What a great way to take a break from work : a nice cup of coffee and listening this wonderful music by Evangelina.
Probably the best version recorded on the lute of this famous fugue, all the voices are clear and limpid, the phrasing always directed and felt, the whole of a devastating beauty. Bravo!
I also find Mario D'Agosto's version absolutely incredible! Both for this fugue and for the other works for lute by Bach.!

Uso nylon sulla 1 , nylgut 2 e 3 , carbonio 4 e 5, rivestite Savarez e carbonio per i bassi.

From Wikipedia: Bach extracted the second movement from his Sonata No. 1 in G minor for solo violin, BWV 1001, written in 1720, and rewrote it; it is not clear that it was intended for the lute.[2] No definitive manuscript version exists today, although there is a contemporary copy in tablature, possibly made by Bach's lutenist friend, Christian Weyrauch. Wikipedia also states that Bwv 1000 is two bars longer than the violin version.

Nice! Nontheless I would always recommend to go back to Hopkinson Smith for a much more expressive and original interpretation.
I just checked Hopkinson Smith and his timing and dynamics are all over the place? Not sure about it...
