Hi Supa flu, I really don't agree with your take on this one mate. There's so many things you missed..
Out of the gate, you completely missed Georges demented take on Norwegian Wood (on the Park bench) also it's brief excerpt inclusion on the main song vid opening. This is possibly a subtle clue to the intent of this song/video release. The basic theme of "Now and Then" for example is not just for the song it's also dynamically expressed in every A.I. vid insert. Notice the shadowing details used with each scene to make it more real in the virtual "Then and Now" rooms shared.
The audible recordings dynamic sound is nothing short of amazing. -Ringo's drums opening is spectacular as is Paul's bass. The Orchestra: incredible, as is the sonic fidelity to make it all cohesive. Each scene heartfelt. Most everyone I share this vid with expresses an emotional response and reminiscence The long standing heart connection we have all shared with the Beatles throughout time we are once again sharing now and then. Do you remember when the Beatles first released the double A side of We can work it Out/ Day Tripper? (Dec 65) -I thought not, but I do. I had just bought my first Vox Amp and a Gretsch Tennessean guitar. It sounded just like Day Tripper. You had to be there, and you had to be here, as well. I'd say take off the brown tinted glasses and have another look. The Beatles waters still run deep and wide for so many, Now and Then. Thanks with much love to Paul, Ringo, John and George for carrying the torch and being so great in these times we all have shared. Your influence came once again as a surprise, to us all now and then too. In closing SuperFlu, I still dig your shtick. Keep it coming, it's all good. Love and Peace, -doug
Yeah I wholly and entirely disagree with your take on the song but you dropped some solid funny hahas in this video so respect. Bad opinion though.

The song is beautiful. I hated the ELO 90.attempt, but this was brilliant.
My thoughts on this song were nearly identical. One thing that made the Beatles’ songs better than most of the individual solo efforts was the fact that they would stand up to each other and challenge the work to make it ultimately better. When Paul is tiptoeing around the ghosts of his dear friends, he can’t really do that. And of course, if he did, John and George wouldn’t be around to stand up for any genius parts Paul wanted to change.
I also agree that the stuff Paul took out was some of the most interesting content in the demo. I wonder if that will pop up later as a new ‘last’ Beatles single.

Hello from Germany, erst einmal muss ich sagen, dass du eine sehr angenehme Stimme hast, die man gerne hört. Ich finde es gut, dass sich auch Personen wie du dazu äußern, die ein Grundwissen von der Geschichte der Beatles haben. Leider ist es auch wieder das Klischee, das der Erfolg, dem man im eigenen Land hat, nicht zählt, geneidet wird und von diesen Personen runter gemacht wird. Anstatt sich nur ein bisschen zu freuen, was da uns allen jetzt noch geschenkt wurde, wird jedes Haar in der Suppe nochmal und nochmal... und nochmal, auf weitere Fehler und Schwächen obduziert. Kann man machen, aber man kann auch mal den Arsch in der Hose haben und anschließend "Danke" sagen, zu diesem kleinen Diamanten der Musikgeschichte dieser Tage. Aber das ist für viele zu schwer, da sie nicht aus ihren eigenen Zwangsjacken herauswollen, um frische Luft zu schnappen. Die Dinge einfach so stehen zu lassen, wie sie da geboten werden. Aber was solls, Paul, Ringo, Yoko, Sean, Giles etc. wissen was sie wollen und können und sind in der glücklichen Lage, nicht neu im Musikgeschäft von heute zu sein, um daran zu zerbrechen.
