Looks like you are having a lot of fun on this bike! Can’t wait to see it on more rides and testing videos. It is exciting to see you on an eBike that wants to go as fast as you do.
You know me Robot- I am having a blast with this bike! Next video on more test rides is posting on Saturday! Haha and you said it right, you know I’m at my happiest when I can go fast! Thanks for being here 😍
Always love your enthusiasm, I'd have thought that it'd have been ridden a while before unleashing the beast! lol Glad that you're promoting motorcycle helmet, glove, elbow and knee pads. I'd suggest motorcycle pants and jackets. You can get various levels of padding but the benefit of motorcycle pants and jacket is how they are sewn, when you hit the ground at 35-45 mph the material will stay together and not rip apart! Normal clothes will likely rip apart and your elbow and knee pads can easily rip off too if they are not integrated into clothing that won't rip apart.
Thank you thank you! That was my plan to ride it for a while before unleashing it lol! But, I was in a time crunch cause the next day I was leaving on vacation, plus I had just been riding some other very powerful bikes, so thought to brave it out! I 100% agree with you in that I should have been wearing motorcycle pants and jacket! Road rash on bare skin is one of the most painful things everrrr, plus I don’t want to rip my pretty clothes lol. I do have motorcycle clothing, next time it’s coming out of the closet. Thanks so much for your support and for chiming in ❤
I've ridden bicycles for nearly all of my 74 years. Currently, I have a recumbent trike with a mid-drive motor (Shimano E6000) at the bottom bracket. I've been over 30 mph on it, (down hill) and it is very frightening. One slip of the wrist on the handle bars and I would be flipped over and sliding along with 40 pounds of trike on top of me for good measure. Speed is fun. I've been well over 100 mph on motor cycles before, so I know. My point is, I think people need to remember that these new bikes are just that - bicycles. When my Ecells 5 Star arrives I will be ecstatic to effortlessly cruise at 25 mph down the bike lane. The true benefit of these bikes is that they can take you almost anywhere you want to go. The torque and power make riding them effortless. However, speeding along with traffic should not be the end goal. Sorry, I know I'm soap-boxing and preaching. It's the Dad in me. Anyway, glad to hear your enthusiasm for the E-cells machine. Sounds like it won you over. Be careful out there. Wear tougher clothing if you're going to be speeding in traffic. Looking forward to your further testing and reviews.
For me ebike is about long range travel rather than speed, always pedaling on pas 1,2 without much effort to get decent personal speed and quite good range, throttle is good if you want to rest your legs for a bit, but seeing that most people nowadays looking after speed most of times, because of this accidents happen and strict laws, bans starting to appear.
You're not preaching at all man that's exactly what you bikes were meant for and the way everyone is using it and how popular it's getting yeah it's just honestly ridiculous and why they're getting caught up in all the shi they're getting caught up with truly sucks when sumthin just gets to known by everyone
You're bringing up good points... that you have great fun and you can go fast. This replaces cars with the right weather. Question: Does you altitude in the Denver area make it harder or easier for a bike to perform across the range and top speed? Theoretically I'd think temperature has far, far more of an effect than altitude.
Thanks my friend! I try to bring as many helpful points as possible, an eBike always has a learning curb and quirks, so it’s my job to inform my wonderful viewers. That’s a great question, I really don’t think Denver’s altitude would impact it’s performance, I’m thinking if I went much higher into the mountains that it could impact it, but yes weather/temperatures are huge factors!
This bike does deserve the best reviews! This 5 star is the base model with no upgrades, so cadence sensor. I might get an upgraded version down the road so that I can review it for you guys! Thanks so much for your kind words and welcome to the channel!
@@abelaleman3531 Aww you’re welcome! And so happy you loved my review! I do have lots more content coming on this incredible machine, including an exciting and thorough full review! So appreciate you having you here! ❤️
I could see this bike being scary for a first time e-biker. Old time racers will tell new people to learn how to be smooth first, then worry about getting fast. Also just fast isn’t always the quickest. Seems like whiskey throttle is prevalent on this bike. The bike should be a good seller for ecells. Happy Riding!! and Happy Vacation!
Thanks for chiming in my friend! And yes, the key is starting slow and smooth- feathering the throttle especially if the settings are tuned to the maximum power like I have them here. The whiskey throttle could be due to user error lol, and also due to it being sticky- but that has been fixed, key is in awareness at all times when grabbing the right hand grip. This bike is selling like hot cakes for E-Cells. Thank you thank you loving my vacation! 😍
I don’t remember you saying “holy smikers” in another top speed run. I think onlookers saw some blue blurr going past them at 40+ miles an hour cussing like a sailor. I can’t wait for that motor goat video 😂
LOL! This is my fastest eBike to date, so far before this one I haven’t cussed, and you know I’ll be cussing on the Motor Goat and that’s why you want to watch that video right!? 🤣
Glad you realize what you heard was wrong about my company. Nice looking review. The hand gripe is touching the throttle. Just move hand grip so it doesnt rub on throttle. Easy fix. Its ok to say holy shit, lol n Have fun in Mexico.
Yes, indeed! Thanks so much for your easy fix and for being here supporting my channel and your incredible new model! I’m glad you support my “Holly sh..” lol! And thank you! ❤
Great question! And sorry I didn’t explain this in the video. This happens mainly when you have a full or a half twist throttle on a bike, and you accidentally twist it when you’re not meaning to. Since it’s on the grip itself. Let’s say you’re just walking your bike with both hands on the throttle and accidentally touch the throttle, it can get away from you (get ripped apart from your hands) and hurt someone or your bike when it plummets down to the ground. I hope this helps and thanks for watching ❤
I hope that you can get that throttle issue figured out, before it sticks at a critical situation. I’d hate for anything to happen to you! Maybe see if the outer right hand grip is pressed up too tight against the turn throttle and creating too much friction and causing it to stick at times? Maybe see if Jhon can adjust them, to make sure that they are not rubbing against each other. Not sure where you went on vacation, but if you are with your family, be sure to tell your Mom hello from your robot : )
Hey Robot! I spoke with David after I made this video and he told me how to resolve this issue! And your right it was the right hand grip pressed too tight against the turn throttle. Jhon did adjust it right before I left creating more space and it feels much better! I am in Mexico with my family, and my mom sure knows about you and happy to tell her you said hi! So sweet Robot!
@@e-cells2222Yes!!! Thanks so much for this- issue has been fixed, and I’ll make sure to mention this on my next video so my viewers know what to do if this happens to them 😉
You say you like the BMX bars so try lowering the saddle/seat until the bar tops are at 1" or 2" below your shoulder tops. Forget about pedaling & just use your bar throttle. Mine have a 9.5" bar rise on a folding giraffe stem fully collapsed & perfect for me.
Haha I do like my BMX bars, but I also love pedaling and need to have proper leg extension. As they are the handlebars they are plenty tall for me! Thanks for chiming in ❤
Forget about peddling? It's a bicycle.. you know, with pedals that you pedal. If ebikes didn't come with pedals, I would never have gotten one. I guess for some people, getting a little exercise is a very strange concept these days.
Hi! It’s a handlebar bag from Amazon. And I love it! It’s spacious and has a cell phone clear pocket on top. I’m out of the country and away from my bike so I can’t check the brand for you, I’ll be back next week and can check for you. If you buy this Five Star eBike, it comes with two cool and practical bags for the bike too 😀
I’m 5’11” and like to have a high seat for proper leg extension while pedaling, that’s why it looks so high, but you can lower it a good amount! If I had to guess I would say it’s 30”-31”, but not sure. I promise on my upcoming full review I’ll have measurements for your friend!
