I met Alexei via his son once a few years back on vacation in Saint-Tropez, I was surprised by how friendly and open he was, he discussed politics and business so openly and was nothing like I had imagined, meeting him completely changed my often warped perception of the Russian's, he was not remotely unapproachable or scary - just a nice chap with an unimaginably clever head on his shoulders - his new yacht is simply stunning, hope they have many happy voyages on her.
It's fugly, what are you on about. The three colour tones for a start don't go with each other. They have tried to hide the helicopter bay by creating a large sweeping charcoal lump, just to make it look top heavy. It's a complete mess. As a designer I would be happy to bet that the client at some early point started sticking his oar in and the builders lost the will to live and gave in to him.
I enjoyed this video, thank you. I would like to request to see more close ups in the future please. The close ups are fascinating to watch. The walking along side it on the harbour wall was great to see, thank you.

I just cant help thinking the elevation appears to be way to much in the vein of a simple triangle....and I wonder (of course this is designed by a great firm and etc etc etc etc) the aesthetic of such a symmetrical ( somewhat...if you know what I mean you know what I mean) craft just seems 'aesthetically' lacking consideration. How do others feel? From the comments I get the feeling everyone is just throwing praise at a 'private yacht' which is massive....but what about a ship of the same size....which there are plenty of....would you do the same??
I'm not a fan. The aircraft carrier-like bow is undeniably ugly, and the retracting canopy over the helideck looks cheap and slapdash. Isn't there room for a heli hanger in that ugly bow?
@@visionist7 great vision, Visionist. Yes, just another spend as much as you can commercially developed monstrosity. What an absolutely ridiculously gorgeous vessel. Can’t wait to see more of what she can do.
Wow!! NORD is just PHENOMENAL!!
Thank you very much for the wonderful video Nicky!!

Nicky, it will be great if you could take a video of Nord at night, when she is lit up in all her glory😊

I love this power house. She is strong yet unique & beautiful in her own way. 👍😉✌
One for Aquaholic to check out.
Would love that, but doubt he would get access to such a beast.
The helicopter compartment is amazing!
НОРДИК Красавчик !!! Удачный проэкт !
Well that was exciting watch..able few things done ..
What a beautiful yacht!!!
Superb video, love the high-res! A drone would've been nice ;-)
Thank you so much! Amazing video! I was waiting for this
Gran vídeo enhorabuena ,en cuanto a Nord otro sueño hecho realidad por Lurssen ,los mejores sin duda
Muchas gracias 🙏
Excellent video, well done Nick, keep it up 👏👏
Thanks Michael, glad you like it
Let warm memories and happy mischievous days warm your heart and lift your mood.
Fantastic design!
Nice video, thanks for uploading it. Beautiful yacht slightly spoilt by the tacky big luminous NORD signs.
@2 demons attached yep or a prize bingo. Such a small thing spoiling a beautiful yacht.
Still admiring. Still a top favorite.

Very nice
Simply amazing.... But on the upper deck those three (telescopic I hope) black boxes are really spoiling the whole thing
Its a retractable hunger for the helicopter

Is this a Usmanov boat, with the beige hull, it might be? Same as Dilbar...and Tis...
No, owner is Alexei Mordashov
This is my favorite mega yacht. He should have made it over 500 ft though
Looks like she could take on a small country!
overall design is cool but, who picks tan, grey, black, and neon teal as colors for their megayacht?
Who cares, it’ll never be you!
Someone who can afford a megayacht
Magnificent
I liked the seats in the helicopter that comes with it, so I bought the boat. I'll use it one weekend per year.
The sound in the beginning is :25 not seagulls folks! I repeat…not seagulls.
The mast needs more antennas.
who is the owner?
I wanna know that too !! Unfortunately, it's not me :o(
Isn't this the new boat for abramovich?

500 million Euros or Dollars not sure

Why is every video of the Nord in bad weather?? Anyone else notice that?
Tough filming today, the wind gusts were vicious
Perhaps because it's brand new, and it's winter, and they haven't had a chance to take it to the Southern Hemisphere yet. Just a guess.
Why?

RUSSIA 💪😎👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice boat, shame about the pointy (ugly blunt) end. The designer obiously used his pencil rubber too much, then refused to 'fess up' to the mistake.
Het lijkt meer op een oorlogschip dan op een privé superjacht
This is a Giga Yacht not a Super Yacht

You have to remember the number of people who have jobs because of builds like this and later the upkeep.
