Mr. Bernstein, it was one of the most inspiring masterclass I have ever watched. Those students who played for you are extremely lucky. Thank you and thank you for staying healthy for all of us. Hope to see you soon. Sending you lots of love and hugs!
Dear. Mr. Bernstein Today I was so happy to see you through the UA-cam channel.😊 And I was also glad to see that online master classes are available! I want to see you more often in online.😄 Today I'm so moved by yr heartfelt playing!! pls always be healthy n happy moment 💓 With my warm heart From apple tree in korea🇰🇷
Oh Shirley, the students ought not to have played those advanced pieces except for the Brahms boy. How can you play Chopin and Schubert without knowing how to pedal legato? I was shocked and rather depressed.
I am very sorry to you seem to be rather painful to listen to the kids' playing. I was even wondering why the grade 5 kids learned those pieces. I was trying to buy the book you showed, but it is out of stock at the moment so l will order the korean translated book by Dr. song. I am looking forward to have your book and still want to have an English version one too. I am so touched by your story and beautiful playing. Thank you!
Dear Jiyeon oh, are you a teacher? If so were you not surprised that a student is taught the Chopin Fantasie Impromptu without knowing how to pedal legato. Apart from that I was surprised that the students seemed incapable of doing the simplest things. I feel those works were all too difficult for them. The boy however can play very well, but musically he has no idea of how to shape that Brahms Sonata. Thank you for writing. I hope onen day to meet you in S. Korea. Seymour
@@SeymourBernstein Hi, Seymour! I will be thrilled when l have the chance to meet you someday. I live in Canada. I am not a piano teacher but still can say that kids who play that level of pieces, that don't know how to use legato pedal, even with your help, is surprising. I hope the kids were inspired by you so they think deeper about approaching music and learning musical structure too. In my experience it was hard to find a good teacher like you, and that makes you very precious.
Can someone tell me all the pieces Mr. Bernstein played in the beginning? So sublime, spiritual, and prayerful! Mr. Bernstein thank you! Your life, beliefs, passion just oozes out of your playing. What a blessing to just turn on the UA-cam and experience this blessing over and over again.

I am so confused. How can they (two of the young girls) play such advanced pieces but not know how to pedal?
Please write the name of the author of the piano transcription of Mozart's composition 0:30 . Thank you
