I love the fact that they where joking about feeding and patting the fish and how its intimidating then a minute later you see the sign again that sais "Do not touch fish they can sever limbs". I know both Joey and Rod know best practices and can handle the fish but i still think theirs some comedy in there somewhere.
Any guesses on how many weeks until Joey starts building a giant pool at his house for his own huge fish? I am thinking 2 weeks. He had a lot of fun hanging out there.
Can you please try to get an arapaima scale and compare it to your arowana scales? I know there isn’t much to compare but I still think it would still be cool to see. Edit: maybe a silver arowana scale to
I love this, i needed this episode today. You just gotta give it a go Joey, that'd be a fun feeding fest in person. Especially the Arapaima. Curious to if you might get a Sturgeon ever. I think that's something that would be beautiful to have.
When I first started trying to get back in the hobby, I saw a Arawona and thats what I wanted to get... I didn't know the name of it so I google "fish ara..." and was literally trying to buy am Arapaima for my 65 gallon😂😂 thank God for Joey clearing that up for me
I always wonder what do you do with sturgeons when they grow up. In the wild most ones, atlantic and diamond included, become saltwater fish. They can adapt to freshwater as they spawn, but can they do that permanently?
Yeah It is so cool that they can be kept in ponds. But the experts warned me that the young sturgeons (when they are still small) die to cats a lot because they swim slowly or something
Hey Joey i live like 15 min from this place. If uou need me to go and get you anything from there lemme know, i got you. Definetly gonna try to meet ya at fish bash brother!!
I bet you would love to have a tank that size but man that food bill. Enjoy your vids Joey keep it up can't wait to see what your up to in the next one
Those Diamondback sturgeon are awesome just last week and I actually was wrangling sturgeon in Wisconsin and we caught a wild White Lake sturgeon and a 82 inch sturgeon! They are some of the coolest fish!
I know it's not particularly related to this video but I thought this might be a good place for some advice; I'm planning on getting 6 ottos and only have a 5 gallon quarantine tank should I quarantine them in that or just put them straight in my main tank. The reason I ask is ive heard they get quite stressed and are picky with water parameters so will such a small quarantine tank do more harm than good as I will need more water changes that might stress them.
If it's stress from water parameters that you're worried about then I'd just say put them in the main one. It'll save the hassle and stress of doing water changes with them in it then having to move them again anyway. If it's disease you're worried about then qt for sure.
no, smelts are not the ideal food for a freshwater predatory fish. they are a marine species and incredibly oily. Great for a treat, but not necessarily as a daily staple. The Vancouver Aquarium once (probably about 25 years ago by now) killed off a bunch of it most amazing big freshwater predators, including a tank full of monstrously large asian arowanas by feeding them a bad batch of smelt. Not that's it is always so dangerous, but can can bad quickly if not fresh or freshly thawed.
ROB IS MY FAVORITE DUDE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD! SUCH A COOL PERSON! WOULD DO ANYTHING TO GIVE UP DENMARK AND GO WORK FOR HIM! :O The Arapaima's feeding.. Siiiick!
You should get an arapaima Joey or one of those sturgeon with the diamond pattern on them, those things are gorgeous. Would look great in the arowana/stingray tank
This is why People need to do research on the fish they get, The bala shark is such a common fish people get when it is small and don't realize how big they can get (same with goldfish)
PART 1: ua-cam.com/video/kDs-3k5GYS8/v-deo.html
Great video, you have so much useful knowledge, I would like someday my films to be as good as yours, best regards!
You should get a Paroon shark instead of an ID shark, they look so much cooler!
Joey go live so I can superchat you and finally tell you how awesome you are
Rod is so humble and kind! Great example :)
Omg I think I'm in love with those arapaima. what gorgeous fish, someday if I ever get a house with a pool... lol.
I love Joey to death, but I've never seen Joey be scared to feed a fish. Theres always a person with a bigger fish in a bigger tank. Love your videos!
Midnightman .....How about you sticking Your hand in that tank and see how you feel about it?
That’s why they’re called predatory fish.
Midnightman im not scared... but who wants to watch a know it all with no reaction to anything? I exaggerate a bit, obviously. More so just have fun.

Man that's some good protein while I'm always eating processed foods :')
Dude arapaimas are by far the most badass tank fish ever. Don't even argue.
you know you gotta bring them coconuts and siren outfit for that uh?
Any guesses on how many weeks until Joey starts building a giant pool at his house for his own huge fish? I am thinking 2 weeks. He had a lot of fun hanging out there.
Let's be honest he probably would have done it already if he didn't live in Canada.
@@a.b.8080 true. The temps up there are probably holding him back
Joey - ''I wanna touch her, I wanna know how she feels!' Rod - ''Just watch that mouth!' LOLZ ' *SNAP!* Joey - 'Swiftly moving on!'
Can you please try to get an arapaima scale and compare it to your arowana scales? I know there isn’t much to compare but I still think it would still be cool to see.
