finally starting One Piece! I just read the newest chapter and shit I’d crazy, can’t wait to see ya’ll react to the new stuff when you eventually get to it
Y'all ain't shit for wanting them to skip The Great Divide
What a story poor Zuko
Asking people to skip episode 11 is completely idiotic. Yes, it's a weak episode, but it's also part of the show.
I wonder when the made episode 12, why they only showed the shot with the stairs/ramp thing leading up to that cave once and every other shot they showed outside of it was from the other side where you don't see the stairs. SO MANY reactors miss that ramp and question how everyone is getting up there. No other cave entrance in this show gets shown so many times, yet confuses so many haha.
A ramp/stairs are the answer. They are just on the other side and the shot with the stairs is shown once, and the other shots poorly depict that ledge for some reason.
I thank u so much for doing ep 11, its part of the show and it might have zero plot development or what not according to some but its technically not a filler so it's necessary for a first time watch thru in my opinion.
Crazy that zuko's dad essentially banished him without saying so directly since when you think about it, according to everyone's knowledge the avatar no longer existed so it really was an impossible task which is just completely sad.
Here to spread some love and say The Great Divide is peak because there is way too much negativity surrounding the wonderful episode.
Funny how…
The hero’s journey starts with a selfish act.
&
The antagonists journey starts with a selfless act.
The great divide (ep 11) gets a bad rap because it's widely regarded as the weakest episode of ATLA, it's not filler, it's just a fine episode of TV, it's just the contrast between this week episode and the heights the entire series normally maintains that causes people to go, "oh it's trash filler". doesn't help that it's right beside the Storm (ep 12) which is widely considered one of the best episodes, those most people end up comparing them.
now that i think of it, i never had a problem with episode 11, but it would've been better received if it happened before we were promised a speedrun by roku's warning
i would say it would've been fine if it played out that way, but some already think that earlier part of the season is long enough and i can see where they're coming from
Both times Aang was using air not water to create the underwater bubble.
Don't skip anything. This show is awesome for first timer
Episode 11 is one of my favorites 💀
There’s no reason to skip a single episode really
2:00 It's me as well! 😆
Ngl ep 11 was my favorite ep in book 1 when i was a kid
Atla Sunday or Saturday reactions 😊❤ Also, Happy Mother’s Day everyone 🎉 also the release of demon slayer s4 will drop today in a few hours.
The episode is not filler. People have zero idea what filler actually is and just use the term to slander things they don't like.
Just because the episode isn't particularly plot relevant, does not make it filler.
The term only applies in instances of adaptations from one medium to another, like books to movies, or more specifically, from manga to anime. It's used to mean material in an adaptation that was not in the source material. Since Avatar is an original cartoon, it does not have filler. That makes zero sense.
I swear filller gets thrown around to much
Filler doesn't just apply to adaptations, it's anything that doesn't contribute to the story (wether it be plot, character or theme)
So many terms are abused.
I agree mostly, just that with the popularity of shows like Naruto and it's truly absurd amount of original (often mediocre) content it has basically degenerated into a catch all for anything that deviates from 'The Plot' and often even just an episode someone doesn't personally like.
Storm is one of my favourite episodes!
I know they are in their anime arc rn but are you guys gonna react to Fallout :)
What?!? Why are people saying to skip 11? I don’t care if you think it’s filler. Haha. It’s one episode. Not the greatest but my goodness. These people are nuts.
Can you guys consider to watch Kaiju no.8, I recommend to watch this because it's funny, a new anime series that just drop previous month, have a nice animation with interesting story, at first it's sorta like one punch man but a Kaiju but probably in the next eps it will be kinda different so...😐 Would you guys considering to watch this?.
Zuko was 13 In the flashback. He’s 16. Now and in the pilot he says he’s been searching for the avatar for 3 years
No future spoilers but the live action version dose make questionable changes for the most part and Zuko’s weird crew in that show is no exception, but I do think the live action version did a better job giving the crew a backstory of why their with the “ banished 0:01 Prince” unlike the anitoon.
Lastly mr. Angelo. You are it’s a superb catcher of who plays who by voice just like me, in fact better for yu can even make out the original Japanese voice actors, so I bet yu can guess who plays the fire lord just by that flashback.
Will you guys be reacting to the Netflix live action series after completing all 3 seasons? I highly recommend it, its an amazing adaptation of the original source material!
bold take
“amazing adaptation” 🤢
The Great Divide isn't terrible, but it's sandwiched between two great episodes which make it look even worse by comparison!
8:25 egg is not vegan Aang😂😂
he’s a vegetarian!
demon slayer Hashira training arc episode one is coming out tomorrow May 12 will you guys react to it? please, because I watched the movie which had the first episode in it and it was soo good, we would all love to see your reactions to it.
I'd like to point out that it did not, in fact, rain, thereby justifying Sokka's use of the tarp as a blanket instead of a rain cover. His reasoning was not incorrect. It was almost impossible that there would be rain, therefore it is illogical to plan for such an outcome. Justice for Sokka! lol
I’d like to point out that it stormed on and off for the next few episodes, so while Sokka’s logic was reasonable, he was lucky the weather didn’t arrive slightly sooner.
🔥❤️🔥🔥
11 might be a bottom 3 episode but i dont get why people hate it enough to ask for a skip. Your compromise was genius tho
This series isn’t a kid show, it’s getting serious
no but really.. how did she get up there??
Why did people suggest skipping episode 11? Like what's wrong with it?
Plz review goblin slayer
seriously, you are not the only one. people have been asking how did she get up there to the cave
There is a path to the cave. You see it when Katara first sees the cave.
Zuko apologized to his father he got burned, when he apologized to Iroh he was immediately forgiven. What a mad lad Iroh
Are you planing to react to bleach ?
I've seen many reactions to the last airbender, this is the first time I've heard people should skeep episode 11.
There is no filler episodes in Avatar
People just call the great divide a filler episode because its not good
But saying to skip it because its filler is dumb imo
Look at that, leave someone to form their own opinion and you might be surprised. It's baffling that people DEMAND that a 20 minute episode be skipped because they didn't like it themselves. Such a dumb and sad way of thinking
Why do people not care about an authentic experience and just watch an episode for its own sake? Avatar might be a great show but it has its flaws which everyone is absolutely willing to neglect or walk past.
Did you know that Zuko's crew of his ship. are the men from the division that the old general wanted to use as bait in the war that zuko spoke against in the war meeting room
I'm pretty sure that's only an add on from the new netflix version, one of the very few good ones from what I've heard.
No
every tells reactors to skip episode 11, and while I agree it is the weakest episode of the entire series, its still better than like, most shows good episodes XD
😂 yeah I’ve watched the great divide dozens of times. Now days I just skip the episode. I don’t hate it but it’s kinda of boring compared to the rest of the season.
This (episode11) is the only flop in avatar in My opinion, absolutely skipable, the only thing we learned is that aang can lie 😂
The worst episode, followed by one of the most underrated episodes. Nobody talks about The Storm when they list their favorites, but it's quintessential Avatar to me.
Episode 12 is a really good backstory episode. The only reason I believe it is underrated because it is not the best backstory episode, that honor goes to another backstory episode later in the series. So people talk a lot about that episode and not much about Book 1 episode 12.
It's simple; I see new ATLA watchers, I ask them to skip episode 11 🙌
Putting the worst episode of the season followed by the best episode was genius.
I could get used to two episodes a video🫣
