The Amazon camerawork / edits are great. The commentating blows!

I thought the commentating was decent - they clearly had notes/info on players lower in the lineup. Nobody can come close to Shorthouse though!

roger's is the worst broadcaster model to happen to canuck hockey. absolutely geared for ontario, quebec and edmonton. edmonton playing in vancouver and we got to listen to the oiler homeboys call the game. glitchy game coverage. their sportsnet+ app absolute licks. amazon is a professional product. i miss the shorthouse crew but their game coverage is superior to rogers.

The commentating was IMHO was miles ahead of listening to Luke Gazdic. Mr. I learned all the ins and outs of the NHL game there is to know in the AHL and the pressbox.

I appreciate and enjoy the Amazon announcers. Just don’t care for their way of showing penalty clock but that may just be something to get used to.

Well shannon is right about animosities waning with a winning team. We need some heavy muscle to protect players more. Too many injuries. Not for dirty play and penalties, for heavy wearing other team players down and warning them to lay off the canucks.

NHL .500 is points percentage, not win percentage, that’s the difference. They’re above .500 in points percentage and below .500 in win percentage

One of the hosts last time referred to the score as 3-4. First time I've ever seen the lower score first.

I can’t stand the Amazon announcers, and am pretty close to watching those games on mute. Their commentary is so inane, each word more useless than the last. Totally lacking in up to date knowledge of teams, markets, & the game of hockey. That crew might actually be a beta version of an AI Amazon is deploying

Amazon broadcasts look terrific, noticeably sharper than Sportsnet, massively better than TSN. I like some of the between period special content, the commentary just needs better talent. Hard to compete with Sportsnet who have the cream of the crop really, especially on the local crews besides Toronto's. Give it time though. For me, the most important thing is the game streams smooth and clear. Sportsnet's package is pathetic compared to other services like FUBO.
